I'd say it's all part of the game. How the question is asked and how the person who answers chooses how to answer can really throw you for a loop. It's impossible to remember every detail of each pokemon. It's also easy to miss a small detail like eye color. I'm sure they each looked at them well at the pokemon after asking a question to mark them off. It's a really neat concept because you can't predict much

That Riolu round reminded me of a spanish youtuber who did a nuzlocke where he had his "friend" to choose rules every episode. On one he couldn't catch pokémon with any red. He found a Steelix and from that day on I haven't forgotten that Steelix has red eyes. (And now I won't forget Riolu has red eyes now probably)

I have a concept for a video... Spin a wheel to get 3-4 typing, and that's all you can catch. 15min timer. Anything dual type containing both of your typings, gets buffed. Failure to obtain 1 dual type containing 2 of your typing, a pokemon gets a debuff. Twist these rules however you wish.
I had an idea for a new Pokémon move watching this video. "Coals" Type: Fire Category: Set-up/Stackable Pokémon throws hot coals on the ground. 1x layer deals damage like spikes (with fire typing) 2x layers inflicts burn Fire types would, of course be immune to the damage, but would not remove the coals the way poison types remove poison spikes.
When Bulletproof was the ability you rolled it reminded me of when I used Shadow Ball on one of my sister's Pokémon and it did nothing because that Pokémon had Bulletproof.
