An alternative idea to this: You can only ask subjective questions so things like; "Would you be friends with this pokemon" "Would this pokemon help an old lady cross the street" "would their house be a mess" Maybe increase the questions asked to 4 or 5 seeing as its more subjective since there would be better odds of it being wrong.
and then at 12:35 he marked off Growlithe even though it IS weak to water. I am starting to think maybe Pat just doesn't know what is and is not weak to water.
That's common knowledge really. The real tricky one that only real Pokemon masters know is that Carkol, the Fire/Rock type, isn't weak to water or electric.
I want to point out the genius of this format real quick. The levels of strategy involved are nuts. You can just outright make perfect guesses and eliminate all wrong answers, but if you don't, then you have to know your opponent's strategy and team building habits. It's genius
Everyone else is pointing out the Annihilape thing, but I'm more concerned with the later part with Growlithe. Definitely a big oops, felt bad for him there. But I had quickly noticed his mistake and got confused about things he left up. Weak to water or electric: Forretress, Lurantis, Kubfu, Mew, Ditto, Azelf, Revavroom? Patterrz, buddy, feel like you got a little mixed up there 😂
Nah it was on Patterrz. He asked if the pokemon Dylan selected, Growlithe, was weak to water or electric. Dylan said yes, so Growlithe should've stayed up. Patterrz accidentally marked Growlithe out, and also left up those Pokemon I listed, which should've been marked out because they aren't weak to water or electric. If not for that, he would've even had a great chance at guessing, because most of the board would've been gone.
The amount of pokemon that got marked off wrong is hilarious "Does it have 3 stages" *proceeds to mark off pupitar azumarrill garganacle and bacalibur* lmao
Azumarill was the only one that shouldn't have been marked because pupitar, garganacl, and baxcalibur all have more than 2 weaknesses and that was the previous question. Also, forgetting azumarill is understandable because it's very hard to remember baby pokemon.
That's just basic "Guess who" play though: Find a question that eliminates half of your board, mostly combining questions. "does your person have glasses or a mustache", perfect question if half people remaining have glasses and/or a mustache. Edit: since a lot of people seem to disagree, the official rules of Guess Who, which you can easily find online (link seem to be disuaded by YT), only has one restriction on the question you ask: it has to be a "yes or no"-question. there are no restrictions as to what you ask, so long as your opponent can answer yes or no, so any "double questions" are perfectly within the official rules of the game. If you're house ruling "only one descriptive", then that's on you.
@@SC51793 that you're no longer narrowing it down. If you're lumping to many descriptives in, a "yes" will suddenly not actually narrow it down. Sure, you can get lucky and your opponent has drawn someone without freckles, glasses, white skin or a mustache, but if that applies to for example 70% if the board and they answer "yes, they have at least one of those", then suddenly you're only eliminating 30%, whereas if you ask for just mustache or glasses, thst might apply for 50%, and either way you eliminate 50%. You can then proceed to eliminate half the board each round by asking the correct questions and only gamble if you're behind in eliminating people.
If you ask “is your Pokémon normal fire water grass poison bug fighting electric psychic ground dark rock flying ghost steel ice or fairy?” (every type besides dragon) and they say yes (by far the most likely answer) then you only eliminate 1-2 options out of 30. More parameters doesn’t mean more info
I never get tired of how you turn these games into Then We Fight videos. This was a wonderful way to do it. Shark Tank remains number one in my book, and Deal or No Deal takes second place. But this one is definitely up there. Well done, and looking forward to what comes next. Also, already bought Tactica and Platinumed it. Worth every minute and every cent, 9/10. One thing I'd really be interested to see you do, though, is a monotype battle. Maybe even both players with the same monotype...but that seems better suited for a tournament than a one-off.
@@CarlosThadeuoh my bad bro my dumbass was looking at scorbunnys evolution I didn’t even see drizzle 😂💀 Edit: he must’ve been talking about finding it in the wild

Fire, water, grass, electric, psychic, dark, ice, and fairy. If you ask if it’s a monotype and they say yes that is not the worst question. However only having one question after would suck. I wouldn’t do it but there is ways to use it
This was a great way to pick starters Must do more often, maybe make a rule where u can’t ask the same question again or a question the other person has asked
12:36 im so confused, patterz asked if it was weak to water or electric, got rid of ting Lu, carcoal, growlithe, and bruxish. But kept kubfu, azelf, lurantis, forretress, ditto, revaroom and mew
Oh my god. okay, when I was a kid my dad literally made and printed out new cards for Guess Who for pokemon. We had only the first 151 (Mew was one of the cards) and we would guess things like if it could fly or if it had certain colors. i did not win too often, primarily due to being able to ask about typing since my family did not know them that well (Even my brother, who plays pokemon, doesn't know typing off the back of his hand. You ask him magnetite's typing and he will probably forget the steel typing)
oh man, it didn't matter but for the question at 9:17 does your pokemon have three evolve form, they cross out azumarill but they do have a three form, their third one, from gene 3 with Azurill as first form
You should do this again but instead of 3 questions each, you ask a question one at a time until someone guesses right. The winner gets their Pokémon and gets to choose the other persons
Solid fight, damn!! I feel like Pat really worked with the 'mons he got from Dylan and built them to his advantage, which ended up making the battle feel like it could have gone either way!!!
Awesome format, really enjoyed this video and an awesome battle as a result. Great vid, please do this with vintendo pat, he would be HILARIOUS at this guess who format.
What is that marking in the question asking weak to electric or water how is ditto, mew, azelf and the others weak to either typings and how is carcoal not weak to water?

Tactica is actually quite good
I actually just bought the digital deluxe edition

Why does it say Annihilape is weak to water?
I think I have the same glasses as your ulternate dimension self

Nah it was on Patterrz. He asked if the pokemon Dylan selected, Growlithe, was weak to water or electric. Dylan said yes, so Growlithe should've stayed up. @@brandonjones3345 I mean ditto could be weak to water or electric. Imposter on a Charizard to make it fire/flying type...

I loved this idea. Guess who was always fun growing up and it was a lot of fun watching it in this format. Great video
