I always think "man, domination is so boring, all you do is throw units at cities, where's the fun in that." 3 failed alexander the great games later...
One problem I always run into with domination games is reaching the other continents when there’s vast water in between. Loyalty is even more of a problem because of this.
You can raze, but that will actually hurt your loyalty in future cities that you take and keep because there will be less of your population surrounding them.
Domination is the only strategy I am legitimately good at. I cannot win any other way, they all end in losses. I try so hard and get so close for science, but always fall just a bit short
I m just playing some episodes with Nubia,and I attacked Rome,and realize his walls are out of reach for me.So must withdraw and attack some city state of Rome(suzerein),and all that with medieval units,then Rome come to me with mech infantry and we got peace! Now I m upgrading units and creating Science alliances to get on my feet's

Could you not raze a city instead of capturing it to reduce the loyalty pressure on a city you do want to keep?

So is Amani a good choice to keep in reserve to shore up loyalty issues in the worst cases?
