    "Are You Happy Now?"
    Now, don’t just walk away
    Pretending everything’s ok
And you don’t care about me
And I know there’s just no use
When all your lies become your truths and I don’t care... yeah, yeah, yeah
Could you look me in the eye
And tell me that you’re happy now, ohhh, ohhh
Would you tell it to my face or have I been erased,
    Are you happy now?
    Are you happy now?
You took all there was to take,
And left me with an empty plate
And you don’t care about it, yeah.
And I am givin' up this game
I’m leaving you with all the blame cause I don’t care, yeah, yeah yeah,
Could you look me in the eye?
And tell me that you’re happy now, oohh oohhh
Would you tell it to my face or have I been erased,
Are you happy now? Ohhh, ohhhh
    Are you happy now?
Are you happy now? yeah, yeah, yeah.
Do you really have everything you want?
You can't ever give somethin' you ain't got
You can’t run away from yourself
Could you look me in the eye?
and tell me that you're happy now, yeah, yeah
come on, tell it to my face or have i been replaced,
are you happy now? Ohhh, ohhhh
    are you happy now?
Would you look me in the eye?
Could you look me in the eye?
I’ve had all that I can take
    I'm not about to break
Cause I’m happy now, ohhh, ohhh
    Are you happy now?

My parents took my door down because I slammed it. And so I wasn’t aloud to have a door my whole teenage years. They wouldn’t give it back. And one time my dad kicked down my door because I slammed it and another time my mom stabbed a broom through the door. Apparently I was the crazy one. They then took my money my dead great grandma left me and said it was to replace the door. But I never got to have a door. Well at least I had a door when they decided they didn’t want me anymore, at least that’s what my dad told me and put me into a foster home. But I had to live in a creepy addict where the previous girl had gone missing and was murdered. But anyways love this song brings back memories.

I straight-out idolized this chick from age 12-13. I mean idolized. Tried to dress like her, have my hair like hers, etc.
This song was on repeat for like a straight year. Michelle played the guitar, accordion, and piano, plus had a sweet soprano voice that could easily develop a grungy quality if she wanted it to (like in this vid)... And this was in an era where young girls were pretty much restricted to the likes of Britney, Hilary, and Christina in terms of the mainstream pop world. Thanks Michelle for actually being something different for me to look up to at that time.
Nowadays I'm more into heavy metal, but songs like this, which I'd call a heavy pop song, probably got me into said genre.

This is one of the most darkest songs that Michelle Branch has ever made adding that frustration between a relationship with someone that’s doing wrong or family members giving us hell and makes the difficult decision to make sure if they’re happy with whatever is going thru their minds I’ve been thru that. With darkness, rage and sadness of the lyrics and the hard rock influences make this song a timepiece of the early 2000s well done Michelle!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🥰🥰🥰

Damn I think I've finally found the song I've been looking for for almost 2 decades 😮 all that was left of it were these vague memories of a early 00s song with a clip of a girl dancing in or among some ruins, and the color of it all was sort of yellow/orangey.. that's all I had. I've been looking for YEARS.
