- Welcome to the Perspective Design RUclips Channel. We are excited to share with you an easy diy farmhouse door and window trim installation you can add to your home. This is a very simply and inexpensive way to add character and some of that vintage charm to your home. All while staying on budget. I really appreciate you sharing the design of the door and the trim. The step-by-step is how we learn to "do" the work. Other channels like to zip through the process and say, "voila-- here's the final product!" You may not know this, but you have teaching methodologies that can help the rest of us understand what needs to be done. Btw . . . your draft of the door and trim was great!

I'm thinking of doing the same but white - gonna paint first before to save some time... Just gonna fill the nail holes with caulk, sand and touch up.. Thanks for the idea guys!

This looks awesome, and we are preparing for almost the same trim project for our living room and hallway. Quick question, what type of wood did you use?
So how does the bottom look where it meets your baseboards? It seems like 1 x's would be a little thick for baseboards??? I might be wrong. I'm excited for the next weeks video though. You guys are close to home! :)
