I have played Warhaven, while it is a good time, a For Honor killer it is not.

I think Ubisoft said in the stream that some of the animations guard may look weird, are aware of that and they'll fix it in the future.
Yeah I’d rather weird animations than another year of reflex guard.
Whats funny is that the only guard that looks weird is Orochi's.

They should have kept all assassin's neutral stances in but their guard indicator is static and when you swing at their guard they would move their arms or shield in the correct direction to block.
Would look similar to a parry.
That's what i said when freeze made a video about how reflex guard could possibly be removed 🤷🏻
Very simple solution too
They would still return to that neutral state with no guard at all meaning that one of reflex guards big issues would still be there, just with a small quality of life improvement.
PSA for Shaolin: for some reason shaolins dodge foward heavy was sped up and wasnt mentioned in the patch notes. It is now easier to use as a mixup for the opener bash since many people can react to it.
I gotta be honest, I love shaolins guard becouse when you change it back and forth it looks like hes throwing very agresive gang signs and its hilarious.
I feel like they could’ve just kept the neutral stance animations for the assassins, and just made it so if they block an attack, they move their arms to the side they are guarding to block it and then return to their neutral stance. It’d be more in line with their theme of being quick, with cosmetically having a better reaction time to incoming attacks than other people.
It would especially make sense with characters like Shaolin, as the way he blocks with his wrist guards implies he waits for his opponent to swing their weapon so he can react and move his arm, not focusing on blocking attacks from one direction.

Freeze, What do u think of the new bash changes? As a bp idk how to feel.. do You think bp is objectively worse now for duels with these? Now that his bash isn’t as viable as before think he’d need a rework or something seeing as now his offensive kit is.. well not great. The changes just got announced but I have so many questions about how bp is going to be, just wanted to get your thought on it. If u could include a section in your next video covering the ‘nerfed’ hero’s like warlord/bp it’d be great. Thanks
Sometimes I feel like I'm in an abusive relationship with this game. I saw reflex guard removal and felt fear that it would be a veiled nerf now that I've finally found an assassin I enjoy playing.
lawbringer currently has a bug where he can do 38 damage off of every light parry because followed up chain bash is guaranteed.

i like highlander changes. the little i got to play before i turned back into a wasteland i had a lot of fun.
but for the live changes i do like some of the changes. law might have been the weirdest one imo, the side charge on heavy parry was weird to take off
No that was necessary. As a lb main it was pretty much a automatic choice in most situations and in the few it wasn't you booped cause make way was not broken enough to use.
Now he has make way for HA and HA follow up, boop for speed and finisher pressure. I do think that impale was kinda not touched enough in some ways but it still has niche use so I'm chill.

Law made out really good in some ways, his punishes included since now both the boop and zone fill unique rolls and are not just good from damage. Still potent but less unhealthy
They sadly never adressed the biggest fault in his actual kit wich is a neutral roll catch.... I kinda blame feedback though for that since, we all asked for "a roll catch" and the gb soft feint is "a roll catch". Point to learn from going forward.

I just wanted to ask freeze. What do you think of testing grounds not getting bonus xp at all? I’m kinda annoyed by it sense I’m grinding highlander anyways rn and I’m finding his rework fun but almost no one is playing testing grounds at least on Friday and Saturday. I remembered you saying a while back we should see bonus xp in testing grounds to get more different matchups. Personally I would say my time in testing grounds hasn’t come up with much sense the only thing I’ve noticed I don’t like about the rework is Highlander’s wave dash tech removal. I also have mostly played with other highlanders so my experience in ganks and teamfights is only with them so highlander could feel a lot worse or better in either situation than with other hero’s. For instance I think if I gank with other hero’s I can 100-0 easily vs the HL caber gank which doesn’t kill anymore. I was just thinking sense so little people are playing testing grounds I would bring it up again. Originally I was thinking only give it to the hero/s getting reworks but your video made me think about it in a different aspect. Also so far what has been your experience with the highlander rework? Btw I’m in pretty high mmr lobbies and ran into the “#1 highlander” from king angelous’s videos a few times so we weren’t seeing bad players really fight Highlander’s rework and most attacks were reactable if you knew they could be done. Got caught off guard by dodge forward caber toss
We've seen plenty of medieval war games, but where the FH duel killer- The fighting game feel, but add more depth to characters and balance it around 1v1. Yea I'll still enjoy normal fightin games too but there's so many cool ideas here too- Similar to what Smash Bros did in spawning an archetype, why cant this too?

This is off topic but there is something v3ry wrong with nuxias top deflect. Either the timing is completely different to every other hero with a deflect or its faulty. Its been like this for a while now

I’m just coming back to for honor. Started back up yesterday. And I’m gonna be honest. I can’t tell if players are happy or not about reflex guard being gone lol. Just because of all the ultra heavy satire on both sides of the argument
Zerk's dance is amazing
In happy they adressed such a hugely requesred change with the reflex guard removal, however as a casual player its never bothered me, nor are the assassins underpowered so i don't really see how this is better when its made them look honestly so awful, I miss the neatrul stances already, the animation work is really poor and i woukd honestly 100% rather just keep reflec guard or they do the easy option others have suggested just making the guard animations from neatrul become block animations.

Welp. Guess I'm gonna have to address Nuxia second side heavy and zone animations being clunky from the reflex guard changes before Freeze does lol. On top of it all, one of her zone animations is missing. So yeahhhh, that's a problem..
i hate how the heavy damage for medjay is standardized on all sides, top heavys used to have purpose, baiting out a full block with a zone then doing a top heavy for 32 damage was the only time i used it but now i might as well do a side heavy since im in a team fight

@@Ross-vb8bb It seems it was a bug in a particular game which I was unable to throw a heavy at the end of the chain because of some weird interaction.
I later went to the training grounds and the move is still there. No ideia what caused it.
The only issues I’m having know is assassins are turtling up just to get a deflect, besides that all is well

WHY the heck does MJs top hyper armor chain Heavy finisher get 30dmg but Highlander big booty Blaymore unblockable get Nerfed to 26 dmg??
One is a finisher with nothing but armor, the other is a mix up that can be chained, done from neutral and is guaranteed off a feintable bash+dodge bash.

I just wished they used this patch to also change Orochi's storm rush to not have any hidden indicators and be feintable, or at least allow lower level players to block it on a correct read. I've won too many fights because someone couldn't block the move. Feels cheap as hell to win with, and I bet it feels like shot to loose against. Maybe when we get those bash changes we'll see something.

you can already block it and you can light interrupt. Removing hidden indicators would make it useless, as its pretty much shit anyway at high level. Before you say you were talking about lower level, again they can light interrupt. That is the 50/50 read, they either light to stop it or get hit by the bash
It’s unusable at high level, risky at mid level, and diabolical at very low levels.

Warhaven is so shit compared to For Honor. The gameplay felt so messy, like it was Fortnite with swords. Cannot imagine anybody preferring it to For Honor.
Yes, Ubisoft's game has had many flaws and many recent patch changes were really bad for the game in my opinion (such as the standardisation of side dodge attacks to light parries or to gb punishes after dodging them as bashes), but the game is fucking immortal. Yes it seems that there is always "the same people" playing it but people keep coming back to it.

@@Ross-vb8bb Because it nerfed all of them with a blanket change, nerfing characters that weren't in need of such a nerf. Some may have deserved it, but others really didn't.
Listening to reddit could be a mistake. I'd stay far from it. 2ndly the lb "rework" is just awful. Impale is useless, no openers unless someone can't react to his shove. With the little bug or whatever that came out for a confirm bash after top heavy unblockable after light parry, I'm definitely going to abuse that since it's the only good thing along with the armor on mid chain heavy. 20dmg heavy sucks.

For his parrys now.... tbh heavy parry's feel pretty good, make way has a decent use case now.
Lights however......bug is a bug and while notable it got through I feel like impale should have had a proper overhaul. A more warmonger esc fixed animation with some upfront damage and or at least a ground pin for a genuine use case would have gone a long way.
The opener just never got addressed at all and he has no neutral roll catch for when people try to escape.
That much I have to wonder if we're a bit to blame, we asked for a roll catch, they technically added one to the top heavy finisher, and we never acknowledged the attempt so they probably figured it was just reddit whining and not directed feedback or something dumb like that. Stupid but more specific wording may have at least gotten us that.

Still really hoping for more Orochi nerfs personally. Him and Kyoshin both feel like they can take a full health bar in a half a stamina bar and its really frustrating, and storm rush even i'd like like to see further nerfed at the least. For Kyoshin i'm more so hoping for general stamina nerf and feats, the amount of healing he gets from his default feat is insane.
If anything, both will get buffed soon thanks to the bash testing grounds.
Everyone is gonna do the same damage, assassins will be like everyone else in terms of gaurd and heavies deal the same damage too. Thanks for slowly turning this game into a washed up repeat with the occasionally red blue mix up ubi

Like low key tho, reddit it's not even like there aren't actual critiques to give here, it's kinda mid as a rework but the parrys are like the best thing that happened to it. Ha chain post make way makes it actually worth it in team fights and impales done being default.
Like maybe impale will feel a bit boring without other changes made but like..... no opener...... only a roll catch option at the end of his chain..... having a bugged punish make their whole point invalid...... idk, reddit gives me pain.
Not gonna lie, pretty pointless to play this anymore. Game is full of people using AHK scripts to cheat and it's virtually undetectable client side, so they can't do anything. At least a third of player base is without a doubt using it. Parrying all lights, dodging all kicks, toestabs, unblockables, whatever.
I wouldn't put anymore time into this game. Just facts.

@@vapor_snake920bro it doesn’t matter about the platform I play on PS5 and yes there are cheaters in for honor don’t be so gullible I fought a cheeky lag switcher while I was fighting him I felt like he was feinting faster than usual turns out I watched the entire duel footage to find out this mf was lag switching heavies into lights and vice versa
Yep, they usually use shugoki for his running grab when using the lag switch. Super easy to tell who is/isn't using them. There's nothing to believe or not believe. It's fact; I have seen the scripts and can show proof. Pretty sure there are ways to run the scripts on console too. @@Booty_WarriorGaming
