GoPro Hero 7: Get Amazing Audio + Testing the Rode Wireless Go

- GoPro Hero 7 is my favorite action camera for so many reasons. It performs well in and out of the water and on the trail. The image quality is awesome, stable and now audio is useable! Say what??? With a few simple tweaks, you can get great sounding audio. Of course, you can add a mic, but it's not always an option.
If I were to add a mic it will probably be the Rode Wireless Go which I tested out while putting this video together.

The Wireless GO sounded great! One recommendation we have would be to clip it on the other way (so only the clip is being shown on camera), that should sit a little better on your shirt!

Well made video AdventureMuse! I'm thinking of getting the Rode Wireless Go for my GoPro Hero 8.. I'm sure if you wore more black it would blend in better.. but it sounds nice to me. The Media mod has a cold shoe to make it not that big of a deal as opposed to the dongle.. my only thing I can't find in any of these videos is someone else also in the video with the wireless go.. like if I'm interviewing someone off the street or if I'm getting my haircut, will they be audible?
Thanks Zack. It depends how close you are together. The mic does a pretty good job picking up other voices, but as you can guess it wouldn't be as loud as yours. I've seen some people turn it into a handheld mic. I have another video with the mic on my helmet and I do pick up other voices.

around 2 minutes other people are talking and you can hear them fairly well.
I also use the audio right out of the GoPro all the time, but if I want to step away, the rode is perfect. Hope that helps.
