I went back and forth about it for TWO YEARS before I pulled the trigger March 2022. I was a loose natural for years though so I wasn’t gonna miss a straight look. 7 months loc’d now and some days I be looking crazy! 😂 but I looooove them!
I started my locs about 6 months ago, in 9 days I’ll be 7 months and I’m excited! I’m loving my locs never had a dull moment. Can’t wait to see how they mature.
@@Ashayshay I do have one concern I don’t know if you can help me out, when I retwist my locs and I place the clips to secure it, after my hair dries the spot where the clips were placed on my locs are flat and I can’t get them round again 🤷🏾♀️ Do you have this problem?
I know it’s not like me to post on wednesday, but I will only be posting 1 video this week. I was on vacation and I didn’t have the time to post 2 videos for y’all! I hope you understand
I am 8.5 months into my 3rd set in 20 years. This set I did myself, just like you! I loved your video. I’m an 👵🏽, but I just subscribed. Well done, lil sis! 💖
Loved the vid! One thing I disagreed about is your hair being thin if you comb them out. My hair was actually way healthier and thicker each time I’d comb my hair out. I’d just use some oil to take them out.
Me Watching This 8Months In On Wit Locs Scared What Your Cons Gone Be Like "It Really Don't Matter What She Say Cause I'm To Deep In The Game To Go Back Now" 😂😂😂 But Your Video Was Very Helpful So Thank You 💯❤️
It’s good to have a reason before getting it. Reason I got it is cuz black ppl literally have wire coiled antennas, not hair, which other races of ppl have that are the same as dogs & shit. My hair connects to the sun, surroundings, etc. waves & frequencies.
im 8 months locd and some days i be wanting hairstyles ik i cant get with locs lol and be hurt but i love my locs so far and im waiting till i get some length so i can do these spiky lil ponytails
Hey. How are u …. I’m just waitin for my gf. My helping hand to get here from the city this week. And we’re off to live a new loc journey. I think about your pros and cons often. The one u hit on that always bothers me is that entire baby stage where they look like crap. Lol. Stringy and messy. A mind of there own. They actually looked on my last loc journey like they were done wrong lol. But they became amazing…. Question. How do I twist in the easy way. Last time I had no arthritis but that’s one reason y I want locs back. I can’t be bothered doing my hair everyday. Most days. I just can’t. And when I took mine out. I had locs to my breasts. I cut them to my shoulder. And comes for a whole weekend. Girl I had blisters !!!! And yes. I lost so much hair. My hair looked thin and broken. But it was soft. And it really wasn’t too thin. I was just used to being a loc queen 👸 ok my girl. Let me just say don’t wait for the day. It’s a locs JOURNEY. YOURS ARE AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL. AND THEY MAKE EVERY DAY A NEW DAY. THERE ALWAYS CHANGING. I LOVED THAT ABOUT MY LOC JOURNEY. ITS A LIFE STYLE . JOT REALLY A “ ill love them one day “ thang. And with the way u look and that smile. Well u seem to love your loc life … now what’s the simplest way to twist girl ?!!! Lol. Ty. You are a kind soul. Talk soon and ty for your words and the b’ day wish come early. You rock ❤️
hey! i only use one way to twist so I don’t know about others. I just was the new growth in Palm roll. then i use a clip and let them air dry. you can check out one of my retwisting videos and I show you exactly how to do it
I have like a knotty bump down some of my locs. Can you tell me why and is this natural? They are like lumps in the loc. I have been only since September 3rd 2022
I’m only 3 months in 🥺 my first day I was sad because my hair was so thin. My fro was so thick and I just wasn’t expecting that. Wore a wig the whole first month. When I did wash it and it got poofy I loved it. Styled it and kept going lol. Now they’re starting to Bud so I feel a little better but sis 😐 I’m struggling. Trying to trust the process but at the same time I’ve been thinking of switching to micro locs.
that’s exactly how i felt! i still wear my wigs and i’m nine months in but my hair has definitely thickened up. microlocs will definitely give you a fuller look but whew chile that retwist/ interlock will take forever. congrats on 3 months!
How long have you had your locs? When do you plan to start? OR what’s stopping you?
Just started mine two days ago, and I’m soooooo excited

i did at first but i just make sure to remove the clips before my hair is completely dry
@@Ashayshay oh ok, I’ll try doing that. Normally I would leave the clips in for hours. Thank you for the tip!!
I’m literally going to start my journey in a few hours! I’m so excited!
