in the prequel novel bruce found this car when he was about 16-17 and ever since he found it he's been modifying it to be the fastest car he can build.
The Tumbler suited the Dark Knight Trilogy Batman and world, and the same for this. For me for the first time the 89 Batmobile finally has some serious compition for my favourite live action Batmobile. The design, the sound (oh my god, the sound) of this beast is just 👌🏻Great movie, i can honestly say The Batman is my favourite Batman movie yet. This IS Batman.

I like the crude aesthetic of this batman gear, batmobile and bike, the only thing that really looked hightech was the lenses ( which I really wanted to be Just a hidden camera on his helmet)

Everything about this scene - the build-up with the shrill music and shootout, Penguin stalking out the mains like an uzi-wielding madman, to the banshee scream of the jet engine firing up so loud it immediately catches everybody's attention, putting the fear of God in anyone within a half mile radius, audience included. A short film in itself. Enough to have brought me back to the theater five times (and counting).
Ran through the specs in case anyones wondering…not much is known about it, but it’s said to be a Supercharged Chevy engine, a V8 twin turbo that peaks at 700hp

Well the movie prop car has a 650+hp V8 but according to the prequel novel the Car is powered by a V8 engine in the front and a Twin Turbo V10 in the back. So twin engined AWD monster.
I was thinking the same glad I wasn’t the only one. it definitely was a character of it’s own like Batman’s sidekick I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that from any movie I was literally in my seat in shock jaw open goosebumps full of joy because I’ve never experienced nothing like that. 😎

Saw The Batman movie last night and it is w/o a doubt the best batman movie EVER! But when the scene of his car starting up was shown THIS 61 year old man screamed to the "top of his lungs" OMG!!!! The sound & look was soooo incredibly exhilarating it made me feel like I just got off the world's greatest roller coaster! Goose bumps & teary-😂 was I and very appreciative of this latest rendention if the batmobile...
This really makes you appreciate the art of sound design and sound effects. Making a quality film like this one isn't just about acting or the visual cinematography or the score. It's the combination of all these elements that determines a true masterpiece.
I saw this movie again in Dolby Cinema at a local AMC. The entire theater, chairs, our drinks, everything was shaking when that V8 roared. I literally stopped breathing just to take it all in. I have never wanted a Batmobile so much in my life until I witnessed that monster in action.
Oh gods, the sound it made starting up, the sight of the lights in the darkness, the flames shooting from its many exhausts. That car was as angry and vengeance filled as its driver and I loved it!
The fact that they were able to find a legitimate street car and modify it to look like the coolest bat concept ever. Kudos to James Chinlund for creating this beast.

The church car crash had insane sound also. Usually in similar scene in other movies a vehicle just randomly appears and crashes inside. I loved how in this movie you hear the car coming and people screaming and you totally felt that everyone was panicking and had no idea what’s happening and see the fear in their eyes. I literally felt like I was in the church experiencing everything.
The first time watching The Batman when I heard that sound, I thought it was like a bomb about to go off and then when we realized what it was and heard that "BOOM" of the engines firing up....oh man, the whole place went bonkers! Best scene ever! Goosebumps all over again!

As a purist who grew up reading detective, I hated the Tumbler, I appreciated the Affleck mobile for its sleekness.. but this… this is a whole other beast. While not exactly perfection in terms of design like Burtons, this fits the character so well. A Batmobile that’s sounds as unhinged, dangerous, terrifying and explosive as the Bat behind the wheel. Tonally, it’s perfection.

Honestly if you were committing dirty deeds in the streets, and you want to get in your getaway car, and you hear what sounded like the screams of the damned with very heavily reinforced engines sounds, and you look over into a shadowy alleyway where it's coming from, and all you see is sparking and refracting lights and then you just hear an explosion of the propulsion system, I'm pretty sure you would shit your pants.
Watching the gunfight happen knowing the batmobile would come out just not exactly when then hearing that high pitched shriek of the engine turning on with everyone turning around to look at it. Ugh its so good!

Honestly if you were committing dirty deeds in the streets, and you want to get in your getaway car, and you hear what sounded like the screams of the damned with very heavily reinforced engines sounds, and you look over into a shadowy alleyway where it's coming from, and all you see is sparking and refracting lights and then you just hear an explosion of the propulsion system, I'm pretty sure you would shit your pants.
