Just got a threaded barrel for my Shadow 2 Kadet kit. Shoots like a dream. I had to put the full power hammer spring back in to reliably set off 22, but other than that it's great. Shoots great suppressed as well.
Are you using the stock main spring in your frame? If you have a lighter spring, you may try switching back to the stock spring. I've heard that's solved the light strikes for others.
@@evnrayash that's the recoil spring you're talking about. I had the best results using the standard recoil spring that comes with the kit and using a much stiffer (above 16 lbs) main (hammer) spring. so go change your main spring to above 16 lbs and it'll have close to no light strikes (hammer falls, but no ignition) anymore. ps: that way it does even work with the SA-version, although cz asserts it won't
@@NickShootsStuff Good to hear you got it working with a heavier main spring. I got my Kadet conversion a few weeks ago, but haven’t shot it yet. I’ve got a few main springs to try if I it’s not reliable with my stock spring.
I finally took my Kadet conversion to the range today. On my completely stock CZ Shadow 2, it functioned flawlessly with the 100 rounds of 10-year-old Blazer I put through it. I did have to do some minor fitting of the Kadet slide to my Shadow 2 frame with a file, which was done before I took it to the range. I just slowly removed material from the slide until it operated without resistance. I'm very happy with it!
Hey boss, I am thinking of getting one of these, could you kindly advise which Dawson front sight “height” you got on yours? So I have something to begin with.. thanks !
hi i need to change my front sight as well, is there a specific front site for the kit or will the 9mm slide sight fit too? thanks and great vid. i use cci standard zero failures so far in 16 comps. mine is shooting high, i need to aim about 5 inches low to hit
What trigger shoe do you have on your Shadow 2? Do you like it? I have an Orange, but I'd like to find a good flat trigger. Thanks in advance, brother. Really enjoy your videos!
@@evnrayash The flat trigger from the SAO? The Orange that I have came with the curved trigger and while it works, I'd prefer a flat trigger and yours looks nice! Thanks again!
It has a plastic tip (where the front sight is attached to) at the end of the barrel that needs to be inside the longer Frame of SP01. Otherwise the tip spins around little bit along w the front sight.
@@rongarritsen6793 When you buy the kit it comes with 3 different color recoil springs. Red is for higher velocity. Black is for standard velocity. Blue is for lower velocity.
Also pay attention to the main spring. I got my Shadow 2 with a trigger job, and that meant the original main spring was replaced by a lighter version. Had at least one failure to load on each mag - would have to hit the back of the slide lightly to make the round chamber completely. After I swapped back to the original main spring - not one misfire :-)

Had the same issue with the p07 kadet with the standard hammer spring it’s awesome go lighter and u will have issues
id like to try one of those out
Use only High velocity 40g premium ammo for best reliable shooting ⚠️
Excellent CZ quality 👍
CGW has an extended firing pin and weaker firing pin springs, might help?
Thanks for the info!

the Kadet comes with its own spring. assume its lighter for .22

I've had to up the hammer spring to 20# to get reliable ignition with CCI Minimag

I think I've solved the mystery of where all the mags for these kits are.... How much would you charge to make another one of those holsters?

i think i used their calculator to figure out which to order

not sure. Dawson precision sells a sight specifically for the kadet

its the standard flat trigger. nothing special

İs it single action?
Where can i find a shadow 2 kadet? been looking everywhere and nothing...
Available at grabagun
So will this work on a P-01? If not, is it a slide issue? Or just a mag issue?
i dont think it will work

Cheap ammo almost never works in autos. The front sight and 10 rd capacity are legitimate concerns
disagree. i have 100,000s of rounds of cheap bulk ammo thru 12+ 22s.
Will this fit on the shadow 2 compact frame?
No only full sized
@@av7899 Thsnk you! Couldn't this answer anywhere.
No way I am buying a conversion kit.
Waist of money, Only 10 round mags and ammo sensitive
Banged out 1000s of rounds with the odd expected rimfire issues. Choose the correct springs for the ammo you're using and you're golden.
@@venomfang8560which ammo which spring.. please elaborate
