      Are you sure that your hard drive is alive? Also, try to use function keys for the boot menu.

    Is there a difference between the F507 and the F507U? I need to get the battery replaced but can't find information about that anywhere

    I have an asus f507ub-br292t I want to put a ssd, Is there a slot for m2 SSD?

    • @ElectronicsComputers
      @ElectronicsComputers  10 месяцев назад

      As you can see from the video, there's an M.2 slot that supports NGFF SSDs.

  • @lonlo
    @lonlo 8 месяцев назад

    Does it support PCI-e? Or only SATA3?

    • @ElectronicsComputers
      @ElectronicsComputers  8 месяцев назад

      That model supports only M.2 NGFF SSDs.

    • @lonlo
      @lonlo 8 месяцев назад

      But I checked a slot on motherboard, one gap with 5 pins on top and 4 pins on bottom, according to the internet, it is a PCie-NVME, am I wrong?

    • @ElectronicsComputers
      @ElectronicsComputers  8 месяцев назад

      @@lonlo First of all, if you see two keys in the slot, then it's 100% only for NGFF SSDs, which have two key notches on the drive. NVMe has only one key on the drive, so you physically won't be able to insert an NVMe SSD into a dedicated NGFF slot.

    I tried to replace the original hdd (HGST 500gb) with an SSD Kingston A400 (240gb), but it doesn't boot. It goes automatically into bios, even though you keep pressing the booting key (F8), having disabled the fast booting in bios.
    Any clue?

    • @ElectronicsComputers
      @ElectronicsComputers  2 года назад +1

      How it will boot without operating system? Install windows 10 from a bootable flash drive. I have a video on how to create one.

    • @giannibazzoni5591
      @giannibazzoni5591 2 года назад

      @@ElectronicsComputers I did it but as I reported, it doesn't work since there's no response to the recalling of the boot menu (F8)... it says there are no bootable devices although there's a flashdrive containing Windows 10 and an external (USB) DVD writer unit.
      Shortly, it goes automatically into the bios.
      Thanks anyway 🙏🏻

      You need to enter BIOS/Advanced Mode/SATA Configuration and change SATA Mode Selection from "Intel RST Premium With Intel Optane System Acceleration" to "AHCI", and reboot with changes saved. After that all you devices become visible.

    How to add CMOS in this laptop????

    • @ElectronicsComputers
      @ElectronicsComputers  2 месяца назад

      Do you mean to reflash the BIOS chip? If the BIOS is corrupted you'll need a programmer to upload a new firmware.

    • @abhilash71294
      @abhilash71294 2 месяца назад

      @@ElectronicsComputers this laptop doesn't have CMOS battery (e.g. CR2032). I want to add a CMOS Battery in this motherboard.

    • @ElectronicsComputers
      @ElectronicsComputers  Месяц назад

      @@abhilash71294 The BIOS chip in modern laptops is usually powered by the main battery. Adding a separate battery for the BIOS can be a bit tricky. There are two types of BIOS chips: those operating at 1.8V and those at 3.3V. If your BIOS chip requires 1.8V, you'll need to include a power management stage with the battery. For a 3.3V chip, you can solder a battery directly to the power terminals of the BIOS chip through a diode. However, if your main laptop battery is dead, it’s often easier and cheaper to replace it with even a non-original battery, which you can get for around $20.

    Дизлайк, потому что АКБ не отсоединил, перед отсоединением шлейфа матрицы от платы, каким бы аккуратным ты не был в этом действии, надо отключать АКБ в самом начале манипуляций с материнкой, а подключать аккумуляторную батарею в самом конце, когда все шлейфы подключены.
    Dislike, because the battery was not disconnected, before disconnecting the matrix cable from the board, no matter how careful you are in this action, you must disconnect the battery at the very beginning of manipulating the motherboard, and connect the battery at the very end, when all the cables are connected.

      My bad! When I do the same work on my repair shop, I always disconnect the power/battery first. But when you shoot a video it's kind of hard to concentrate on your work.
