Hello Sir. I am awaiting my tucktec to arrive, and I ordered the same rod holder as you have here. Once it came in, I can see there is not a lot of clamp surface, I am wondering how sturdy it is once clamped with a rod in. Thank you
Hi! Yes, the holder does quiver and shake when a fish hits my trolling setup but it doesn't pull the holder off. If you are not trolling with the holder, it should stay there, provided you clamp it down firmly. I would also advise using a shorter rod and lighter setup if you want to use this holder.
@@JChanTV_youtube good evening, thank you for your reply and advice. I do have a shorter trout rod, but then realized, the grip of it is shorter below the reel, so I will need to have a look to see if it will fit/support this rod, anyways, thank you again, much appreciated 👍
