I made one hidden Blade with standard electronic springs years ago, the release method was an analog grip that released the blades after being compressed by the springs. It was around 4-5 inch blade and it was silent. But it actually was like half of the size of these.
Its a matter of physics and gravity that would truly make it function as purposed, equipping artificial functions outside of the already occuring mechanisms that lock it in place and release it feels cheap and overexerting for what it could be
Crazy story. I had a working hidden blade model in my luggage that I knew I couldn’t have as a carry-on. I tried telling the guy at the front desk but he was too lazy to check it and told me it would be fine. So I get to TSA and they saw it and I had to be escorted out. They brought me back to the first desk and the guy was acting as if I never told him and said I would have to wait for the next check in time. TSA was cool about it bc I told them before it would get scanned and they said I did the right thing. Even the officer that escorted me said me the guy was just lazy and that it wasn’t my fault. Even with all of that, I was still mailed a warning that I got my first strike and two more would get me on the no-fly list. That guy was a fucking ass
This is beautiful- I've been planning to build a prototype of a similar design over the past year, and I'm glad someone else realized the potential of a covert ring button too!

Bro it doesn’t have to be that much there’s much that made the same easier to craft, cheaper and and more realistic for an assassin but what you did still impressive anyways
Actually, it seems like it would have less stability issues due to the system used. Being pushed by a spring means you wouldn't be able to actually stab anything cause it would push the blade back in.
@@pulatelephonicsthere wouldn't be a chance of a spring failing, true, but now you have to worry about an entire electrical system failing, as well as issues with the giant metal backpack and the fact that after enough time, you have to swap out your CO2 cannisters. the more parts you add, the more parts risk breaking. if you wanted to use compressed air to extend the blade, you could probably get away with ditching the backpack by using smaller air cannisters either mounted to the wrist or somewhere up your arm. you'd need to swap them out more often, and it wouldn't avoid any of the problems that come with the backpack aside from the obvious one. I feel like a mechanical system that uses a lubricated blade and a locking mechanism to keep it from retracting would be the "stealthiest" option with the least risk of failure, but even that kinda sucks

I’m unironically scared of waving or giving someone a fistbump with that and the blade just comes out
This reminded me how much I want a completely modern or futureistic, future would have something like a to e machine so you actually go there, and you are as strong because you have some sort of cybernetic
"Oh, it's not like nobody examines me and I don't have any problems carrying around unnecessary ballast when climbing."

Nawww, grandpa hooked up his O2 cylinder, now he is the most stealthy assassin in the retirement village.

I'll put this on my list of things I wouldn't want to explain to the E.R. nurse.
"One button on the inside of a ring"

Wait till you find out why assassins have 4 fingers 💀
The hidden blades came out after unlocking the latch and slid down the rail. When pulled out, they got stuck. They could be hidden by unlocking the latch again. Everything worked efficiently and smoothly, so light hand movements were enough to activate the centrifugal force.
I just love that assassins from medival times had these kind of hydraulic powered gear
ruclips.net/video/j2bu_NSN7b8/видео.htmlsi=QXbP58nFECKROuLk
Na they used magnets. Much more advanced then this rig😂
Absolutely! You just need to make sure to remember to stand directly under the waterfall with the backpack unzipped to allow waterwheel to fully power up your blade system. Medieval hydraulics!

Dude needs a whole computer system to stab someone 😂
Still crazy efficient.
@@LegocatshouseIn what way?😂😂 Just get an icepick put poison on it and stab someone now that's crazy efficient.
@@x0Fang0x It's a good stealth weapon. You enter a crowd empty handed, pretend to bump into your target. Stab, retract, walk off.
No one would be wiser. Who cares if it's heavy, the bag can be disguised.
Dude it's just a project. Not everything needs to be practical. Sometimes people just make things for fun.
@@originalname4701 I know man it’s just a joke
I made one hidden Blade with standard electronic springs years ago, the release method was an analog grip that released the blades after being compressed by the springs. It was around 4-5 inch blade and it was silent. But it actually was like half of the size of these.
Cool story bro, upload video please
You should make arm bracers that look like that cage around your arm, basically exactly what you’ve created just without the blade mechanism
Really cool. Love the effort you put into it. It shows.
"In conclusion, I'm on the no-fly list. They said I was too powerful"
Would be a cool failsafe to put a limit switch on the top of your gauntlets so the blades can't accidentally shoot through your palms.
but what if you want to extend them into someone elses palms? that failsafe would then act as a hinderance
Its a matter of physics and gravity that would truly make it function as purposed, equipping artificial functions outside of the already occuring mechanisms that lock it in place and release it feels cheap and overexerting for what it could be
When the TSA officer asks what the bulge on your arm is
Crazy story.
@@Yajseydid you try appeal the warning? Considering they f-up
@@ITzPeter100 I couldn’t find a way to contact TSA at the time. This was last year. Part of me hopes I still can
An air compressor is not more efficient than a spring system, especially for someone that needs to be nimble and climb lol. Very cool build tho
On one hand this is amazing. On the other hand this is terrifying. I love it.
Goddamn 😮 I love it ❤
its amazing to see that people could have made these back in the old days with very little tech

This is beautiful- I've been planning to build a prototype of a similar design over the past year, and I'm glad someone else realized the potential of a covert ring button too!
I wonder what the hidden blade from "Marathon Man" would look like today 😆. "Is it safe??"
I think the fundamental idea of putting jutting knives near your wrists has always put up red flags in my mind.
Your entire wrist is covered tho. It always made me think it it would take the tip of your middle finger off if you weren't careful
@@TRIIGGAVELLI is that a reference to assassin period before Ezio?
@@TRIIGGAVELLI thats why before they were updated, older assassins like ezio had one of their fingers removed

Note to self:
You need this to fight zombies while looking bad ass
Yes, you would look so badass while literally sticking your arms into a zombie while simultaneously opening up and exposing your shoulders and head to a zombie bite.
Absolutely not 😮 I don't want a zombie bite my hands. I would rather use a katana or a Tomahawk for melee.
Bro it doesn’t have to be that much there’s much that made the same easier to craft, cheaper and and more realistic for an assassin but what you did still impressive anyways
Id suggest using a matte finish. In Oliver Bowdens book for ac2 Leo says that it would be better because otherwise it would reflect light.
That Leonardo da Vinci was a clever guy, huh?
the sound that comes out is very satisfying
Ah yes the finger remover 9000
This is the connect I was searching for
Batman pov: Hmmmmm, yes, that's a good tool for GTHAM
“Instead of making this functional I made it needlessly complex”
@@siriuslywastaken thank you, that pretty much sums up what I meant, obviously there are flaws with really any design but the list of things that goes wrong increases from
- blade locking mechanism
- spring
- blade release mechanism
To
- ring button
- release signal receiver in backpack
- Electrical system in backpack
- air system/tubes
- air canisters
- blade release
- blade locking mechanism
@@pulatelephonics That's not how that works at all. When the blade is extended it's locked in place.
You actually think he’s gonna use it for assassinations?
it actually makes sense now, so you can parkour without accidentally activating the blades. It comes out smoothly like in the video games too
Witch explosives on your back
Now your ring finger is required for sacrifice

as cool as the mechanism behind this sounds… i feel like having it just be spring loaded would just be way more effective in just about every way lol
