I also show you exactly how to create lookalike audiences for your Facebook ads.
Since the iOS 14 update, Facebook ads lookalike audiences have changed.
A lot of Facebook advertisers have moved away from lookalike audiences because they aren't seeing good results with them anymore.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be using Facebook lookalike audiences...
You just need to create different types of Facebook lookalike audience and use them in a different way.

Would love a video regarding Special Ad Audiences and Credit based companies like housing and car dealership. They are not allowed post October 2022…how would you approach this. We deal with many dealerships with finance offers and this will be a challenge moving forward. @benheath

Thanks got this deep explanation of the lookalike audience setup. I have a quick question:
- I have watched your other video on setting up costum audiences but you said to include all this costume audiences in ONE AD SET ONLY rather then a costum audience per one ad set.
- However here in this video you are mentionning to create a different adset for each lookalike audience.
Could you please clarify on this? And either I need to put costum audience + lookalike audienxe in the same ad set?
It's great that you put this video up Ben because I'm finding many customers are still, like Jay Gatsby, living completely in the past. The good old days are gone and to survive the here and now, they need to adapt.

Hi Ben, I want to trouble you with a question about Audience size and Conversion rate. Do you think Broad audience targeting (50m-100m) with a small relatively budget (100-200 usd/ day) results in a lower conversion rate, at least in the early phase? I’m running a campaign for a product with broad appeal, using broad targeting but I notice the conversion rate is lower than the campaign with interest targeting (1% vs 1.5-2% target interest). Maybe the audience is too broad (thus cold audience) compared to the small budget

LOVE-YOUR-VIDEOS. Thank you! II sell two products with a campaign for each product (since the messaging is quite different and the audience is slightly different (sometimes overlapping tho)). I have one instagram page (and one FB page). Do I use the same LAL in each of my different ad campaigns? Or use it with my product with the larger audience? Something else?

Hi Ben. Thanks again for such great video. Could you talk a bit more about why customer list data lost efficiency after iOS 14.5? I get the pixel dynamic, for meta simply can't track people anymore. But, for instance, all my customers leave their full name, city, email and Whatsapp number. I upload all this info on my customer list. I can't get though how iOS 14.5can damage that.

Oh one more thing Ben, does it matter if i put the locations IN the lookalike set up? or do i add the locations in the Ad set? Does it make a difference? because i selected all countries IN the lookalike setup at 1% (over 250k)

Great information!!! also, if my business changed its retail location to another city, the audience I built in the old area, can I bring it as a lookalike audience to the new location? will Facebook know not to use their location as a variable?

After going through what you said, the lookalike audience isn't appearing on the IG ad page. How do I go about this, bearing in mind both the FB page and IG business accounts are connected?

Love this video. I am in the real estate business, so just want to create a look a like audience for the city I am a realtor in. Looks like the most granular level we can get in the country level, not the city and state level. Is that right or am I doing something wrong?

If I am targetting for app download and it doesn't matter from what country the user downloads the app. Can I use only the LookAlike and that's it? Without specifying the specific country for the targeting. Thanks! Great videos!

If you're building alist as you go through the video ... if you are creating a regional ad, select a higher percent when uploading the list when selecting your country.

You are very welcome. You can go with the Facebook Page custom audience option. From there you can create one of people that have messaged your page. Then create a lookalike from that.

Great Video! One question. When you set up the custom audience for facebook page set to "Accounts Center accounts who engaged with any post or ad", does it start collecting from that day forward or does it include all the people that have interacted with your posts and ads in the past?
Good question - it'll be able to collect data from the past as it is all within platform.

Yes I would recommend that you do :)
I tried to create an audience from my Facebook video views, but it showed that I didn't have any views. I schedule videos with Creator Studio on the Instagram tab and then click the box to share on my Facebook page that's connected to my Instagram page. That way, I only have to upload the video once and it posts on both platforms. So I was able to create an audience from my Instagram video viewers, but not my Facebook video viewers. I would assume these are 2 separate groups of people, so I'm not sure how to find my Facebook video viewers in Ads Manager. Any ideas? Do I have to upload the video twice in Creator Studio (once for Instagram and once for Facebook) in order to see the views for each platform's videos in Ad Manager? That seems like a lot of work and time given my internet is super slow! Thanks for your help! Awesome videos - I'm learning a lot from you!

Hi Ben that's a good content new approach using LLA. I have a question if you already created a 1% lookalike video views location United Kingdom should I put the location in the adset level or its okay yo leave it with no location? since you already set the location of your LLA when you're creating it
You still want to add the country at the ad set level - Facebook will usually make you do so.
Hi Ben. Nice video!! may i ask you a question about 'madid'? What is madid for? can I leave it blank?
What is the thought process on 1% Lookalike for United States, but then you are using that LAA in a targeted area of a city with a 50 mile radius? So if that "City +50mi" has 500,000 people, is your audience now 5,000 people? Or is it that initial 2.7 million, and the 1% doesn't translate over directly mathematically. Maybe for example, of the 2.7 million, 380,000 of the 500,000 live in your "City +50" area.

I'm curious - if an account is set up with all the post-iOS14 pixel information and the site verification, how inaccurate is the data that comes in via the pixel? Is it with all the extra effort to go ahead and do all this set up if it is going to be wildly inaccurate?

No LALs automatically exclude the source audience.
Yes I would have multiple ad formats in one ad set. If video is getting most of the budget that's probably because it's performing best for you.
