- Here's one of my signature dishes, scallion pancakes! I made it before on my other channel but that was so long ago, and the quality wasn't as good. So now please enjoy my new and improved video recipe!

◆ Scallion pancake
Serving:3
Dough:
1 cup flour (and more flour for kneading)
½ cup hot water
One pancake:
3 tsp oil
less than ½ tsp salt, adjust to your taste
1 stalk scallion, minced

thank you for that tip about the "3 Clean" in kneading. I usually avoid recipes that require making dough, but your mom's instruction made it easy for me to understand what to look for when working with dough. Thanks!
The “3 Clean” tip is fantastic
I use a wine bottle to roll out my dough. Great recipe. I personally brush on dark sesame oil before the scallions.
I just watched 2 scallion pancake videos before this one and this one is the best - it's a bit thicker and it comes w/a recipe for a sauce.

This is the fourth scallion pancake video i have watched, and finally!! Somebody with the balls to put something else in with the scallions!! Bacon and cheese looks amazing!
lmao its not about balls its just not traditional. my chinese grandmother wouldnt do that not because shes “not ballsy” but because its just not right. its like pineapple on pizza; you CAN do it but wtf why would you thats nasty

Conveniently, there _is_ a temperature scale for water from 0 to 100, 100 being boiling.

Hey Mike! I just made 4 Chinese scallion pancakes!! My hubby ate 2 pieces, said it wasn't bad!! It's soooo good with soy sauce and garlic too! Turned out great! The process wasn't as easy as I thought it'd be, but if it was easier, it'd be dangerous for me LOL I ate 1.5 pieces. Saving the reminder for the next few days... Or tomorrow... LMAO 😍😍😍👌👌👌🍜🍜🥟🥟🍚🍚🥡🥡

I made scallions pancakes when I first watched it on Strictly Dumpling ages ago, but appreciate this newer updated tutorial! Once you started adding different mix-ins I thought about how about pork floss, like the pork floss buns you can find at Chinese bakeries! I bet that would be a good add-on too! Now you got me craving for some scallion pancakes!

Tried 2 other recipes and they did not work at all. Too hard, too tough. Tried this. It was easier and they were great! Hubby ate the pancakes! This will be goto recipe!

I saw your original video when you made this in your kitchen. I thought you put a little sesame oil in the layer that you coiled. I’ve never eaten one of these and I went to a Chinese restaurant here in Houston and it was gummy. Gag. Want to make this.
