The underwater footage is 100% educational for anyone that's wondered what's goin around thier lure. The jig hop was the most intriguing for me, I usually drag it without popping it up. I feel like I actually learned sumthing substantial that I could apply. Thanks
As a commercial diver I spent a ton of time underwater. To reiterate when fish are fired up they truly don't care this story happened numerous times over my bottom time on a specific project. A couple years ago I was working on ky lock and dam extending the previous lock and building a new one. I was underwater as a man that's 6'2 200 lbs directing a crane underwater next to the concrete of the lock wall with a 20,000 lb. Load with all sorts of tools lights bubbles and just plain noise. Multiple times I've seen some shad scream past my face (mind you I could only see about 1ft. In front of my face) and a bass in hot pursuit eating. Like I didn't exist nor did the giant spreader beam with a load attached to it. When they're fired up and want to eat its like they have no choice and just do it. nothing will spook or stop them. In time where I was standing by underwater I would flip rocks find crawdads and hand feed smallmouth it was wild.
You would never be able to see neither can I like i said. I could only see 1 ft... 95% of the time you can't even see your hand on your face. Literally ultimate black darkness.
Wow, amazing!!! People probably don't realize all of the setup, prep, time, and effort that goes into getting this incredible footage. Thank you for creating some of the best non-Discovery channel content ever filmed.
Genuinely, Matt and Tim have changed my perspective on fishing in general. This channel is easily one of the most informative, and the underwater footage really bettered my understanding of how to work different baits, pause time, etc. I do more fishing for steelhead and salmon than anything else, but bass fishing is getting more and more fun for me. Not to mention, the videos aren’t only informative for me, but also super entertaining!
I agree with Vamp 9190. The amount of work that must be involved with getting this kind of footage, and then into getting the video completed is certainly appreciated. Thanks Matt & Tim for your amazing content!
@@kyleadams1215 I think one of the best things I did was using a GoPro underwater and watch bass behavior. Check out Nature of Fishing that guys knowledge is insane.
Both of em are geniuses when it comes to bass fishing, just dont understand why they aren't pro, they even have there own baits through river2sea on tackle warehouse
@Kyle we've got families. Professional tournament angling is an insane time commitment to life on the road. Its stressful, nothing is guaranteed, and you're constantly racing to the next lake. We get to be home most of the time, travel with our families, share the journey with everyone and teach as we go. We like this lifestyle better 👍
@@tacticalbassin I understand that man family first!!! Love yalls videos, you guys should do the fish donkey online tournaments they are fun also all by your phone and your own location!!! Keep the videos coming, just got a big package of the tactical DD cant wait to try em out this weekend
What I found most interesting is the lack of reaction from the other bass while the hooked fish was fighting. I always assumed the struggle tended to spook them away.
That's why it is always important to throw back in there if you whiff. They're still around. bass don't spook nearly as easily as people make it out to be. Always great to have a follow up bait ready as well. Especially with topwater misses. Can't tell you how many times I've missed on a topwater and thrown back immediately with a wacky rig and nailed em.
I was so engaged with the underwater fish reactions that I didn't even see the 15 minutes pass. Anyone else? Amazing footage guys 👏👏👏. Only Tactical Bassin provide us with such a unique content 👍👍👍.
my favorite part about this footage is the sound of the force being exerted during the strike. when the bass smashes that jerkbait you hear an audible thump which is gnarly
good stuff man. im here cuz 2 days ago doing some nice time fishing 5:30-7:30 pm zone when water settled down, became calm, sun starting to set, quieter all around and bass were hitting non stop. what i noticed was as i reeled in one with lure stuck to outside of mouth, i saw 4 other bass follow him in giving chase !!!... all the way to the shore trying to take it from him. i think they wanted the meal/lure too. iv never seen that before. one was large one of bunch maybe 2.5 pds. it was like hungry agressive seagulls in parking lot chasing food people throw out.
Another absolutely marvelous video of underwater actions by bass. It really helps to see the fish reactions to a bait. You are right about getting in the practice of "one more" as I've visually watched fish take one of my lures just as I was about to speed it up for recovery. I've seen bass take for example a spinnerbait 3-5 feet from the boat or shore because I believe I was keeping the speed steady all the way until I had to pull it up. I think sometimes they are so close to us and we just don't know it. Varying speed or a final twitch or two are also good practices with the best rule of thumb being "stay with your cast all the way until you have to pull out the lure." I know I have to be as committed to each and every cast as a bass commits itself when it decides to strike. That's the best way for me to catch more fish. Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication to bringing us these awesome incredible underwater videos (as with all your vids) and your accurate information with them. Take care, stay safe and great fishing to you.
You are definitely the king of bass fishing videos. Love the underwater stuff. I also really appreciate the in-depth videos discussing lures, equipment, when and where based on water conditions, the weather and the season. Keep up the good work.
You think you know how bass watch and attack their prey! But this underwater footage. Really, Shows how bass can be aggressive towards their next meal. The Wopper Plopper has changed my way of fishing. I start with it. Then a square bill and a Chatterbait. Jig's don't even come to mind at all. I will go to a Spinnerbait after the Chatterbait. These four baits. Produced more bass for me last year! Maybe a frog if all else failed. I use Suffix 832 Green moss 30 pound braid with A polamor knot. I don't think I lost two fish all year. Great video of bass hit's. Shawn.
Great video! I love seeing underwater footage of bass bites. I like watching frogs eating too. Just an interesting thing to watch like this lol. Thanks for the great video!

Sometimes but there’s also places and times of the year where you can throw anything at these fish(and people have pretty thrown anything)and get bites.
We got an 11 pounder hopping a jig through a bed last spring. Three hours of working the fish, then my buddy started to hop the bait through, She wasn't having that HOP! Good stuff guys!
Everything all these guys have said. This is amazing. I want to learn how to fish these lures properly. Will be looking for instructional videos on how to actually work these lures couple with the underwater footage. Thanks a trillion!!!!
Love it. Cadence! Matt , Tim...You guys are awesome; incredible content. Pumped up for sure! I geek out over the underwater footage which = fishing knowledge. Thank you.

What I noticed is that they wait until the baits head is facing away from them for a perfect ambush ! Good stuff.
These really help me understand what these lures look like from a fish's perspective. Really helps with understanding.
