I don't know why they couldn't use the sentinel name and they only called him giant robot. I though it was because it belongs to X-Men and they may had problems with the rights, but then Jugernaut appear and they named him without problems...
It probably comes down to timing and publisher. The X-Men arcade game was out at the same time, would have used the licence for the sentinel, and was published by a different company. Not saying that’s for sure the reason, just a guess.

Juggernaut's head resembles those Zaku units in Gundam series 🤣 My 5 yr old son and I play this on a Genesis clone console and we can only get up until the Mandarin and all the credits are used.. damn hard
I'm guessing they ran out of ideas for villains and just made a random robot Juggernauts colors and called him Juggernaut. Really he's the only one who doesn't fit in with the game, well aside from 2 Controllers.
The SNES port of this really sucked. They gave the enemies invincibility after a single hit, which meant no combos. You had to punch and move or else you'd get hit right back.

Didn't the shield throw and bash cost health in the original arcade game? I seem to recall special moves costing some of your health so you couldn't use them too often and spent more quarters. Just curious, great vid.
This game is not bad, but I think it would have been much better if they made it like streets of rage such as more characters to fight and more background levels/stages. Game is kind of short if you ask me!
Fun fact the person saying avengers assemble in the beginning is wonder man and they made fun of him about it since its his only appearance in game lmao
What a dirty game. When the boss is about to die, the last bit of life takes forever to wear down. I know what the player would do. They'd charge in fists flying because they'd think: "Oh, just another hit or two and this boss is toast." Then he ends up killing them to cheat out another quarter.

I think it's supposed to be a Kree sentry. They were a problem in the early Captain Mar-vel stuff.
