      @@aresgil mine is msi gf63 thin 9sc, bought it in the end of last year, great for work/school and gaming in the meantime, mine came with the 9th gen i5-9300h processor (now should be 10th gen) with 4gb of ram and 512gb of storage hdd+ssd ,GTX GeForce 1650 graphics card ,great experience during these days, but you would rlly need to clean the exterior as it gets marks pretty easily, you know, that kind of high class material xd, and it looks pretty good as well, it costs 888 usd and in my currency (Malaysia) is RM3699,which is a great bargain! The cooling fan is really really loud if you turn it to cooler boost, like you will think that it's raining out there xd. You could also set a cooling plan using the dragon center, where we control the cooling system and rgbs, nahimic and etc... You can switch to them easily. Should probably try it if you're a budget gamer, Acer nitro 5, the cooling system, maybe not so great I think...

    msi's are mass produce and undoubtedly they have faulty ones. the comment section is a clear case of that. I've owned all sorts of brands and not one of them has a perfect track record. MSI is not perfect but they still make good products. hopefully as they grow the typical issues they have will be sorted out. I've owned two msi gaming laptops and so far my worst problem was the bezel start to come apart a little. out of all the brands I've had my aleinware was the toughest though.

      Yes but I have to say that even though Alienware make tough and legit laptops, they are still slightly overpriced and even though MSI is not THAT tough, if you compare the prices, MSI is still the better buy, whether or not you are on a budget or something else.

    Avoid MSI laptops until they redesign their faulty hinges. They claim it's a permanent fix after a warranty repair job but why not back that up with an extended 2 years warranty just for the hinge repair if that's true? Look up "msi laptop broken hinge" and read the forums.

    • @lets_see_777
      @lets_see_777 6 лет назад +9

      every laptop has problems----acer, HP, Lenovo etc-----you can search any problem and find that even the costliest Alienwares have problems

    • @mingy4730
      @mingy4730 6 лет назад +4

      It took me 9 months of research before buying MSI GT series because like you said every laptop has problems. Let me rephrase that, everything we buy these days has problems. I'm leaning towards really bad quality control? This is why I research everything before I buy and make sure it's got good after sales support. Ok I lied, I bought some chewing gum before going out the other night and I didn't research anything about it.... and my bad for missing their faulty hinge problem during my research period since it was already an existing bad design fault. Bugger!
      Put more support around the hinge MSI. Seems like a simple fix... Checkout this guy's solution. Don't forget to read the comments.
      ruclips.net/video/kj7IbsAsho0/видео.html
      I waited 4 months for Alienware to sort out their heating issues but they didn't so ended up buying my 2nd choice, MSI. Alienware was not the most expensive by the way.
      I researched "Brand", "model", "problems". Then read, read, read. Go hangout at the forum sites every night soaking up information, asking questions then validating info.
      I don't want to get into too much detail but it's been over 3 months since my hinge broke and I sent my laptop in. The courier now knows me at a personal level cracking jokes about MSI and their incompetent repairs dept because he's picked up and dropped off my laptop 6 times or more?
      Every time it came back it had something else wrong with it and the quality of the repairs was shocking. I kept cool until it came back and my screen was just white and they tried to tell me they didn't touch the LCD panel even though I'm pretty sure it's screwed on to the LID which they replaced twice. Lots of other stuff ups I have proof of that was very unprofessional.
      If they redesigned their faulty hinges when it was first discovered, I wouldn't be going through this ordeal. MSI says only 0.5% of their laptops have the hinge issues. Then why won't they agree to an extended 2 years warranty on a hinge repairs job? Just for if the hinge stuffs up again.

    • @lets_see_777
      @lets_see_777 6 лет назад +2

      actually after your comment I searched and yes there are many issues with MSI even heating and cooling system is average----About hinges, my sister's HP laptop hinges were broken and it quite costly for such minor problem----then the repairing centre fucked up its wifi connection----had to buy external wifi adaptor otherwise it would cost even more----point is the reparing centers are worst everywhere even HP or others----I think you can get it repaired at some local shop which are cheap and sit with them there because it wont take much time, they are more trustworthy than actual authentic centres

      I have an MSI GT72 laptop since 2016. I use it for everything (I code on it, do image processing, watch video, play games, listed to music) and I travel a lot with it. No issues at all, temperatures stays in check even after heavy use and the battery still lasts 5 hours of internet browsing (I know it's not a lot of time but considering the fact that it has an i7 6700HQ and a 970M it's not that bad). This is my first MSI laptop but so far it's doing great and I'm positively surprised.

    • @mingy4730

      I forgot about this post. I hope you didn't buy your MSI from Australia. I was soooo happy with my MSI Laptop when I first got it. Until on the 5th of March 2018, after 15months of daily use, I had my 1st issue with this known hinge issue, which I only read about after it happened to my unit. After chatting to MSI repairs Dept, I thought 2 weeks at the most without my daily tool but it ended up going back and forward 6 times or more. It's now end of July and I'm still without my daily laptop.
      1st time it came back, there were 3 groups of scratches on top lid.
      2nd time the bezel was coming apart from the LCD and I could see the glue streaks in between the gaps. The bottom section of the laptop was now coming apart as well.
      3rd time? the LCD was just white when turned on. (2nd and 3rd time might have some details left out. I'm in the process of sorting through all my emails.)
      I demanded to talk to someone in charge. A person claiming to be the “service manager” of MSI Australia's repair's Department said “This is Leo from MSI AUS, I’m service manager, regarding to your case, sorry for all the inconvenience
      I will arrange internal review on warehouse and repair team, we must improve our service quality.
      Can we bring it back this laptop, we will replace with all new cover and LCD screen to make sure everything 100%,
      Also MSI AUS will provide extra half year warranty and free Gaming mouse as compensation.”
      Wow… a Gaming mouse. I asked if it was the $29 unit but got no reply back.
      Anyhow, I didn’t accept and many emails later we agreed on a replacement.
      After month and weeks later I received my replacement.
      To my surprise the replacement was also faulty. My head's hurting so bad. Really stressed out now. This whole ordeal started because they didn't do a simple check over of the repaired item before sending it back to me. I emailed and told him it happened again and told him the LCD bezel was coming apart on a brand new laptop amongst other little things. He replied back "I’m not QC person, so I can’t control this."
      I replied back this could have been avoided if you just checked over the laptop after your dept finished or during the “burning test” you told me they were going to perform before sending it out to me. He replied back "However, I can’t control factory. I ordered GT73VR from factory, then I passed to technician to do burning test, they told me all tests were passed,
      After that, laptop was shipped to you. We have many department, I can’t go to warehouse to check each stock."
      Claims he’s in charge but doesn’t take any responsibility of what he’s in charge of. Just blame everyone else…
      I paid top dollars for a reason and this is what I get? I’ve bought many MSI products but this will be my last.
      Now it's become a refund process which I'm still waiting for. I've heard from the forums the German repairs department are very knowledgeable and very efficient so I know if the right people from MSI know about this type of situations, Australian Department can be up there as well.
      I’ve saved all the photos, videos and emails regarding this issue so I can share my MSI experience with others. Is there someone above this “Service Manager” I can pass what I have collected so MSI hopefully replaces this Service Manager with someone more competent?
      So many other random unprofessional things they did I've left out...

      True. I wish that companies weren't that greedy. There are a lot of businesses around the world who pay decent wages and earn enough to further their further development and sales. These notebooks cost a fraction of what they are sold for even when you include all the design and research invested.

      actually more than that, probably 700-1000 take home, with accommodation and food all provided by the factory. Chinese labor is getting really expensive, that's why a lot of the low end stuff are moving out of china. 5 - 10 years ago all the underwears would show made in china, but now it's rare to see made in china for clothing unless it's more upper scale ones.

      But My Laptop Also, Works So Great, but in the Next 5-10 Years, It Will be Obsolete for Running New Games, Because the Recommended Requirements for AAA Games have Increased to Either 32/64GB of RAM, Geforce RTX 6070 (It Will be Released in Year 2026) or Geforce RTX 7060 (It Will be Released in Year 2028), or Geforce RTX 8050 (It Will be Released in Year 2030), Intel Core i7 18700K (It Will be Released in Year 2027), or Intel Core i5 19400/19500 (It Will be Released in Year 2028), or Intel Core i3 20300 (It Will be Released in Year 2029), and This Recommended Requirements of Game is So High that We Need Cloud Gaming to Play it.

    Should of asked them why is so hard to replace anything inside the laptops. I mean no panels or doors to open you have to take off the entire back cover.

    Watching this video on my gt73vr 7rf titan pro, still going strong after almost 2 years. almost just upgraded the graphics card and processor in my old desktop pc, but due to the crypocurrency mining bullcrap it made buying a gaming laptop a much better value. I don't regret it, haven't had one issue with it yet. It used to have wifi/bluetooth problems but that problem was fixed with an eventual windows 10 update

    Not sure if the super CPU and GPU can be integrated in such a slim design. The CPU temp surged to 90 Celsius easily when updating windows and nvidia drivers. It was a new PC just opened! Can’t imagine what would happen when a game is running. This won’t last long if you push CPU at limit temp ALL THE TIME

    3 MSI high end laptops (each one over $2k USD) I've owned and each one I have had to re-paste the CPU and GPU. 2 of them also needed a new battery before a full year of use. Needless to say I don't buy MSI laptops anymore.

      Yeah ass wipe cause I'm just makin that shit up. I guess maybe I wasn't curious as to see the factory where they assemble these products. I'm not alone with the type of problems I faced with this company. Stupid fuck.

      You don't know shit. Trying to dox someone only proves what a pathetic looser you are. Seems like you can't take what you dish out. You want to threaten me again? Easy to act like a bad ass on a computer. If you actualy knew who I was you would never even consider it.

      Last time I checked the GT70 and GS70 Stealth were considered "real gaming" Laptops-and yes they both cost over 2k each. You sound very young and immature, very typical of this millennial snowflake generation. Your talking to a grown ass man and Paratrooper who served this country and I have no problem coming across you "in the real". You should go away and crawl under the rock that you came from while your ahead. I have already forwarded your information to my clients in the Federal Government. You should think twice before threatening cyber crimes on public forums. Have a nice day.

      His mom might have a mobility scooter, but she's still doable. Not to mention, I don't remember CoD having any paratroopers, but I guess if he counts that as a qualification, I'm a skilled sniper. :/

    • @grahamb7947
      @grahamb7947 6 лет назад

      every company in the US has shitty warranty. Because they can. US law only requires a 1 year warranty from the date of production, rather than the 2 years since the date of purchase that you see in Europe.
      Basically, in America, you can buy a laptop that was produced a year ago to the date, and instantly receive the middle finger when it has a problem on it's first boot, because the warranty has expired before you even bought it. Don't blame the manufacturer solely. Blame the FCC and other consumer regulatory bodies within the US that don't give a shit about consumers, as long as they're being paid their cuts from taxes etc. Blame the corrupt politicians who always receive sponsorships/campaign donations from tech giants to keep the warranty requirements useless and anti-consumer.

    My friend has one, GPU fan failed. It's covered by heatpipes so a fully disessembly and repaste is required to swap the fan. This also needs to happen if you want to clean the area between the fans output and heatsinks. It's a crap internal design, with shit fan bearings.
