I am a month in and I did the stocking cap wash method and yes it worked well for me. There were a few of my baby locs unraveling but it wasn’t bad.

And make sure you use shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair "No Sulfates"

Locs are much thicker and will take more products and time. And if you want your color vibrant I suggest you lift it almost to platinum and then put the color on.

To get my locs platinum I had to dye it 3 times because you have locs. This was 5 years ago. Nothing happened bad where my hair was gone break off because I did this over 3 days as instructed. Plus I washed and conditioned my hair very well

I did comb coils and if I had to do it again I would do it again

I did my hair yesterday and my roots came out hot also. Is it safe to add color today again?

How many boxes did you end up using?

I'm two weeks loc'd, and I worry about lint every day! I wear a satin scarf, a satin bonnet, and have satin pillowcases. The only moisturizing I do is spritz them with water. Haven't oiled my scalp yet. Concerned about build-up. Minimal un-raveling, hopefully thanks to interlocking most of them and instant locking a few in the back where the hair is less coily.
