I'm a little confused. What's the point of the VB Cable driver pack? You didn't explain it's use at all... If we're using VM Output rather than Cable output, do we even need VM Cable, or is that part of what allows us to do that in the first place?
I’m trying to use this to record on BandLab, but when I turn the voice meter on , everything in bandlab stops working . I changed it to the voice meter output and everything and it’s not working . Please help I’m just trying to record my music at home .
To clarify things up, voicemeeter banana WORKS on mac and the point of using VB Cable driver pack is so the actual microphone setting / tweaking that you did actually applies. And use CABLE Output at discord / games. Hope this'll help someone.
For those having “static” sound being heard from the microphone, if its a condenser microphone with an AC/DC adapter most likely the volts from the adapter are whats causing the static noise. Mine had 12v and it was killing my mates, I lowered it to 5v and the noise was gone. This worked for me, and I hope my solution can also bring insight to your problem. :))
popfilters do make a very big difference, talking into the mic at an angle can in most cases make you sound further away, due to polar patterns you won't sound as direct, as I said it's all a matter of opinion but technically following my experience (in music production courses). Voicemeeter is a great choice, but personally I wouldn't want my mic as bassy as yours, it's way too intimate, and way too many high frequencies, trying to make your voice sound as natural as possible is the sweet spot, too much of one good thing is going to make it sound worse than it should. And no "cheaper" mic will sound like a studio mic, the inner of the mic, its drivers etc. give it the quality, excluding EQ. your mic the AT2020 is used in studio environments, I wouldn't have EQ'd it as much as you have
In regards to the pop filter, it depends on your mic and how you address it. To me if you’re on a budget, I wouldn’t freak out about needing to have one since off-axis speaking gets rid of most plosives. Lastly in regards to the EQ, make it sound like whatever you want! The second half of the video is to introduce the controls of an EQ as lay as possible. VM is great but I no longer use either setups in the video. I currently use an AT2035 paired with a GoXLR Mini.
This video really helps a lot. Thanks for putting the configuration file in the description. Since I am not a person who can see and good with applications with a lot of GUI, Putting the same configuration into the mic really does work. Thanks.
12:07 It's important to note that you're actually equalizing all of the channels, not just your microphone. Your microphone is assigned to B-1, which corresponds to channel 6. If you only intend to edit your microphone's audio, you need to select the specific channel instead of keeping all channels highlighted. When you have 'all' highlighted, every sound passing through VoiceMeeter will be equalized. Now, you may wonder why this matters. Well, when you play music, it may sound strange because you've equalized every single channel. The same goes for playing games, as editing all the channels on VoiceMeeter can result in an odd sound. However, since there are eight channels available, you have the ability to equalize each channel individually. This allows you to make your game audio distinct from your movies, music, browser, and microphone.

on keeping the microphone close or not depends on a few factors. if you have a condenser like the at2020 it is generally better to talk a little bit more softly and move closer to the mic because otherwise it picks up a lot of your room. This is especially important when you have an untreated room. If you have an okay room you can put it a little bit away from your face. With dynamic microphones you basically have to shove it into your face but otherwise you won't have any problems with it, because it doesn't pick up the room but only what is directly in front of it. A dynamic mic is therefore a good solution if you have shitty room acoustics. Good dynamic mics are the Shure SM57 or 58. The Rode PodMic is also not bad. Just don't get the SM7B, imo not really worth it in comparison.

The reason I’m getting a pop filter still is because I’ll be able to talk closer to the mic. Then I won’t need a high amount of gain, so I’ll have less background noise. I also found the microphone I want for cheaper than the same microphone on other websites. The difference was a pop filter comes with it. The microphone I want is a Samson G track pro.

I though i was the only one
bro i love that intro ive gotta be honest!
Idk if turning off my AC at 40°+C is a good idea 😂
Does this work with HyperX QuadCast? because there is no difference between my mic with your settings and my normal mic without your settings. Someone help please? :(
bro your "mic setting" leads to adware!
thank you for your effort but i think EQ effect and Parametric Equalizer > Vocal Enhancer - Works better and easier for Premier Pro Users.
Where is the settings? I couldn't even get them
you've probably figured it out by now... but if not make sure you get voice meter banana and not just the standard
i installed the banana voice meter thing and now i cant hear noting out of my headphones
Same
go to sound settings, because what would have happened was it would have changed the speaker
I know this video was from 2 years ago but OH MY GOD. i love you and love all the help youve given me and everyone else watching this video. i JUST bought a new mic and it sounded more muddy than I thought it should because it specialized in base and not clarity. But imputing your settings in instantly made my voice sound exactly how I wanted it I cant thank you enough I was stressing allll morning :,)
i cant figure out how to install the settings
