Also yeah GTS 450 it's like 9800 GTX but double the performance
Yeah, I had gts 450 until the end of 2020, and old crysis (not remastered one) actually ran on highest settings... So those on video are probably knockoffs from old 450s that were not good enougj
@@Pieroozeg I bought one of these (black and green one)and got to keep the card and got my money back. They just have a shitty bios and when you flash the bios back to a 450 they work fine. I would have used the one I have it had an external 8/6 pin power plug but 100w pulled through the pcie slot isn't a good idea imo. ( btw. you need to use a the gts450 512mb bios or modded gts450 1gb bios another youtuber has a vid on this that has the modded bios on the video description). Also the chyneese dudes that are making these are locking the bios so it has to be done with an external CH341 USB bios flasher after that you can flash the bios all you want with nv flash

Love the wish ad before this video 👌
This video in a nutshell: you shouldn't buy stuff on Wish.
An additional problem occurs in the secondary market where people will sell these cards on FB Marketplace, Ebay, OfferUp, etc. once they realize they've been had. I saw a guy on the Facebook Marketplace last week selling a "1060" for $40, and just by looking at it you could tell that it had an older GTS 8600 style cooler on it, so it was blatantly obviously a fake card.
i can't even imagine why anyone would buy a graphics card on wish, spend 60 bucks, expect 600$ performance?
Should be obvious it's all just a scam. First time I seen stuff being sold there it was obvious (Things that retail for like $1000 being sold for less than $100). People I know bought stuff from there and its the most "expensive" junk you can buy lol.
Justin Kashtock when i first heard of wish.com and checked it out i couldnt believe anyone actually bought stuff from there.
It was IMMEDIATELY clear to me that the majority of stuff was straight up fake/scam
@@baqcasanke I mean for cheap clothes, window curtains or random decorations it's a fine shop. Just don't expect high quality. There are ways to get useful things there, just have to know what to avoid. e. x. tech

The reason why the gpus aren't working right is because when your installing the drivers from the internet, it installs the drivers for the 1050ti not for the gtx 470 or whatever it is, so you have to use the drivers that are included on a cd and that's right no driver updates
Linus, you're the man. The first person to call Wish out on the bullshit they are anywhere to my knowledge. Respect!
These cards are popping up on Amazon now. In about one minute of searching I found about a dozen fake card listings.
Wish sellers updating their listings with "IT CAN RUN CRYSIS"

" In 2013, Elpida was acquired by Micron Technology." This should also be harvested chips from old GPUs that are no longer being manufactured.
Did micron bother changing the chip masking ?
@@MessalineApghar The Elpida branding continued on for a little while. It was common on R9 200 series cards, and markedly inferior to cards with Hynix or Samsung memory in terms of potential overclocks. On the Nvidia side, even some GTX 900 series cards had Elpida memory. It had been replaced by Micron by the time the GTX 1000 series rolled around in 2016 though.
Elpida was a defunct Japanese DRAM and NAND manufacturer that was a joint venture between NEC and Hitachi. It was sold to Micron in 2013. So even the VRAM chips are salvaged...
i think these are "third shifters" where real cards are made during work hours, then the ripoffs are made under the table.

18:20 that face of frustration is relatable
Man, 2020 definitely IS the Crysis year.
I ordered an authentic Nvideo 2090 TI from Wish. When I took it apart I was amazed to find a molex connector plugged into a Potato. Amazingly it was able to run Crysis at 8k at 24FPS. There was as much thermal paste as you would expect in a baked potato with sour cream. Which is about the amount of thermal you SHOULD expect in a PROPER build.

the 750 Ti is actually decent for gaming, you ain't getting big fat numbers, but you can play a wide variety of games on medium/high settings

If you got them shortly after release they were a pretty good buy honestly. The fact that it can still actually run games is impressive IMO. That's 6 years of use.
Still, if you save up $150-$160 you could more than double, or even quadruple, the performance depending on the game.
