I was at the game..the kid ran away from everyone,,,he had some good runs at RB too, He didn't run away from contact either. He's gonna be a rock star....
DJ Monroe please don't throw your talent away. You are representing the University of Texas, there's something to be said for that.

@bluejaymen yeah he ran 90 yards in nine seconds thats on the game clock..its not sped up but 90 yards is not the same as 90 meters if your talkin about usain bolt bolt ran 9.38 hundred meters so its way different than a 9 second 90 yards

Looked like he caught the ball right at 10:05 and got to the endzone right about 9:55 after letting up some. You an clearly tell this video is not sped up. Quit hating and accept the fact that this kid is crazy fast.

@bluejaymen If the video was sped up, dont you think the announcers audio would be sped up as well? The kids just that fast.
I also thought it was sped up, but then I focused on all the other players on the field, who looked like they were going at ordinary speed.
@bluejaymen it actually took him 10.43 seconds from the time he caught the ball and crossed the goal line.

if u watch the clock it is clearly 11 seconds from the time he touches it to the time he crossed the line

it has not been sped up. i was there, DJ is one of the two fastest guys on the team, along with Marquise Goodwin.

@bluejaymen I see 90 in 10 seconds, but 90 in 9 would not be surprising. Watch the in game clock. 9-10 seconds of game time.

This is not sped up. His burst when hits around the 26-27 yl @ 0:11 is ridiculous so it's easy to see why someone would think so. Kid's just freakishly fast.

@bluejaymen comparing track speed and football speed is stupid period. im not going to scroll down and read every post to see who ur responding to but never compare the 2, its rare to find a track star run football fast, track runners just run ina straight line with nothing to think about except run fast as you can, there are many factors a football player has to think about and play in he just cant run straight fast as he can. so if u meant to compare someone clarify a lil more just saying

@bluejaymen 90 yards in 9 seconds isn't that hard. Meters is what Bolt ran in, and 100 meters is about 110 yards. This guy effectively would've ran 100m in 11 seconds, with football pads and holding onto the football. He's a 100m champion, so I'm deducing that his normal 100m time is in the low 10s, around 10.15 or 10.20, which would even out perfectly to 11 seconds. There you go :D.
And for the record, I'm not a Texas fan. My team beat Texas two years ago to hoist the Crystal Football.

I live in Texas I understand 4A and 5A. 4A and 5A classifications are based on enrollment numbers moron not on an individual's athletic ability! Once again, this video was not sped up.
