I used to do art since very very young age. I quit and regret that since focusing on something else and abandoning what I love wasnt the right thing to do. I started again some months ago refreshing all that I learned looking for some relief to my depression and severe anxiety problems. I wanted so bad to do watercolor but didnt knw where to start. I found your video and it helped me so much. Ive been trying still quite a mes ha ha ha but Ill keep trying. Im a mother of 8, I always find my time and space to do art since its what helps me control my anxiety.
Janice Inkheart I know it’s not much coming from someone you don’t know, but from what I read it’s amazing that you’re trying again something that you love after everything you’ve been trough, you’re really strong and deserve to be happy!
@@pietrarogedo1351 Thank You so much for your words. It hasn't been easy some days are better others are worst but I'll fight through it. Since I started art I've been better. It's difficult some times to find inspiration when I'm going through hard times, I lost my puppy and I wasn't able to do anything until like two days ago and even so I find myself with everything ready to start art and somehow I space breaking apart again....
Janice Inkheart I genuinely hope everything in your path it’s blessed and encourages you to find the happiness and the lessons in what you are going through. I’m really sorry about your puppy!
I relate to this very much! Over the years I started detaching to my old hobbies due to the depression but now I'm trying to get back to it. I'm very depressed and anxious these days. I stopped crying when I started swatching my new watercolour 😂 I guess I'm off to a good start. saved me from a bad breakdown. I hope it gets better for us ^ω^
I have some masters touch from hobby lobby 36 colors and it was half off so 19 bucks they are acutally pretty good I think me the artist is the bad one
try out ohuhu, 48 piece tube set is like 18 bucks. also if you like, I've been fond of a 15 buck set over in walmart craft section, its a travel pan style with a water brush, they are actually rather decent, and the brush is actually pretty darn good for a water brush, I like it as I can take it with me to work and paint on my lunch.
This is the video I wish I had seen when I was first starting. It would have saved me money and nearly throwing in the towel when the cheap supplies didnt perform like I wanted.
Happy Saturday! After getting so many questions about how to start with watercolors and what should you paint, I decided to make a video all about that! ► Don't forget to grab your FREE Guide about Watercolor Painting for Beginners here: makoccino.com/how-to-start-with-watercolor-painting
for the first time i watched a tutorial video without skipping. im gonna start watercoloring and just trying to understand how it works. this video made me feel so calm omg. gonna watch all of ur videos probably...
These are my favourite beginner videos on RUclips, Mako. You have a gift for teaching. Beginners need the detailed verbal description of what you are doing and why and you do this so well.
In my art class today we had an hour to do a painting, watercolour or oil paint. I used your techniques that I saw in the video and my art teach said she loved it! Thank you so much! Have an awesome day! 🌺😊🌼
Finally, a video that makes me feel confident in not ruining my art supplies. I was gifted beautiful supplies of premium quality but have dreaded "ruining" them for almost a year. Time to start creating! Thank you!
So, I never comment on RUclips videos, but I’m so excited. I’ve always wanted to do watercolor painting but I’m not an artist and I never knew where to begin and then I found your videos. I’ve learned so much in a very short amount of time. I purchased my set of watercolor essentials and followed along with this paint along. My paintings came out so pretty and I could not be happier. Thanks for providing the space for me to explore this lovely medium. I can’t wait to try more!

Thank you for this video, I am learning to paint by myself , is a way to take away my mind from the news about covid 19 . It will be marvelous is you can do some easy proyects for begginers
@Awenda That is amazing that you know all of this, thank you for sharing and I will look into this in depth!! I learned about the color wheel through reading up on Psychology and "color theory" as it relates to color having an effect on a person's mood and overall outlook of their environment!! Also, I learned about warm and cool colors which definitely make a difference!! I've been dying to try watercolor painting since my Art 100 class and I finally got the nerve to purchase the supplies!! Can't wait to try!!🥰
I used to do all kinds of art when I was young, but life was very difficult and it overwhelmed me and prevented me from carrying on with art. Now, decades later, through my own children, my desire to do art is being revived again. I just lack the confidence, I feel like "I can't", and like you said, don't know where to begin. Thank you for boosting my confidence. I can do this. I can learn. Little steps. Thank you!
I've been using your videos to help myself learn to paint since last year. Wet on wet is still a little rough for me but my wet on dry has really improved! Thank you.
Thank you for this I’m a hair colorist. During this covid19 quarantine I’m not able to work. The artist in me needed to color, watercoloring caught my eye.thanks for this during a hard time for me. I love the gradient effect, I do a lot of that on haircolor ❤️
here is a cheap alternative instead of the fancy paper: you can use folders and instead of washy tapes you can use masking tape it'll be easier and more affordable

4- LET IT DRY

I love this video so much, especially the tutorial! I was so frustrated that nothing was working but then I stumbled across your video. Thank you so much! Great voiceover btw.
Hello Mako, thank you so much for this, I've downloaded the guide from your web, it will help me a lot since I'm totally beginner here.
U don't know how much this helped me I can't thank you enough
Thank you so much for your videos! I never enjoyed anything artistic before but I bought some supplies on a whim and had no idea where to start. You helped me understand watercolours and learn to just enjoy painting, plus I’ve actually created some pictures I’m pleased with. I’m hooked now.
Thank you for the tutorials 😍Your the best Art teacher👍 😎👌✨
