My parents took my door down because I slammed it. And so I wasn’t aloud to have a door my whole teenage years. They wouldn’t give it back. And one time my dad kicked down my door because I slammed it and another time my mom stabbed a broom through the door. Apparently I was the crazy one. They then took my money my dead great grandma left me and said it was to replace the door. But I never got to have a door. Well at least I had a door when they decided they didn’t want me anymore, at least that’s what my dad told me and put me into a foster home. But I had to live in a creepy addict where the previous girl had gone missing and was murdered. But anyways love this song brings back memories.

@Sebastián Baeza age definitely brings experience. I write now and again and I’ve noticed a distinct awareness of things being different as I’ve aged. Like at 40 when you realize your closer to retirement age then collate age
I straight-out idolized this chick from age 12-13. I mean idolized. Tried to dress like her, have my hair like hers, etc. This song was on repeat for like a straight year. Michelle played the guitar, accordion, and piano, plus had a sweet soprano voice that could easily develop a grungy quality if she wanted it to (like in this vid)... I agree man. I liked Avril, but her music didn't relate to me all that much. But Michelle's music always felt so relevant to me and things I was going through in my own life. Most of it still hits hard today too.
This is one of the most darkest songs that Michelle Branch has ever made adding that frustration between a relationship with someone that’s doing wrong or family members giving us hell and makes the difficult decision to make sure if they’re happy with whatever is going thru their minds I’ve been thru that. With darkness, rage and sadness of the lyrics and the hard rock influences make this song a timepiece of the early 2000s well done Michelle!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🥰🥰🥰

This great and catchy song by Michelle Branch from May 2003 when I was 9 still is such a masterpiece again to listen to then. And now when I'm 30 going on 31 in a month. Congradulations to Michelle again!
Saw this song on a The Real World Paris vault season from 2003 and immediately I realized that I haven't heard this song since around 2003. Holy crap! It has been 19 full years since those days. I was 15. Time is moving very fast.
As comment number 8, it appears that comments were only made available yesterday so I expect to see them grow considerably especially given the way Michelle is able to pull on those heartstrings the way she does, this piece being no exception.
I still think 90s music is golden Era, but as a 32 year old I can admit that the 2000s were most of our "Coming of age" years, and the music was at its fucnjng peek I swear lol. Classic
Man, this song really takes me back. I still scream the lyrics sometimes. A timeless bad a** song! We don’t know how good we had it!

I went thru some horrendous sh**t , but, I lived thru it. TY!!!
I forgot about this song! I'm having a serious early 2000s withdrawal I'm almost in tears!!!!
Wow! All these years later and i finally understand this is a TF connection song. Wow. Amazed. The tarot cards and everything.
?
This is her best video that she has ever done. We saw a darker, badder side of Michelle and not only that she sing the hell out of this song. Definitely one of the most underrated breakup songs of our time! Awesome job Michelle, you made this song justice and we couldn't be any proud of you!!!!
2025 and she still hits. So underrated and beautiful.❤
Good man.
This masterpiece of a song by Michelle Branch that's my 2nd fave from May 2003 I also remember too is and it always will be such a great throw back song too! Way to go for Michelle Branch!
Miss my childhood at Junior School 2003, when I listen this song in compilation cassette, regards from Sidoarjo, East Java Indonesia
Her songs were in EVERY teen movie soundtrack back in the 2000s, so nostalgic
How is this song 11 years old? I feels like just yesterday I was listening to this in my mum's car when I was 9 while she drove me to school.
honoshikun Same!! ))
Summer of 2003. High school me went on an entire Eastern Canada Road Trip throughout the Maritimes.
Brings me back because THIS song was everywhere. Regardless of which RADIO station faded and appeared (in and out of every region of Eastern Canada) somehow had THIS song on repeat.
To this day, up to now in July 2024, this brings back EVERYTHING of then.
Cheers to all my 2000s teens and 90s kids
This is a powerful song. Love Michelle Branch, such an amazingly talented performer..
A lot of these new girls today are using Michelle's voice but don't know how to create Michelle's music.
I have not heard not one girl nowadays with Michelle's voice
1988scottcarey fefe Dobson
No fefe came out 2003
Shayarahla agree
How utterly ironic of you to say that because she's using Alanis Morissette's voice
So glad I just came across this song again ✨ Michelle Branch is a gem.
Just saw this.her tunes are brilliant
I bought this CD at the Camp North Victory PX (Baghdad, Iraq, OIF2, 2004) for one dollar. One of the best dollars i ever spent. It was 4 CD's for 4 dollars, so cool!
I remember playing this all the time on my Discman. Michelle Branch's music was a staple in my teenage angst years.
One of my favorite songs of all time 😀❤️🎶
As comment number 8, it appears that comments were only made available yesterday so I expect to see them grow considerably especially given the way Michelle is able to pull on those heartstrings the way she does, this piece being no exception.
This is again my 2nd fave Michelle Branch song. Even the beginning of this music video is my favorite and when it comes into the song.
I still think 90s music is golden Era, but as a 32 year old I can admit that the 2000s were most of our "Coming of age" years, and the music was at its fucnjng peek I swear lol. Classic
I LOVE IT!!!!! 2018
Michelle branch is one of the best artists in existence, I hope she will release new music soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Prime 2000s… style, editing, pure good music
great artist didnt care about these songs in highschool now im 30 and like wow
One of the best songs of the 2000s. She really captured Alanis’s angst and did it justice.
