Carbureted engines require a good supply of fuel and have to be versatile and able to handle moisture, especially in regions with major temperature changes happen quick and condensation forms
This causes reactions with the metals of the carburetor to form gum or varnish inside the carburetor bowl
Condensation that is formed inside a partially empty fuel tank on a machine or sitting on the floor in your garage will always gather at the bottom and may only cause you issues once you get to that portion of the fuel even if fresh fuel is added
Phase separation of ethanol blended pump fuels happens sometimes soon as 30-60 days from when it is bought at the pump (depends on the additives)
Fuel separates out along with an alcohol/water/methanol mix from this condensation and gathers at the bottom of the tank/container
We search for a solution to the problem by keeping the moisture suspended, eliminating the issue completely
We (along with others) have shown traditional treatments do not work
This fuel blends in a fuel injected engine and burns off fine (mostly) in most cases but in a carbureted system it does not work like that.
We test fuel treatment and additives Phaser 3000, Formula X 2 and K 100
We use phase separated fuel from prior equipment to test the ability of these treatments to reverse this separation and let the water form back in
This video shows you if these treatments remove and fix water or separated ethanol from gas with a fuel treatment / additive
Even larger, fuel injected equipment or vehicles can become victim to these bad gas issues.
We do these tests and see which treatments work and which do not hold up and use food coloring to show water separation and test run fuel solution
    Which ones will work?
We do a full fuel test on these different treatments and show what it takes with different phase separated and ethanol free fuels how they do to reverse the phase separation as they claim to.
Use the results to come to your own conclusion!
You can purchase Phaser 3000 at amzn.to/3SdgEfx
You can purchase K-100 at amzn.to/3U8veb1
You can purchase Formula X-2 at amzn.to/3Obbboj
Ethanol free fuel is the best thing to run in any small engine and I would never recommend anything other than this
We recommend Aspen fuel for canned fuel
2-Butoxyethanol is used in many household products including Windex and other solvents
You can purchase 1000ml of it on Amazon at amzn.to/4bPHe7M or a gallon at amzn.to/42DUZ5h
It is starting to sound like even the treatments that work to combat water in the fuel are just cheap solvents that are marketed to perform a reversal that the solvent could do itself?
Use ethanol free treated fuel with something that combats the water or a canned fuel for best results.
We have used Phaser 3000 for quite a few years and haven't seen fuel/equipment come back we have put our ethanol free fuel and treatment in.
This test changes our view of it completely!
We get ethanol free fuel from standalone pumps locally and it is clear, good fuel

how many ounces of 2-butoxyethenol per gallon of fuel?

To treat fuel Phaser recommends 1 oz for every 4 gallons of fuel (1/4 oz per gallon). We dose ours just a little higher than that at 1.5oz per 5 gallons (.3 oz per gallon). The phase separation dosage rate we found that worked was 20oz/gallon at a 5% saturation. Thanks for watching!
