Thank you Sis Zinhle! Your growth is looking so good! 🤩 I've had my protective style in for three weeks. Wearing headwraps like a new bride. I can see the new growth already. Thank you for inspiring us to love our hair ❤
Lol the way I laughed when I saw “like a new bride” 😂😂😂 So relatable, we are in this together my love. I’m so proud of your consistency, keep going! I am also encouraged to know that I’m not alone in the mission 🤍 Thank you for being here 🌸💕💗
The pressure to look "cute" is setting me back. July was my birthday so i couldn't keep my protective style ( medium braids) because I wanted to look a certain way. I don't like wigs at all so that's not an option. I have installed new medium braids that i want to keep for 3 months, they will just have to deal with it on the streets. I love your hair ❤ Do you go out like that to work? or do you wear wigs?
Lol I hear you and don’t feel bad it was your birthday after all!!! Happy Belated Birthday hun 💐🎉🥂 I hope the rest of this year shows you more and more blessings 🤍 I feel the same way about wigs, I gave them away years ago. In public I wear my fancy headwraps and at home I’m also in my silk/satin scarf. Please try them out (with a silk/ satin scarf or bonnet underneath)☺️❤️
Yooooo I feel you I love braids for a long protective style ❤but this time I joined on the cornrows it's only been 19 days but ummm I don't think I'll keep them for 2 months I'm scared of the matting But I'll try new to push to 6 weeks but with the washing biweekly or weekly God bless 😅
Lol I totally understand, once you experience mini braids on natural hair, it’s difficult to go back to anything else 😅 Personally I know my hair will be matting either way, so I’ll keep going. If you feel like changing the style up will help you in the long run, of course go ahead, 6 weeks is still an accomplishment 🤍🙏🏾
Keep going hun, it will follow the rest of the hair that is growing ❤️💃🏽…make sure you pay attention, especially to tension, moisture and how protected it is when you’re sleeping 🥰
Am i to late to join? I had my crochet locs in since June 29th. I already got 1.5 inches of growth. I was goung to take this style out sept 13. After this video ima try to push it to Sept 29 lol. I use my herbal hair growth henna, fenugreek, brinraja n more daily with my herbal butter my hair us growing. I want my baby hair in the front to grow n it is
It’s never too late, please join in. 💗 I love that you have a routine already that’s been working. 💗🌸 I love that you’re doing a long term protective style, well done hun! The results are going to be amazing 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👑
@zinhle.africa Thank you for the encouragement. New subbie! I'm not active on my channel. I'm definitely coming back bc more queen still need encouragement and guidance on hair care. I love seeing long term protective styles.
If you are looking for a natural and organic shampoo I’d recommend Greek olive oil soap. It’s hypoallergenic, lasts a long time and doesn’t dry my hair (2b-3a) out as much. I like PAPOUTSANIS brand but I am not sure it’s available in South Africa just check it only contains olive oil and lye and it should work the same.
with this wrap when you go out side, the moistire of your hair will be taken away. do you put satin sarf underneath the wrap? or do you moistire every day so it doesnot matter
Hey hun, I wear silk / satin scarves everyday even under my other headwraps. Nothing takes the moisture away but I still moisturise everyday, even if it’s just a little bit because I’m moisture training 🫶🏽
Well done hun 💕 You’ll find your rhythm, your own approach to styling or even alternating between no extensions and extensions …but in the meantime your hair is flourishing! 💗🌸

So far it’s still looking good because I’m not neglecting it. To a certain extent kinky hair will always lock and shrink up but how you treat the hair determines how much it will lock up. No matter how much my hair can lock up it can always be detangled, it’s just that simple. Either way the proof is in the pudding- we’ll see what it looks like when I take the cornrows out
Your hair looks so healthy and moisturised

We’ll see what happens. Why are people scared of matting when we can just gently detangle it out? 🤷🏽♀️
What's the name if this style?
Hey hun, these are usually called Beehive cornrows
