I appreciate the detail around 37:40 with Rose’s room and her eating the fruit loops and glass of milk separate. It’s the idea of segregation-separating the “colored” fruit loops, from the white milk, but the fact that she STILL eats the fruit loops, is the idea of fetishization, how she has a history of dating and sleeping with black guys, but still brings them back to her parents’ home to take their lives, and has each of their photos as trophies. Eating the fruit loops separately is her indulging in that twisted view. Each picture commemorates, not a once loving relationship, but an insidious conquest over black people’s lives and her fetishizing them. I suppose it’s like the saying goes; every rose has its thorns.

I know people act irritated with y’all eating but I actually like it bc it’s realistic! We all know damn well when we watch a movie at home on the couch we have our beer and burritos.

Amazing that Jordan Peele was in ine of the funniest skit comedy shows ever, Key and Peele! Type in, key and Peele substitute teacher, backhand forehand, flight attendant and ordering pizza! U can tell from his direction, he definitely learned hos lessons from Alfred Hitchcock, John Carpenter, Brian DePalma and Stanley Kubrick!
The sunken place reminds me of the subscious like where anybody can go like in Halloween either Michael was born like that and was evil the whole time or he was a actual person at one time but this evil was inside him in the sunken place and it came up and took over and threw him into the sunken place lol. Yeah possession like in supernatural people be talking about seeing through their eyes but not controlling what they doin lol. Mental illness probably works like this too disappear for a bit but they could be conscious in there but can't do anything lol
Well said. I liken the sunken place to the movie 1408 a Stephen King novel turned horror flick starring John Cusack. Rumination is hell. Having to relive that horrible experience all over again and being helpless to stop it. Its all in your mind! Although not religious by any means, I am well knowledgeable in several and will say that I wonder if some people who are mentally ill are possessed or have an attachment considering that there mental state might leave them open to...other energies. Im just postulating.
FYI: Eye transplants are not a thing.

"Cooley High", high school antics & emotions, black Classic! (Like an earlier generation of the movie "ATL".......5.) "Blacula", The 1st black horror flick of the 70s Blaxploitation Era that really surprises people, because they discover that it's NOT a joke!
