    The pressure to look "cute" is setting me back. July was my birthday so i couldn't keep my protective style ( medium braids) because I wanted to look a certain way. I don't like wigs at all so that's not an option. I have installed new medium braids that i want to keep for 3 months, they will just have to deal with it on the streets.
    I love your hair ❤ Do you go out like that to work? or do you wear wigs?

    • @zinhle.africa
      @zinhle.africa  2 месяца назад +4

      Lol I hear you and don’t feel bad it was your birthday after all!!! Happy Belated Birthday hun 💐🎉🥂 I hope the rest of this year shows you more and more blessings 🤍
      I feel the same way about wigs, I gave them away years ago. In public I wear my fancy headwraps and at home I’m also in my silk/satin scarf. Please try them out (with a silk/ satin scarf or bonnet underneath)☺️❤️

    Yooooo I feel you I love braids for a long protective style ❤but this time I joined on the cornrows it's only been 19 days but ummm I don't think I'll keep them for 2 months I'm scared of the matting
    But I'll try new to push to 6 weeks but with the washing biweekly or weekly God bless 😅

    • @zinhle.africa
      @zinhle.africa  2 месяца назад +1

      Lol I totally understand, once you experience mini braids on natural hair, it’s difficult to go back to anything else 😅
      Personally I know my hair will be matting either way, so I’ll keep going. If you feel like changing the style up will help you in the long run, of course go ahead, 6 weeks is still an accomplishment 🤍🙏🏾

    If you are looking for a natural and organic shampoo I’d recommend Greek olive oil soap. It’s hypoallergenic, lasts a long time and doesn’t dry my hair (2b-3a) out as much. I like PAPOUTSANIS brand but I am not sure it’s available in South Africa just check it only contains olive oil and lye and it should work the same.

      I think you should try aphogee 1x a month dry it with blow dryer do deep conditioner after thev2bd step then leave in do food yourgurt mixed with India powders alma neem skkka bingraj and add oregano neem oil to stop from spoiling. Keep in fridge. Deep conditioner with plastic cap and heat cap weekly. Use k 18 oil or oleplex oil and the cream after wash. Before wash day put oregano oil and neem oil in scalp if don't like scent add peppermint this kills demdex mites. Follow can doll. Don't use oils on scalp only as treatment and on hair not scalp. Dont use clogging oils. use scalp tonic like ordinary peptides instead some people can't use too much oil pores clog look up oils that clog. Pores.

    Zee ndim lowo ntombi am trying to keep my chunky cornrows for 3/2 and half months 😅❤, I too have been noticing some thick hairline, I even wanted how far they’d stretch and ziphela next to my eyes laaark😩😍😍🔥, and ndazixelela kemna uba I’ll never do thin cornrows every again, am into you chunky cornrows and these are my first chunky ones, they literally 12 I used to have like 30 something cornrows which would take forever to do and unravel and I used to experience excessive shedding as a result of them, ewe I did them cause I thought that they were convenient for me at that time as they take longer for the new growth to peek out, but now I realised that less is enough, and am happy with the new thick growth that am seeing🥹, even though nam I laugh sometimes when I touch them cause kubangathi ndibambe slice sesonka sombhako sana💀🤣

    • @zinhle.africa
      @zinhle.africa  2 месяца назад +3

      So far it’s still looking good because I’m not neglecting it. To a certain extent kinky hair will always lock and shrink up but how you treat the hair determines how much it will lock up.
      No matter how much my hair can lock up it can always be detangled, it’s just that simple. Either way the proof is in the pudding- we’ll see what it looks like when I take the cornrows out
