I like fishing in boats and on shore. Sharing the joy and things I have learnt.
Fishing:
I fish multi-species in multi-locations (freshwater, saltwater, USA, Canada, Asia) across multiple seasons (open water and ice fishing) via multiple ways (live baiting, luring, shore-fishing, boat-fishing).
Boating:
I am into portable boats. I own two tucktec foldable kayak and I take them to different waters for various adventures. I used to own a Intex 4 inflatable boat, but have since passed it to another angler. I also own a porta bote. I constantly think about boat hacks and tests them out in my videos.

Took the #Tucktec to the #RumRiver and paddled upstream to fish the deep pockets. Wasn't disappointed at all. Caught a 18" smallie that pulled me and my tucktec out from my parked position. Came back for Round 2 and caught a couple more feisty smallies that knew how to fight.

Brought the Tucktec to paddle with my boys on the Kinnickinnic River, Wisconsin! Launched my tucktec in the Mississippi river, used a fishfinder to scope out where the fishes are at. Learned a few things about where fished are held up. They are across from the sandy shore on the opposite side of the river. Trolled the river with a crankbait and had an unexpected catch. Wasn't aware that that species of fish would hit on cranks! Shore Fishing at Lake Louise

While I didn't have any luck trolling lake louise, i learned that the fishes are typically smaller and so a smaller lure is needed. Downsized to a small martin panther lure and began to catch these fishes along the shore. Switched to a bobber and wholly bugger setup and landed trouts from the lake. A sweet lady took a picture of me fishing with the beautiful lake louise as backdrop.

What type of fishing rod and reel do you use? I just ordered a tucktec and would like to get into fishing off of it.
This will be a long conversation, but here are some general things to consider. It really depends on how you fish. If trolling, I would recommend a short rod (less than 6ft), so you can easily reach your rod tip in the constrained space. If casting, a longer rod allows you to cast further. But I wouldn't go longer than a 6'8" rod in a tucktec, given space can be tight. KastKing rods have worked well for me. Affordable rods with great quality.

Is the sharp hook dangerous for inflatable boat? it can easily stuck into the boat and make a hole if you are not very careful.

How’d you line the edges of the kayak?
The lining on the sides are stabilizers. I believe there's a titanium rod underneath. They're sold on Tucktec's website, but they don't come included with the standard kayak.
@@jazzfeline5970I have the stabilizers . I’m talking the thin black on the edges ..looks like electrical tape . Was it stock that way? Mine didn’t have that
@@TRUTHandANSWERS It's a rubber liner. It makes the sides a lot more comfortable to hold onto and prevents scratching/if you rub your arms against the side. I have the most recent 2023 model and it came with the liner attached. I guess older versions don't have it.

Yes it is easier. But in life, it is good to have nice backup plans for unexpected events :) That said, there is still value to keeping things simple.

hi, is that transducer different from the one your get when you buy the garmin fish finder? I didn't know you could set it up that way. I have the transducer that has the suction cup and it doesn't stick for a long time. I keep having to resuction it to the side of the kayak. Suggestions?
I stick it to the inside of my kayak with a type of moldable putty. I should make a video on this since a few of the subs were requesting me to make a tutorial video of my fish finder setup

Hello Sir. I am awaiting my tucktec to arrive, and I ordered the same rod holder as you have here. Once it came in, I can see there is not a lot of clamp surface, I am wondering how sturdy it is once clamped with a rod in. Thank you
Hi! Yes, the holder does quiver and shake when a fish hits my trolling setup but it doesn't pull the holder off. If you are not trolling with the holder, it should stay there, provided you clamp it down firmly. I would also advise using a shorter rod and lighter setup if you want to use this holder.
Trout love night crawlers if you're ever fishing in the mountains again. Im very much a novice fisherman but i was able to land 6 rainbow trout with nightcrawlers and a weighted bobber, bought all kinds of trout baits including some wooly boogers but all they wanted was worms 🪱 🤷
Good to know! Thanks for sharing the tip. Some lakes don't allow the use of live bait but others do. Will bring crawlers to places where that's allowed
There is a bait ban in all Canadian National parks. The ban has been in place for more than 30 years.
