Something I learned for slowpoke shiny hunting is that you can just look at his tongue. The normal slowpoke has a similar color to his skin while the shinies’ tongue looks darker in contrast to his lighter colored skin.
My favourite type is actually Normal. I started liking it because I felt sorry for Normal types for getting so much flack for being the "boring" type, but then I grew to genuinely love it. I'm also so, SO happy Larry has arrived in our lives to show us all how great Normal is. Thank you for representing, Larry! :D

I was honestly pretty surprised at how much I agreed with some of these opinions. The ghost and ice types really surprised me, but the more I think about it, they’re pretty popular types. My biggest grievance is the fire type. Fire had always been one of my favorite types, both for the type itself and for the Pokémon. When I try to think about Pokémon I really like, especially from gen 1, a good chunk of them are fire types. I also think it makes a really cool secondary typing and can spice up a design

Also love that you found Cubchoo is the best lighting for it. I nearly ran past 2 of them in my game because the bright midday light messes with the purple colour of their head. I stared at my first one for a good minute, trying to figure out it if was shiny or if my eyes were playing tricks on me 😂

When it comes to comparing Pokemon, it's important to look at their strengths and weaknesses to determine which one is better. In this case, we'll be comparing the Water/Ground type Pokemon Wooper to the Ice/Ghost type Pokemon Froslass. While both Pokemon have their own unique abilities and characteristics, we'll explore why Wooper comes out on top in this comparison. Firstly, Wooper has a more diverse movepool than Froslass. While Froslass has access to a variety of Ice and Ghost type moves, Wooper can learn moves from multiple types, including Water, Ground, Rock, and even Psychic. This gives Wooper a wider range of options in battle and makes it more versatile as a team member. Additionally, Wooper can learn moves like Recover and Amnesia, which can be extremely useful in battle. Another advantage that Wooper has over Froslass is its superior defensive capabilities. As a Water/Ground type, Wooper is immune to Electric type moves, which is a common weakness for many Water type Pokemon. Additionally, its Ground typing makes it immune to Poison type moves and resistant to Rock and Steel type moves. This makes Wooper an excellent tank, able to take hits and dish out damage with its high Attack stat. In terms of overall stats, Wooper also comes out on top. While Froslass has higher Speed and Special Attack stats, Wooper has a higher HP, Defense, and Special Defense. This means that Wooper is better equipped to handle physical attacks, which are more common in battle than special attacks. Finally, Wooper's adorable appearance and playful personality make it a fan favorite among Pokemon enthusiasts. Its lovable design and cheerful demeanor have made it a staple in the Pokemon franchise, appearing in numerous games, TV shows, and movies. Froslass, while also a popular Pokemon, lacks the same level of charm and charisma as Wooper. In conclusion, while both Pokemon have their own unique abilities and strengths, Wooper comes out on top in this comparison. With its diverse movepool, superior defensive capabilities, and overall better stats, Wooper is the clear winner. And with its lovable personality and cute design, it's no wonder why Wooper has become a fan favorite in the Pokemon franchise.
You got the resistances wrong for the ground aspect of wooper - it being ground means it resists poison (is not immune to it). The water typing makes it resist steel
guessed your final three correctly 💪💪💪 and I agree almost entirely with your opinions. only difference being I love the bug type a lil more and I'd probably rearrange some of A tier. great vid as always!!!! thank you for suffering for our entertainment 🙏
Got extremely excited when finding out there's a third person in the grass types club, especially using my boy, turtwig as an example of an awesome grass type
i’m a strong believer that GROUND is the most underrated type in the sense that people use mons with it’s type but more often than not praise the mon for it’s other typing.
I am also a Ghost type enjoyer, but I also enjoy ground and steel (I've used Gastrodon in both of my pokemon playthroughs thus far, in Legends Arceus and Scarlet), this is pretty solid, ice is also pretty up there. Nice vid! And thank you for putting your time into this!
For me water is THE best type and no one can change my mind. It has some of the best shinies like kyogre and greninja + many more, and it’s one of the starter options. I’ll say this Noki, I hated that water wasn’t in peak but that’s your own opinion. Water is amazing against a bunch of other types too mostly because they may get ice moves which is really nice to have. Water is an excellent choice for a Pokémon and a excellent choice for Peak 😊
Top tip: Slowpoke's shiny can be spotted very easily if you look at one part - on the shiny, the tongue is MUCH more saturated than the skin, while the skin is more saturated than the tongue on typical colouration.
This guys entertaining. No other words. Also more words in starrail they have a legends of Korea Easter egg from what I saw also ima play this game! And heracross and buy should go in peak I love her across but maybe just nice.
I've never agreed this much with a tier list. Froslass is also my favourite (with Snorunt in an incredibly close place) and it's been drawing me to your content.
Ghost is my favourite, followed by a tie between dragon and water! Which is itself followed by a tie between fairy and dark haha. I like all of them quite a bit but ghost definitely beats the rest out for me
I definitely agree with you're S tiers. Ghost, Ice, and Fairy are my favorite types of all time. Mainly because of the insane Ghost and Ice locations and trainer designs, and the amazing fairy Pokemon like Gardevoir, Primarina, Togekiss, Hatterene, etc. I also agree with the Dragon comment; The past few Dragon Pseudo's have not been popping off that much in comparison to the older gen Dragon Types.
Poison is my favorite by far, and seeing you say trubbish is a reason you bring it up in rank made me the happiest person lol (garbodor is my favorite mon) ❤
My fav type is phycic because my favorite pokemon is reuniclus. I named my main one gummy bear and my shiny raspberry (Btw I always name my reuniclus's after flavors/candy)
Dark is my favorite and nothing comes close. Absol, Weavile, Houndoom, Grimmsnarl, and Bisharp are my top 5 favorite Pokémon which is a major reason why dark is my favorite type. Then seeing Bisharp get an evolution was the cherry on top. I sr’d for shiny Spiritomb in SP which was awesome to get bc I feel that not many people have a shiny Spiritomb that doesn’t say it was hatched from an egg or traded. So that hunt also made me like dark types more bc it was my first ever soft reset shiny. Then I was about to go on a road trip when news about Grimmsnarl raid dens were coming in SwSh and I was so excited. I got two shiny Grimmsnarls and I made one of them get it’s gmax. Currently hunting for a shiny alpha Weavile in PLA to transfer into SV. My second favorite type has to be grass since Breloom was one of my favorite team members way back in Sapphire. I usually pick the grass starters but I didn’t for HG I picked Totodile, Sapphire I picked Mudkip, and Y I chose Froakie. It was hard for this gen but I chose Quaxly bc Water/Fighting is a pretty uncommon type compared to Fire/Ghost and Grass/Dark and I didn’t want to overlap dark with Meowscarada and Kingambit.
Thanks for the spear of justice jumpscare. I was just relaxing watching the video and then, boom intense music starts playing. Scared the absolute crap out of me
Our tier lists are actually pretty simular, although I'd put Dragon and Fighting at the bottom and bump normal up one. Lopunny, Audino, and Furret are some of my favorite mons ever, and they carry the typing HARD
When I saw the title, I was convinced you were talking about different types, read patterns, of shinies. Like, pink shiny, inverted color shiny, same color shiny, green shiny... the list goes on. That would be so cool.
All of your videos are so good, you make me want to get into shiny hunting! (Granted i also want to shiny hunt to make up for the first shiny i ever saw, which also became the first shiny i ever failed. Rip blue-nosed diglett)
NOKIMON EASILY THE BEST POKEMON SHINY HUNTER ON THE INTERNET! You are me and my best friends inspiration working together to do a Nat Dex (all games, all gens etc.).... but its all Shinies. We finished PLA in about 4weeks~,
Ghost type has been my favorite forever. Like you said, peak character design, the towns are always dope, and cool mon designs. Banette has and will always be my favorite spoopy boi
Normal is probably my favorite type or in my top 3! It is a tad plain..but I just find most of the mons under it quite adorable :] It's like, the "I want a plush of that so bad" type, and has some popular or memeable mons in it such as eevee and furret; it also has some actual powerhouses like snorlax. It's just such a comfort type full of great vibes and the shinies are usually pretty good/decent too
Noki: "My favorite Pokemon is based on my top two favorite types." Me: "Hah, who would ever do THAT?" **Fairy and Psychic type shiny Gardevoir staring at me from Pokemon HOME**
15:37 not even lying, i guessed that right, the reason i thought you would put ice at the top of the 3 is because of how much you like froslass and dragon just seems like an overall better type than fighting
Omg. On my cat I swear, I guessed you’d group the final typed like that. I feel iconic. Also just gonna say my peso typings in order. Dark ghost fairy dragon. Those 4 are iconic. Dark and ghost are tied. But my inner edge lord isn’t dead yet. Lol.
I've been watching and really enjoying your videos. This one is awesome I had a very similar idea as well!! Congrats on all the shinys and again loved the video
Alright, time to pull out MLA format to prove that Ice type is the VERY best. Ice-Type Pokémon: The Power of Freezing Statistics Pokémon is a popular franchise that features various types of creatures with unique strengths and weaknesses. Each type is associated with specific moves and abilities that are effective against certain opponents. One type that often gets overlooked in the world of Pokémon is the Ice type. However, statistics show that this type can be quite powerful in the right hands. According to data from the official Pokémon website, there are currently 48 Ice-type Pokémon in existence. While this may seem like a relatively small number compared to other types, it's worth noting that some of the most powerful Pokémon in the game are Ice type. For example, Kyurem, a legendary Pokémon, has a base stat total of 660, making it one of the strongest Pokémon in the game. Additionally, the Ice-type move, "Ice Beam," is one of the most commonly used moves in competitive battling due to its high power and ability to freeze opponents. Ice-type Pokémon also have a few advantages over other types. For example, they are resistant to the common Water-type moves, which makes them valuable in battles against Water-type Pokémon. Additionally, they are immune to Freeze-type moves, which can be useful in certain situations. Another advantage of the Ice type is its ability to set up "hail" weather conditions. Hail is a weather effect that damages all non-Ice-type Pokémon in battle, making it a valuable tool for wearing down opponents. Some Ice-type Pokémon have the ability to summon hail upon entering the battle, giving them a strategic advantage. While the Ice type does have some weaknesses, such as being weak to Fire-type moves and having low defensive stats, these weaknesses can be overcome with the right strategy. For example, pairing Ice-type Pokémon with Fire-type Pokémon can create a balanced team that covers each other's weaknesses. In conclusion, while the Ice type may not be the most popular type in the world of Pokémon, it is a powerful and strategic choice for those who know how to use it. With high-powered Pokémon, useful moves, and strategic advantages, the Ice type can be a valuable addition to any team. So, next time you're battling in the world of Pokémon, don't overlook the power of freezing statistics.
I’ve always liked fighting type Pokémon. I liked them becuase whenever you add fighting type to anything just becomes cooler like fighting fire or fighting water. Urshifu and infernape are awesome
My favorite type is Water, with Electric and Ground being other top tier types for me. Water just has so many Pokémon and, indeed, so many great Pokémon. Like, I can’t think of a Water starter that isn’t at least pretty good, and it just has so many awesome Pokémon. Electric types, I just like because of stuff like the moves and a number of the Pokémon, like the good buddy Pikachu. And Ground I just think is solid, especially with Pokémon like Swampert or Flygon. It’s a real good secondary (or primary, though realistically, it doesn’t matter which is primary or not) type on a lot of Pokémon. Of these, only Water I would argue should be bumped up to Peak, because IMO, it’s just got so many good Pokémon. I’d have a stacked A tier- Fire, Psychic, Dragon, Steel, Ghost, Dark, Fairy, and Ice. No particular order on these, and not much depth to my reasoning in this comment. Fire is the Starter type I tend to go for if not Water, though. My B tier types are Fighting, Flying, Poison, Bug, and Grass. Plenty of good Grass starters, like Turtwig, Grookey, Treecko, and the round friend Rowlet. The others are all solid secondary types, like with best starter ever Infernape being amazing with Fighting. And Bugs just got nice buffs over the years to make them pretty nice as a team member if you find a cool one, like Heracross or Scizor. And C tier, agreed, Normal and Rock. I’d rank Normal higher, though, since Rocks have a bad history of not getting a widely accessible good accuracy strong BP move, and Normals have plenty of options as well as diversity in movepools.

Noki putting tons of effort into videos as usual, proud to say i was here well before 100k :D
Sameeeee
same
Same!! He was around 60k subs when i found his videos
guessed your final three correctly 💪💪💪 and I agree almost entirely with your opinions. only difference being I love the bug type a lil more and I'd probably rearrange some of A tier.
great vid as always!!!! thank you for suffering for our entertainment 🙏
Got extremely excited when finding out there's a third person in the grass types club, especially using my boy, turtwig as an example of an awesome grass type
ghost gang where you at 😎💪
⬇️⬇️people who didn’t skip to the end 🤭
Me

i’m a strong believer that GROUND is the most underrated type in the sense that people use mons with it’s type but more often than not praise the mon for it’s other typing.
Water is an excellent choice for a Pokémon and a excellent choice for Peak 😊
i adore your youtube channel. gosh, i’ll forever look up to you.
If I learned about shiny hunting, complaining and pleading for a shiny helps lol 😂
we going to talk about how hard theses edits are
i always love the charisma and editing in your videos!
Top tip: Slowpoke's shiny can be spotted very easily if you look at one part - on the shiny, the tongue is MUCH more saturated than the skin, while the skin is more saturated than the tongue on typical colouration.
Sandaconda's and skourpi's shinys are underrated
This guys entertaining. No other words. Also more words in starrail they have a legends of Korea Easter egg from what I saw also ima play this game! And heracross and buy should go in peak I love her across but maybe just nice.
I've never agreed this much with a tier list. Froslass is also my favourite (with Snorunt in an incredibly close place) and it's been drawing me to your content.
me playing honkai starrail whilst watching noki not expecting these two interests to combine yet here we are
Ghost is my favourite, followed by a tie between dragon and water! Which is itself followed by a tie between fairy and dark haha.
I like all of them quite a bit but ghost definitely beats the rest out for me
I first read this as "I Caught EVERY Shiny Pokemon"
You are so right with the ghost type! Always been my favorite since my first game platinum, giratina will always be my number 1 favorite Pokémon
As a person who's favorite Pokemon is Gengar, I'm with da GHOST GANG BABY
My fav type is phycic because my favorite pokemon is reuniclus. I named my main one gummy bear and my shiny raspberry
(Btw I always name my reuniclus's after flavors/candy)
Can we talk about Noki's taste in music? Every video has bangers!
As yungoos being one of my personal favorite shinys I am immensely offended noki :( (but I do agree with ghost being the best type)
Noki: Any shinies at all today??
Indeedee: At your service, sir! XD
All of your videos are so good, you make me want to get into shiny hunting! (Granted i also want to shiny hunt to make up for the first shiny i ever saw, which also became the first shiny i ever failed. Rip blue-nosed diglett)
14:02 MY BOYYYYYYY
also how dare you say he is not worth it, rockruff, and the rock type in general is amazing
Nokimon is the cure to depression
NOKIMON EASILY THE BEST POKEMON SHINY HUNTER ON THE INTERNET! You are me and my best friends inspiration working together to do a Nat Dex (all games, all gens etc.).... but its all Shinies. We finished PLA in about 4weeks~,
Ghost type has been my favorite forever. Like you said, peak character design, the towns are always dope, and cool mon designs. Banette has and will always be my favorite spoopy boi
Normal is probably my favorite type or in my top 3! It is a tad plain..but I just find most of the mons under it quite adorable :]
It's like, the "I want a plush of that so bad" type, and has some popular or memeable mons in it such as eevee and furret; it also has some actual powerhouses like snorlax. It's just such a comfort type full of great vibes and the shinies are usually pretty good/decent too
Ice is my fav type but Ghost is pretty high up there too :) ( also you're videos are great and I love them, keep making more!)
Noki: "My favorite Pokemon is based on my top two favorite types."
Me: "Hah, who would ever do THAT?"
**Fairy and Psychic type shiny Gardevoir staring at me from Pokemon HOME**
I swear i was crying when you didnt catch shiny lucario for fighting type and it was the lowest rank out of the top 3 😭
THANK YOU!!! GHOST TYPE IS SO UNDERRATED!
Ghost type is PEAK!!!
15:37 not even lying, i guessed that right,
the reason i thought you would put ice at the top of the 3 is because of how much you like froslass
and dragon just seems like an overall better type than fighting
Love the videos! Here's my top 5: 5. Steel, 4. Ground, 3. Ice, 2. Dragon, 1. Water
My favorite type is definitely ice I love the design of ice pokemon
Love your content Noki you keep getting better every video! ❤
I've always been very partial to the grass type! Also, love your videos!
Okay fire in decent and dragon in nice feels criminal but other than that, great taste Noki!
Hate waiting for your new videos.. but always with it.. peak tier ❤
I Love your Energy and your endurance in your Videos
Noki: "GHOST TYPES, AWESOME!" Me: *Looks at picture of the shiny Ghastly evolution line*
I love the omori battle music at the start of the video-
As someone who was able to tell the difference from a distance when I got my shiny slowpoke. I think I can tell the difference.
Finally (My fav) Ice type gets some love!!!!
Another upload so soon? We’ve been blessed
Dude you have some determination bro my god it’s so well put together. You are insane and I bet this took a long time thanks for making perfect videos
I swear, one day I’m going to open up RUclips and see a video from Noki saying “How long does it take to catch every Paldean Pokémon shiny?”
Was disagreeing about ghost typing for a second and then I remembered Stow-on-Side's theme and I realized you were right
6:26 Noki just mentioned my 3 favorite Pokémon
Alright, time to pull out MLA format to prove that Ice type is the VERY best.
Ice-Type Pokémon: The Power of Freezing Statistics
Pokémon is a popular franchise that features various types of creatures with unique strengths and weaknesses.
Fairy is of course my favourite, i think bug type is SO underrated however, i love those little guys.
7:56 weirdly I saw a slowpoke on its own and knew immediately it was a shiny, I have no idea how or why but I just knew and I got her!
I’ve always liked fighting type Pokémon. I liked them becuase whenever you add fighting type to anything just becomes cooler like fighting fire or fighting water. Urshifu and infernape are awesome
ngl fire and fighting got dine dirty af here
My favorite type is Water, with Electric and Ground being other top tier types for me.
I’d rank Normal higher, though, since Rocks have a bad history of not getting a widely accessible good accuracy strong BP move, and Normals have plenty of options as well as diversity in movepools.
love the runescape music in the background
YOU GOT THAT GARNARVORE SO QUICKLY IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THAT SHINY FOR SO LONG
