❤️ I love that we are talking about pcos nowadays. Pcos can be such an emotionally and psychologically excruciating experience for a young woman. The facial hair and belly fat can lead to such poor body image and low self esteem. Not to mention the mood swings and “ imbalances “ due to this condition. Since starting keto last year I’ve lost 45 pounds and get my cycle every month. It has changed my life. ❤️

Inflammation triggered through extended antibiotic use, stress, allergies…Keto or very low carb with IF is definitely good for all inflammatory conditions.

I have PCOS and I’m only 19 I just found out last year but my doctor said I have probably had it for a while. I went on a gluten free and dairy free diet, I also intermittent fast. That helped me a lot especially with the facial hair and I finally have a kinda regular period. I also had cysts on my ovaries but Hopefully because of my lifestyle change this changes. I also had thinning of the hair and i dad have a few bald spots ( not completely bald) but someone who had very thick and long hair this was probably the worst thing. Because for a while I wasn’t having a period since my freshmen year of high school and I finally get my period now and I’m a sophomore in college. I also choose not to take the birth control pill and i just choose to eat healthy. So it is possible to fix this but you have to just put in work☺️.

@@jenniferhammonds622 you can buy nascent iodine and follow instructions. You can eat a lot of sea weed and kelp, shellfish like oysters and scallops. If you have iodine deficiency it can take up to a year to fix. America has a lot of toxins so i don't see how you can overdose no matter what the "experts" say. Bromine or bromide in manufactured bread pushes iodine out of all cells. Chlorine in tap water pushes iodine out of all cells. It is possible flouride in tap water pushes iodine out of all cells, but I am not sure. Iodine was removed from milk, bread and it is not found in sea salt. (weirdly, iodine will escape from sea water and turn into a gas , move through air and land into the ground. The further away land is from the sea, the less iodine soil has). It is put in man - made table salt, but many people with cardiovascular problems (heart and circulatory system) can't have table salt. Best source is sea food and sea vegetables. The japanese get lots of iodine, so in america I can't see you overdosing. Don't worry about it.

I think inflammatory conditions (and viral infections can trigger that) create havoc in the body and contributes to a whole array of problems. I don’t think specifically Lyme. Lyme is only common in certain parts os the world and PCOS is a condition that affects women around the world. I have PCOS, no Lyme or endometriosis. But autoimmune markers. My insulin is currently at 7. But has increased ap. 400% in 2 years. My PCOS got worse

Well I just got done watching Dr. Isabella wilentz, thyroid pharmacist videos.
It mention specifically some type of infection, Lyme disease, illness triggering disease causing thyroid problems, disease, Hashimoto’s.... which they mention specifically Lyme disease prior to puberty which caused PCOS and pituitary dysregulation which causes a cascade of symptoms. And then it most likely started with the mother having a virus prior to giving birth to the individual child being affected.
As it is passed down from generation to generation usually, hereditary PCOS issues. It’s also mentioned iodine deficiency as a contributor to PCOS symptoms, which I found ironic because they only mention that in thyroid specific type of conversations. I have to say with all the decades of reading and learning about so many different topics trying to heal myself and my daughter it was a real eye-opener on some of the videos in her thyroid summit.

Besides a small mustache, I don't have other facial hair. My hair has been thinning since probably puberty (didn't notice until my ponytail became 1/3 of what it used to be😫) but my ultrasound didn't reveal any cysts. After I went on keto for 2 months, my hair loss got worse, so I stopped the diet, but my hair loss continued. It's been 2 months since I fell off the wagon, I'm now practically bald😭

@@bwyyc2886 may i suggest videos by doctor jorge flechas about iodine? You may need seaweed, kelp, oysters to get more minerals, iodine , selenium , etc, which are needed for many processes in the body. Keto can be bad for some women because you may eat too much fat and not enough protein. Also, women need more whole , starchy foods than men ! (see videos by stacy simms and the book "roar"),. Nature's Way has kelp in capsules but it must say "whole thallus",
Sounds gross, but raw dairy is much better than pasteurized dairy, raw fish, raw organs and raw meat too. Sounds bad , but it has helped a lot of sick people, see aajunos Vonderplanitz primal diet, but always eat what works best for you and your body. What you eat should depend on what your body is going through and u know your body better than anyone else.
When it comes to water, mineral water with natural carbonation, alkaline water is best. The chemicals in tap water is not good.

After watching this and many other videos, it's given me some belief.
My other half has just been diagnosed with PCOS.
It was done at an egg donation clinic where they found she had 32 folecules in her ovaries.
My other half was distraught because shes been getting tested for endometriosis.
But now it makes sense with all the symptoms she has it's showing PCOS.
after doing all this researching I'm trying to show my other half there is hope and you can help yourself.
Which is very hard to get through.
She's gone to the doctors, I made sure to tell her to ask for her insulin to be tested ect, the doctors have done none of this, they just want to check her blood sugars.
I insisted they need to check her testosterone levels as well.
She has done her research but she says that all her levels to insulin and testosterone could be normal and she might just have it.. is it possible to have PCOS and not have abnormal levels as described in this video?
She's under the impression it's a case of living with it until we try for a child and she will then have to have treatment to help have a child.
However I'm against this method as I believe this is a condition caused by certain things lifestyle and can be sorted and most definitely helped.
I'm worried that this could be a bad road to go down without fixing the route cause?
Is this possible? To have normal levels and still have pcos?. I want to try help as much as I can.
