This might be one of my favorite "Then we Battle" ideas yet. I know Patterz didn't come up with it, but I like the twist of being able to spend 100 to force a switch out.

Not bidding 300 on the Lunala is indeed a move. 300 is the sweetspot for getting a Legendary while also draining the opponent if they go any higher.
Wow the intensity of the timer and the entire concept was so fun to watch, great video pat and the penguinn never disappoints

@@drax1526 I know. I don’t think they’ve ever revealed their faces, so I get it. But it’s like, even if they never meant to get popular, they can’t just ignore the fact that they are. I mean, if the big names are recognizing them often, they’d be silly to not Atleast make a vid or two, ya know?
I like both groups but I'm not sure if they would be a good pairing for this style of video. Patterz, Shady and friends seem way sweatier than Quick and Chilln. Maybe if they make mixed pairs between the groups.
@@John-ex6hw The have collaborated before and one of them signaled their interest in the comments when some big Poketuber (I think Wolfey or PChal) announced a tournament with a similar concept, although they didn't end up participating.
Great vid. I do think if you do this again, there shouldn't be a limit to how many Pokemon you can buy- Pat filling out his team kind of made things easy mode for Shady. Obviously you can only bring 6 to the battle, but letting you buy as many as you can afford and then bring your best 6 would make the later rounds more interesting.
In that case, maybe up the funds a bit. Stick to 10 rounds each, $1500 each, allowed to have a max of 10 Pokemon bought.

Shady turn 1 buying the Gulpin - I love that so much, Gulpin is unironically one of my favorite Pokemon and I love to see the love! Swalot is sneaky good.
I think it would've been interesting if you could spend $100 to force the opponent to stay in as well as making them switch
Wouldnt that be too broken as in firat turn whoever gets bad hand always loses a pokemon, no?
Not bidding early is actually incredibly smart because you can also pick pokemon that counter the opponents pokemon

THIS I need more of this. I normally never watch the battle itself but with a Twist of being able to make opponents switch out it made it definitely worth the watch

Im in awe. The gimmick for choosing pokemon was fun, there was so much strategy and Shady picked up on it perfectly. And then the battle was insane. It felt neck and neck the entire battle. I cant believe how absolutely amazing this entire video was

this has been my favourite "then we fight" format
This episode was so damn good, the timer bit at the end was so funny too (though it woulda suckedso much if it wasn't a basically guarenteed victory that turn 😅).
Imagine one of these but as a round robin with like four-six "and then we battle" folks. More money and everyone trying to outbid each other, that'd be a rad special episode!

Pat just a suggestion for ya, keep the auction but have 4 or 8 players for you then do a tournament style bracket. and with if they win the battle against the opponent, then you can take one of that persons pokemon collection that they won from the auction.

made me think about this:
how about both people having 1100$ in six rounds each, the opponent decides which of the 3 pokemons will be 300$ / 200$ and 100$ for the chooser to "buy"
with this budget you will have to choose a 100$ one at least once and if you get a 300$ one you in exchange gotta take 100$ twice.
if it's been done before my bad xD
$200 should let you choose which Pokémon the opponent switches into
