At 3:18, if you check the damage and stamina tab, you can see that a chained light is now 15 on berserker (from 12) and a chained heavy is 25 (from 20). That is a really nice buff, since now trading a light with berserkers armored side heavies actually gives a bigger profit, from the original 3/5/8 damage profit.
From what I've seen it looks like conq is going to be worse after the rework, which is a shame I am a conq main and I was hoping nothing much would change. I was expecting a few changes like the GB after a block.

well now people will more likely go for the parry for the 2nd heavy to stop you from going to the unblockable finisher, so i think it gives good mixup potential with the way it seems in the vid
If Berserker's top finisher becomes an unblockable I'm curious about whether parrying it will make him go OOS. Raider and Shugoki's 50+ damage unblockables force exhaustion on parry currently, meaning if its parried the enemy gets a free OOS punish. I kind of hope Berserker doesnt follow this trend and his unblockable being parried wont force exhaustion, much like Kensei currently, as it would definitely promote a more aggressive combat by softening the punishes for attacking (no more of this trying to land a 55 damage attack automatically results in a 96 damage punish bullshit in a mirror-match). Then again I believe were still getting those Parry changes with season 5, so who knows what might happen. If parries just end combos, drain stamina, and are required to stop unblockables then it would make sense to force exhaustion.

Actually for Kensei, what we see in the trailer is the normal Doom of the Kensei (Heavy x3) with a Side uninterruptable as a Chain Finisher. What they added for Kensei in this trailer is the ability to do his soft feint but reversed. We all know Kensei can do a Top Unblockable and soft feint it in to a Side Uninterruptable. The move shown in the trailer is the reverse of that move. Kensei can now do a Side Uninterruptabl and soft feint it in to a Top Unblockable You’re right about 1 thing, He can now do an unblockable from the sides, but when he soft feints into a top heavy, it’ll turn into uninterruptable. Again it’s basically a reverse soft feint with reverse properties, side gets unblockable and top gets uninterruptable

Hate to break it to you, but I don’t think kenseis top heavy finisher is unblockable after the rework. You can see here that when he feints into the top heavy, the orange glow disappears before hitting the target. Plus, if you watch the entire trailer, there a small clip where a kensei helps centurion tank a raider, kensei does the animation of the top unblockable, but no glow, and raider simply blocks it, not parry, but actually blocks. They might leave the stats on the top heavy finisher, but from what I’ve seen, it’s no longer unblockable. If I’m correct, it’s around 3:30 of the trailer video talking about season 5.
Honey Badger The Llama possibly. But this isn’t where kensei lacks. Kensei lacks in opening up players. Fighting someone who turtles up, especially with warden or aramusha, is difficult for kensei. Any attack he throws can be parried, and his helm splitter which can lead directly into top unblockable can be easily partied by someone who fights kensei a lot.
Conq's FBS into GB will be awesome! Hoping they add it so you hold GB for the Shield Bash and the Superior Block into lights will be very fun to pull off some sick combos with!
Correct me if I'm wrong but with the new parry changes lights are much safer so with Zerk and Conq looking like they will have light attacks this should help them be safe to throw out their attacks. If this is true then heroes like Highlander and Kensei will be much better at opening people up with unblockables and light counters. Looks like this might turn out to balance the game pretty nicely.
Yes definently, I think I heard that's one of the changes coming in is parry changes so this is just speculation but based on the heroes they are changing and highlander I think that is the direction headed.
One of the things i'm super happy about is the arena lab, allowing to have direct access to attacks dmg and stamina costs/dmg ! Good improvement in terms of game knowledge, and training. Practice optimal punishes on some very rare occasions looks exciting for example. And regarding Conq's rework : i was wondering if they didn't allign with the other shield heroes in terms of sup. block : maybe the all block stance now gives sup block, like WL and Valk, and gives access to more options. The sup block light is also such a good tool to mind game regarding feint into gb gameplay!
additional thing on zerk i noticed, the side combo Heavy now deals 25 dmg instead of 20, it's still kinda weak for trading and chip purposes, but it's still something better than a pathetic 20 dmg heavy 3:06 for the dmg values

Saint Landwalker yeah actually, I went back to the first frame of the slow Mo clip and I've been smashing Conq lately, that's 100% his full block animation, he's slightly leaned in and his shield isn't in a noticeably left/right/top direction. Definitely a full block move, good spot.

I believe they will keep being able to feint heavys into lights from different sides for zerk, otherwise he will be receiving more of a nerf than a slight buff. Hopefully the faster light will stop those people that have late parry reaction times and manage to catch ur follow up light instead of the heavy

The fact that a shoulder bash gives u the option of canceling it for a potential parry, going for a GB on the dodge, letting it go quickly for double light spam, or charging it makes it extremely bs. Just bear in mind that the parry changes we tested on the PTR may never come about. In fact, those specific changes are very unlikely to come about.

kensei's top unblockable seems to be gone. as later in the trailer he seems to do it from sprinting at a raider and the raider blocks it.

That's not unblockable. He didn't glow during the animation. It's likely that the Raider that was being practiced on had their zone interrupted.
uninteruptible isn't glowing either.
it's probably just because of the UI settings they use when recording that stuff.
