MyFord Touch Audio Portion not working

- This is my MyFord Touch with Sync not responding to any inputs on my truck for audio. All other features work as far as AC, Navigation and my phone (even though I didn't have it connected after the Master Reset) work. I created this video in hopes Ford sees it and also for my dealer to see the problems in case it doesn't do this for them while getting warranty work.

The Community Fix:
Currently known to work on 2012-2019 Superduty Trucks.
- Removed fuse 29 (Sync fuse)
under the passenger seat area (possibly the right foot kick panel)
- Turn key to on (don't start vehicle) turn key back to off
- Finally put the fuse back in. Started your vehicle and all should be working again.
UPDATE 11-May-2015: Issue was resolved, the technician had to do a sync Master Reset. This involved the technician having to hook his computer up to the truck to do the rest. This fix my lost sound issue. All functions work again.

Hey all... I have a 2013 F-350 and my volume/audio stopped working yesterday. Exactly like the video you posted... I pulled the sync fuse (#29) and inserted it back in and TaTaTaDaaas!! It WORKS like normal again!! I just want to THANK YA’LL for the advice... y’all saved my Ass a great deal of money and headache!! God Bless Ya’ll!! Thank you!!

What is the fuse 29?
This has saved me!!!! The Entertainment System in my 2015 Focus Titanium read "Unavailable" and nothing could work until I saw this Fuse stuff! Passenger Kick Fuse Compartment (#79 - 15A; - count two from right, then move to the third fuse up). I simply took out the fuse and felt it looked burnt. replaced it with another 15A fuse, kicked my engine on and Voila!!!!!!
My wife has a 2014 Escape. It’s in the shop for everything including minor stuff like seatbelt issues in addition to major issues! Thank God I bought the extended warranty. I’m glad my vehicle is a Honda. Nothing but oil changes and tire rotations just like my previous Tundra! Bulletproof!

The same thing just happened on my 2013 F350. Pulled fuse 29 from right lower kick panel pd box for 15 seconds as mentioned in previous comments and fixed it 👍
100% you need the radio module acm. From similar year. Will work plug and play. Just fixed mine. Hope this helps people. Beware some acm radio have one audio ic chip. All will Work but not same quality audio. Try get exact model as yours.
Been driving around with headphones for about 2 weeks, was just planning on swinging it by dealership on Monday.. I came across these comments pulled fuse 29 & I'm back in bussiness!!

2013 F250 Super Duty .... I removed fuse 29 (Sync fuse) under in passenger seat area. Started the truck then reinstalled and started again. Sync rebooted and all works great. 😎

Mine did this exact same thing this week! After messing with it a while I called a dealer service department, got out of him to pull the "sync display" fuse. On my truck, I think it was #29, fuse block by the passenger kick panel. I pulled it, turned the key on, and the display obviously didn't come on, turned the key off, put the fuse back in, turned the key on, and it went threw the boot up, and the volume worked!

Thanks for the comment. My 2013 did the same. I pulled the fuse, cycled the ignition and it came back. Thanks for sharing, it probably saved me some money.

2013 f350 Tried master reset Sync but did not work. Pulling fuse fixed issue.
My 13 ford f250 just did this to me. I followed one of the comments here and it worked! Pulled fuse 29 in the passenger side kick panel. Cycled the key and reinstalled the fuse. Thanks!

okay wait i have a 2014 Ford fusion with push start so all i have to do is remove the radio fuse turn the car on then off again then put it back?
I have that problem on 2013 C-MAX. Pulling out fuse doesn't help

Same here. . It was the battery. It would hesitate to start so I ended up changing the battery and cleaned up the termials.
I guess it saves up the juice for emergencys...i guess?.......

Ok I sure will mines been acting up for about a month I just haven't had time to fix it.
My 2015 ford edge radio all of a sudden sounds like it wasn't getting a good signal/reception. Although I would hear a little bit of music or talking in some station but they are overpowered by annoying static noise. I called the dealership to see if perhaps they could give me some helpful tips assuming that the issue isn't that serious, but he said he doesn't have an idea of what could be the problem. But did asked me if I wanted to schedule it for diagnostic test which will cost $129 just for the test not including how much would it be to fix when problem is found. It's a shame that you'll have to spend that much more money just for a radio that you paid a lot of money for to begin with and the (radio/car) is only 4 years old and in my opinion should really have nothing going wrong with it just yet! Is anyone here experiencing the same issue with yours, and if so were you able to resolve the problem? Please let me know. Thanks!

Happened after I changed my batteries. Pulled fuse 29 for ten seconds and worked perfect even retained my settings.

Hello i have the same problem in my ford f-350 2013 i do the master reset and take the fuse 29 out and the volume still no work.
Do you cycle the ignition key on then off after you get fuse 29 out? Cycle the key on and off then when the truck is off put fuse 29 back in, then try to see of the radio volume works.
I did this but my radio still doesn't work 🥺
Hah, i got the same problem this morning, but after a master reset of SYNC it was fixed.
I have a 2014 Taurus SEL. The problem I'm having is no audio sound regardless of what function I select. I fear it may be a faulty ACM.
I have may be the same issue as the center console does not working (AC and radio) I have the same car. Did u fix ur car issue ? Please update me ASAP
@@ahmedbawaneh467 I have not had the issue resolved yet. My infotainment and climate control systems work with the exception of no audio and radio control being nonresponsive.
Darryl Spates, thanks for update. I checked my car with Ford Agency and they told me the issue in the FCIM (Front Control Interface Module) unit, the plastic part on the center console.
Same issue here with a 2014 ford Taurus sel everything works but the radio and can't get it out of the Serius mode and won't switch from am to fm

ramu guduri try finding a fuse in your owner's manual labeled "Sync Display".
1) Pull that Fuse
2) Then turn Key to "on" position and not start
3) Turn Key Off
4) put fuse back in
5) Tuen vehicle back on. Let it go through boot up and at least with my truck, everything started working again.

My dealership just placed an order for me for a new ACM. They stated that was the issue for my unit. It went bad

This is exactly what,mine is doing on my 2013 ford explorer, except when I hit the entertainment "button" I don't even get the option of other buttons, meaning it does nothing, does my even change screens

@@danielgonzales1652 I tried a few different things that I found but honestly none of them worked. It eventually just went back to normal on its own. Its been about a year and it hasn't happened again thankfully!
It's a condensation issue within the electrical components of the computer something that was overlooked levels of condensation in buildup of that conversation at least good capacitors were used this will prevent it from permanently blowing out you just going to have to wait for it to dry out imagine this pushing a button on the system and holding it in that's what the system sees
Is there anything you can do to prevent this problem? Also, what can I do if the problem is already happening? (This is my case)
2015 F150, I have this same issue. Did every fix I could find to get it working again. Fuse didn't work. Soft reset didn't work. Hard reset didn't work. I even checked the various modules with forscan and everything checked out. Finally broke down and took it to the dealership and they said it is a faulty ACM (Audio Control Module). Est repair cost is $1300. Way expensive! I have no choice though. I drive 20-30k per year and I need radio and sync functional. I will update if that fixes the problem.
I have been sent numerous letters in the mail that my sync system is covered under extended warranty because of issues with it. Should check in to that to see if it can be replaced under warranty
I don't have an extended warranty. I guess that would have been a good idea to get one. I will ask the service guy, but I'm sure he won't be any help.
No this is something Ford/Sync sent to me because of the issues they have had with the system. I assumed everyone got it. I think it is until 2020, but not 100%
I finally pulled one of the battery cables, waited a minute, then reconnected. It worked.
I have to say one thing! The dash around the center stack including the A/C vents look so much nicer and more refined than my 2018 F-150 XLT Sport. But your Sync is slow in comparison to 2017 -2018.
Mines is doing so now, started as a crackling noise and now just doesn’t work unless I get lucky every now and then , Ford wants $1500
Upgrade to the Sync 3. There are two company out there offer a direct replacement kit to go from MyFord Touch to Sync 3. I had this in my truck for 2 years before I traded it in. Never had issues with loss of audio after I went to Sync 3

Horacio Rodriguez it was covered under warranty. I have read somewhere S that they have extended coverage on these units because of the issues. Call your dealership and see what they tell you.
.ine does this shit too. Aggravation & struggle is real. Leave the sledge hammer in toolbox and take it to dealer. Bring Vaseline and rental

I know that this is an old Video but I have a 2017 Ford escape that I purchased brand new and the car isnt a year old yet and it has had this issue SEVERAL times. If so many people are complaining about it Ford needs to get it together because I refuse to pay and have it fixed once the warranty is up. I will NEVER buy a ford again...... 😠😠😠😡😡
'17 f150 with similiar issue. radio works when it wants, hands free desnt, nav doesnt. dealer says $2000 to replace radio module - back to toyota for me.
Check to ensure the amplifier fuse is present and not blown. I just got my wife's out of the shop on Friday and the volume did not work and have been troubleshooting and notice the amplifier fuse was missing, just put one in and the volume is back to working :) 😀
in the case of the posted video above... the entertainment module (on/off, volume, access to radio, phone, voice command, etc) is non-responsive.

This system was poorly designed. Ford has done much better with the sync 3 systems
Drake 2002 I do like the Sync 3. I put that in this truck, but this issue goes further then the sync system. Because even with the Sync 3 I have had one lock up with it already. I'm no engineer so I don't know what the issue is, but Sync 3 is a more intuitive system.

But why? I put in my comments why I posted the video. That should be a really good reason why I didn't talk. Secondly, this wasn't a tutorial video, never said it in the title. So again, should be a good enough reason not to talk.
