The window casing gave that extra pop as Mr. Engineer said, I would never move from the house, by the time you guys finish fixing the house it would be worth millions. 👍👍🤜🤛

Great job. Only advice I’d give is to use spackle rather then caulk to fill nail holes. Caulk shrinks so that’s why you can see every hole that was filled. Spackle will fill it and just sand a little and paint over it.
They look so good and great job placing the rod above the trim. I always think that is the best way to show them off.

So did the sides of your windows inside left, right and top have only sheet rock? My windows have sheet rock and thinking I might have to go back and use mdf in those areas as well.

It looks good, but could look great by increasing the width of the side casing. Yours are too thin causing it to look top-heavy. Increase side casing to 3.5” (if space allows, such as near corners), so that the outer edges of the sides align with the outer edges of the upper frieze board. The only parts that should be wider are the crosshead strip, any crown (if used), and the top cap. These pieces should likewise match the width or overhang of the window sill.
This will make it look fabulous! Keep it up!
You can definitely make those changes to suit your personal style. We love the way ours turned out though! 😊

Nice. My landlord replaced a couple windows and did not caulk like you show doing, my daughter had ants coming in. 🙄 he says hd caulked under. So annoying.

So it seems you didn’t remove the drywall surrounding to window. You just removed the sill and trim. Correct?

Good video. I wouldn’t have used liquid nails unless you plan on never taking it down. It just destroys your dry wall if you should pull it off

Trim in homes is of course a matter of taste. If you don’t wish to add, it’s definitely not necessary. We prefer the nice trim. Thanks for watching! 😁
