I've tested out some of the most hyped fragrances of the moment and in this video I'll be sharing my thoughts on each scent and whether they are full bottle worthy fragrances. At the end of the video I'll let you know which one of these fragrances I immediately needed to have after wearing through the sample :)

I love Etiket! I go every time I’m visiting my husband’s family in Montreal. Thanks for your insights on Guidance. Very helpful! Also, Psychedelic Love is my fave of the house. Oddly enough, I sometimes like to layer it with tea scents like Winter Palace or Wulong Cha. I don’t mix them but apply each fragrance separately on skin.
I got a sample of Musk Therapy and I’m not a musk person but boy oh boy I love it!!! Valaya is on my wish list also! I think I’ll get a decant first to see if I love it!🎉Amouage is one of my favorite perfume house. I remember back in the day when I first started trying niche,I fell in love (now this was around 12 years ago).. thank you for a great vdieo!

I haven't tried many of these, but I've had Tihoto and think it's really nice, and I ADORE Psychedelic Love! One of my absolute favorites. (And the only Initio I've tried besjdes Side Effect, which is nice but doesn't blow me away) I'd really like to try Musk Therapy. I do have issues with white musk dominant perfumes lasting on me though. But I love them. Thanks for sharing. 😊

I also got some etiket samples recently and was able to test Initio Side Effect, Absolute Aphrodisiac and Psychedelic Love and it's really only the last one that wowed me. Thinking of a full bottle as well. I like these types of videos and find them helpful. 😙 I'll need to get my nose on Guidance soon.
I have yet to try Absolute Aphrodisiac. I've only tried a dupe. As a side note, the fragrantica "pros and cons" section for that fragrance is hilarious
@@TheScented Omgosh…I went there to check. Hilarious! It’s a nice scent but it’s a musky, sweet, vanilla. Starts off light then warms up to evolve to the nice, deep vanilla. I wouldn’t say it’s hugely different from Nuit et Confidences, except there is more musk in it.
Tihota is one of the most complimented fragrance I wear...by men and women too! It is different when it is sprayed and as it dries down. Beautiful!
I love the smokiness of the fragrance. It really isn’t ‘just vanilla’ and I wouldn’t describe it as vanilla cake.
When I try musk therapy Initio from sample didn’t get good performance,but from full size I get all day good waves from it!I little overspray.I think it’s behave as baccarat appears and disappears all day which is good,not make you tired from a perfume.

Thanks for the Valaya input. I’ve been thinking about sampling it but I felt like, do I really want something that sort of reminds me of Fleur Narcotique but doesn’t deliver? So yay, that’s one less scent I need to sample.
@@JasminSteller-cm8tc where in Germany? I plan to go to Hamburg in a month and would like a travel bottle from ex nihilo. I tryed both valaya FN, and valaya turned quite bitter on my skin. I prefer FN or even better is cologne 365.
I'm shocked you got a sea-like smell from Amouage Guidance. I didn't get any of that lol. I mainly smelled the frankincense, tons of hazelnut, vanilla, and rose. Almost dessert-like. Very potent gourmand perfume in my opinion. Crazy how different things smell on each individual person!

I will never understand the comparisons to Fleur Narcotique which I find to be overrated with mediocre performance. Valaya was a pleasant surprise to me especially since Im not big on PDM as a house. Rosee is the only one I kinda liked previously from the female line of that house. Valaya has great projection which i appreciate. I like Guidance and have gotten more compliments from it than any oher fragrance so far this year. Crazy!
I agree with your review on Valaya it’s not unique enough and I kept getting a hint of laundry soap. Quite frankly it’s not worth that price tag they put on it.

It has to be personal taste. I tried Valaya and at first I didn’t like it. I had a sample as well. I came back to it and found it to be really beautiful and complex. And soooo long lasting. Stays on my skin all day and I can smell it on my clothes and hair the next day. Also have received compliments from my boyfriend as well as female and male friends. So saying it doesn’t last and it’s flat out not good when you have a tiny sample bottle might not be a fair assessment. I appreciate your videos and insight and also want to give another perspective for anyone who might be considering getting it.
I understand that your experience is different and of course skin chemistry is a factor that goes without saying.
However small the sample may be, I did wear through it, experienced it from start to finish and dedicated a significant amount of time to critiquing the fragrances :) this is part of my review policy.

Yana! Just want to let you know that Musk Therapy is a BEAST fragrance. I have a spray sample from the brand my GOD it chokes me out (I wore it to the gym and it projected like crazy). I just wanted to reassure you that it has great performance!

I felt the same about Tihota it was underwhelming it didn't last on the skin. The price is high and in a world full of vanilla perfumes it isn't one I would choose.
I want to smell Interlude. Could you pick up the Kiwi note they talk about?
I love Psychedelic love when I first smelled it. One of those love at first sniff... The hedione must be part of why it's so attractive.

Yana, can you recommend a fragrance that has vanilla, oud, musk, and perhaps fig or sandalwood? I'm not a floral lover, but I adore Oud, but not too overpowering. My go to has been Versace Crystal Noir, but it's not really a summer scent. I also don't care for green scents. If I could fine a lighter scent of Crystal Noir, that would be perfect. I'm so grateful to you and your knowledge. ❤❤
Hmm, I'll have to think on that! I do think that you would enjoy psychedelic love and Lake & Skye Midnight 07 (it's somewhat similar but has a fig note. Also a bit more affordable)

Hi yana 👋 I have been going through some of your old videos… would you still recommend Le Magnolia de Rosine? I’ve seen a tester floating around and was thinking of blind buying… wondering if you still liked the scent?
Yes!! It's a beautiful light floral perfect for warm weather
Guidance has a strong cinnamon for me so try before you buy. I do love the House and they blend as well as Tiziana Fragrances though so will probably work on a lot of people. Honour 43 is amazing though and blind buy easy
There is no cinnamon in guidance and it smells amazing in a skin
Etiket has a great selection of niche perfumes, which is great, however, those sample dabbing decants are difficult to truly understand what the perfume smell like once sprayed from an atomizer. I bought 10 samples and ended up disliking most of the perfumes. The spray decants would be my preference and I would buy from them, but would definitely order sample decants from other places that offers the spray option to test out the scents. Fast service. I trust them. But the dabber decants have got to go.
Scents Angel is really good about having a sturdy 5ml sprayer. Grateful for that! Looking for them to add more scents.

I have a tester for Guidance and have tested Valaya at Nordstrom. To me, Valaya didn’t stand out. Guidance is stunning, but the sandalwood is really strong in the dry down and, personally, I find it a bit irritating, unfortunately 😢.
Same for me! The sandalwood drydown ruined it. 🤷♀️
Agree with you- I like Guidance and Psychedlic Love. I need to try Interlude Woman. I heard it is formal smelling. Do you still like Fleur Narcotique? Ricina supposedly smells like it and I would like your opinion about it. Lastly have you smelled Starlight byvXerjoff?
I recently tried Tonka Cola and I guess it is fun to smell like a spiced lemon coke. It works on me for Fall.
Lastly have you tried Crimson Rocks?

Crimson Rocks seemed a bit to spicy for me but I only smelled it briefly on a blotter

Is the psychedelic love good for spring and summer too or just winter months?
Cooler spring days, rainy days, definitely not good for warmer summer months, could be a bit too much imo
I would agree with Torrie - I'm wearing it now and it's 14 degrees Celsius but windy and cloudy. I'd probably wear it into the 20s but not on super warm days
Bal d'Afrique is way more aromatic, I love it though, while Musk Therapy lasts way longer and the white musk is supe prominent; I love it.
Due to the rose and osmanthus (notes that I don't get along with, osmanthus is a hate actually but the rose here isn't a dislike as it's a bit powdery and not jammy) I will use my sample of Guidance but there is something more that bothers me and I don't know what it is 😵💫I have to find an Amouage fragrance that is totally me so I will try Amouage Interlude woman.
I looove Psychedelich Love. I don't like the amber accord or resinous scents but this is, somehow, a winner for me.

I just found out about Guidance earlier today and even though I love the bottle, name& most of the notes, salt& nutty notes are not my favs at all. You mentioning 'salty' more than once to describe the scent just confirms that this one is, unfortunately, not for me.
Guidance smelled like pickle juice on me and I just couldn’t get past that. Thank god I was able to exchange it out.
They can definitely behave very differently on skin! Thankfully you were able to swap it for something you enjoy more 😊

It's still worth a try! It's just this brand overall doesn't seem to agree with my skin or nose 🤷🏻♀️

I save up some money and don’t know which to buy… in my List is: Valaya, Oriana, la roseee OR Memo marfa o. Sintra or Good girl gone Bad Kilian- please Help 😅😢
I don't advocate for blind buying unless you're okay with potentially not liking the scent. I would recommend sampling first and have a few of these on thescented.ca. If you enjoy Kilian Love, I think you would also love Oriana and Sintra
Valaya has been my go to in the summer heat. It’s very similar to Fleur Narcotique but more citrus in the opening and longer lasting. I feel like ever since Hailey Bieber said Fleur Narcotique was her signature scent it’s blown up, but trust, Valaya is wayyyy better ❤

Finally someone hyped the interlude woman. For me its such a sexy beast scent. Its my signature scent and people go crazy about ti.❤

I have a full bottle of Musk Therapy. It is a classy beautiful light unisex fragrance. However, it does not last at all two to three hours tops and not worth the price that I paid.
Is Musk Therapy suitable for a guy?
