- @Crimebustersnetwork obtained body worn camera footage of a West Palm Beach Police Department call regarding a woman who was stuffing multiple items in a backpack at Target. The woman also reportedly changed into new clothes, and attempted to leave the store without paying for any of the items.
On this day, a loss prevention employee was able to hold her until the police arrived.
This obtained video is NOT intended to be violent, nor glorify violence or any other crime. We are sharing this footage strictly for the purposes of news reporting, education and crime prevention.

I am disgusted by the way cops act these days in reference to shoplifters! They usually give them a ticket and walk away. The cops are as bad as the prosecutors! Just don’t care about enforcing any laws!
They are going exactly by the laws… unless you’ve been caught stealing before you will not go to jail and only get a ticket. But if you have priors they arrest you or if it’s above a certain amount. The cops are not just choosing to let them go..

The pants she picked up to change into from the stolen ones she was wearing still had tags hanging from them! Wonder where she just shoplifted them from if they're not from Target. Also. If these people actually faced jail time, instead of just trespassing, a ticket or probation, maybe there wouldn't be so many thefts. They didn’t even investigate all the stuff in the backpack that wasn’t targets but clearly was stolen from somewhere else.
What's to investigate. The other potential stolen stuff wouldn't hold up in court. It would cost them more in resources to investigate the thefts that no one witnessed. The stuff she stole from other spots can't get confiscated either. That entire backpack 🎒 will be inventoried to jail with her up until she gets out. 😂 lucky her huh

A reach, like so many other comments on this video. Tags or not, as mentioned whether those other clothes were stolen from somewhere else isn’t their current concern, nor something they could or would want to try to investigate. And it’s possible she did pay for them and is carrying them around in that backpack with what seems to be most of her earthly possessions. I have plenty of clothes with the tags still on them from ages ago, although no I don’t carry them with me out and about or into other retail establishments.

Years ago, I worked at a department store here in eastern Pennsylvania. One day, our lost prevention department, caught a shoplifter who, at first,ran and our local police department had to take off after him. It was a big Chase. Luckily, they eventually got this thug and, When they ran his history to see if he had any warrants or anything, like that, it turned out that he had a warrant out for bank robbery. Talk about catching the big fish!

The cop did not do his due diligence to investigate where the other clothes & food, that she had no receipt for, came from. Also, arrest her! It really chaps my a** when they just give these thieves a Notice to Appear & let them go on their merry way.🤬

After watching hundreds of these videos I wanted to say the same thing but didn't want to give the impression that I was defending the thieves. The statement people don't use in the right situation, "I don't answer questions other than to I identify myself" works perfectly when you are being accused. She wasn't bad but others just run their mouths.

She will show up for court, get issued a fine, probably $100, be ordered to work in a soup kitchen for her 20 hours of community service, and on her way home stop by the local Walmart and shoplift from there.

I dont steal but ive always been told targets loss prevention is some of the best in existence so not best place steal from. I dont even use self checkout partially because im 49 and partly dont want to ever do it wrong or something and be accused of theft.
The correct answer for not using self check out should be that encouraging their use takes away the need for human bodies as cashiers. They take away jobs!
