The most impressive part of these movies to me is that Jackie choreographed all of the fight scenes and did every stunt himself. Sometimes he got pretty seriously injured while filming, but they would just use camera tricks to hide his casts and he would keep doing stunts. There was no CGI either. Every scene where he jumps off a building or onto a ship, he really did those stunts.

    • @Choji2011

cool fun fact if i remember the movie right in enter the dragon jackie chan had one of his biggest breaks he was a bad guy that was a extra. bruce lee was known for sometimes getting too into the fight scenes and this scenen was used in the movie because he accidentally hit the shit out of jackie chan in the head with the stick bruce lee felt bad about it and they became friends after that incident and bruce lee was able to help him get into other movies as he quickly became aware of jackie chans ability there is a good interview of jackie chan talking about this incident

This movie was mostly filmed in Vancouver Canada's Downtown Eastside. You can tell because you can see the Northshore Mountains when they are on the Gastown Parkade. Usually, filmmakers try to hide the mountains when Vancouver is playing New York or any big city USA. The Golf Course is the same course that Happy Gilmore was filmed at 2.

Classic movie right here man. I believe this was my first Jackie Chan movie as a kid, great video Devin. Too bad there were scenes cut from the English release. They really help flesh out things more in the story. Keung being pelted with bottles is more brutal. Keung encountered Tony's gang at Elaine's store after Nancy bandaged his wounds and that plays more into their encounter later when she comes out crying. Oh and Elaine (RIP Anita Mui) slaps the hell out of Keung when he's caught smooching with Nancy.

But its also the humour he adds to his films is awesome. Fun fact for you. He was a stuntman on Bruce Lees "enter the dragon". When Jackie jumps onto the hovercraft at 17:27 he actually broke his ankle. You can see the moment it happens around 17:29. Upon landing, his ankle twists to the side and on the making-of dvd they show the uncut video of this scene and Jackie immediately grabs his ankle and is writhing in agony. They had to create a painted spandex cover to go over the cast on his foot to make it look like a shoe so Jackie could continue working on camera. That's dedication.

@@LordVolkov Yeah! I really don’t think any of his movies are bad, they’re all good, at least all the ones I’ve seen and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen most if not all of them.

at 10:10 when he jumps from the car to the balcony of the adjacent building. He did that bare (no support) and with a broken foot.

Also idk if anyone commented this but this movie jackie actually breaks his ankle. But instead of getting a stuntman to do the scenes he made the crew paint his cast as a sneaker so he can do everything still and even do his stunts with s broken ankle.

Awesome movie, yes Jackie Chan always did all his stunts on his own, he always refused to use his stunt men due to his sense of honor from martial arts and being chinese, he even worked on Bruce Lee second movie Fist of Fury as stunt man before becoming an actor.
He has a lot of physical trauma due to his carreer, when filming he held back no punches to achieve the perfect shot.
Is really cool how in his movies he always uses his environment in his favor in his fights, anything can be an weapon.
Movie suggestion: *Lord of War (2005)*

Yes!! We all need to band together to get Devin to watch Lord of War, know he'd love it! I've been suggesting it on every post of his for, like, at least a month now.😁

I had no idea you were a Jackie Chan virgin!!!
Bro....you need to set aside some time.
    Watch...
    Dragons Forever, Drunken Master 2, Armor of God 1 & 2, Police Story 1 & 2, Who Am I, Project A 1 & 2, First Strike and many more.
Did all his own stunts. He's a madman....pure LEGEND / GOAT status bro!!!!
If I was near you, I would watch them all with you!!!! I used to own 50 films of his until my ex screwed me in the divorce.

Unless no one else has mentioned it. Most of the other actors in many Jackie movies are his students.
And he usually breaks something- or many things making a movie.
    Always watch the outtakes. 👍😁😈

If you liked this, you should check out "The Legend of Drunken Master" with Jackie Chan. Some of the best martial arts fight scenes of all time. Also "IP Man" is the story of Bruce Lee's teacher and another classic.
