      juno is exciting and fun in my opinion . theres finally another hero with speed that isn’t lucio so now I can heal my teammates while speeding them in and out of fights . top tier hero design , just enough mobility without it being a freebie getaway like fade or teleport .

      I like her so far, I didn't know her lock on missles tracked you behind cover so that scares me a bit so i haver to respect her. On a side note, I got outside for the first time in six months to jog and it felt nice.

      Feels really bad into some heroes, like ashe. She is fun to play,but the reduced fire rate may have been too much.

    I love how their way of balancing and buffing Hanzo is making everybody weaker and actually making hitscans more effective 😂

      What buff? They didnt buff him. The nerfed him again. It takes 3 body shots to kill, his ult is the worst in the game, he cant one shot unlike Widow who is a hitscan sniper. And he lost health. Because they want to compensate for the health nerfs on certain mobile heroes? Utterly retarded. Fire Josh Noh

    I really dislike the Sombra changes for a number of reasons, as a Sombra main.
    First off, any change to Virus that promotes the Hack > Virus combo for the crit damage on impact is bad. People hate being hacked. The less reasons she has to do it, the better, and the more they decouple hack from her damage the better he experience for other players.
    Then, the HP nerf.... Sombra has good mobility, but it's not combat mobility. Translocator is almost never a mid combat tool, so nerfing her HP hurts her pretty bad because she has no ways to counterbalance it. My biggest problem with these changes is that they only polarize her even more: all her good match ups become better bc of the Virus damage and bc a lot of those heroes got hit by the 225 HP change, but all her bad match-ups got worse because she's squishier. Her interactions with Kiriko and Hanzo had been in a decent spot for a long time, but now Kiriki is back to two-tap territory and Hanzo can log her again.
    I'd gladly trade the virus and speed buff away for the 250 HP. The lower health pool just makes her gameplan more and more and more simplistic.

      Well said, I think that's a common theme across a number of changes they've made within the last few seasons.
      Making characters more polarizing: better against their good matchups, worse against their bad matchups. It just incentivizes counterswapping even more.

      What do you mean translocator isnt a "mid combat tool"? You engage, shoot the enemy and at some point you yeet translocator MID COMBAT to escape,reposition, or dodge cd's. Not sure what youre trying to say.

      ​@@baileyskatesI think you just fundamentally misunderstood what they meant by "mid-fight mobility". When Sombra translocates out, she's ended her engage. And if she translocates deeper to secure a kill, that kill ends her fight. For example, genji has a ton of mid-fight mobility because he can use his mobility in the middle of his fight and continue fighting after

      ​@@thefatefish Plus TL has a travel delay. It's not immediate like Tracer Blink/recall or Genji Dash, it's in many ways closer to (but not as bad as) Shadow Step. It's versatile in where you can go, but janky in function.
      Tracer gets three blinks and recall. Genji gets dash, double jump, wall climb (and deflect as a defensive cd). Both heroes innately move faster.
      Sombra has only one cd to escape and her entire mobility advantage gets cancelled by taking damage.

    Yeah playing against a sombra has become incredibly annoying. There is almost never one out of the gate, but rest assured if you pop off in any way, there will be one next team fight. All that person has to do is stand around in your back line and wait for someone to take a hit, and she gets a free kill most of the time. Or if you're a good tank, she'll just hack you endlessly.

      One of my least favorite parts about OW2 is that it feels like sombra’s pick rate is through the roof. Idek if it’s true, but sombra feels almost as ubiquitous as mercy now. Sombras in EVERY GAME.

      @@TV-vz7rf Sombra genuinely prevents me from even bothering to fire up the game these days. She was NEVER as ubiquitous in OW1. I only saw her frequently in Temple of Anubis second point while on defence back when she could get ult charge from hacked health packs.
      But as someone with Sigma as their comfort pick, Sombra genuinely ruins the entire game for me and it's not even an exaggeration at this point. Playing against her is consistently infuriating, never fun and always a waste of my time. That character never fails to sour my mood in an instant and the only way to avoid it is to occupy my time with other games instead.
      I'll continue reading OW patch notes but unless Sombra gets gutted I don't see myself getting hooked on OW like I have been in the past.

      The problem is just her kit. No matter how strong or weak, it is just annoying to have your abilities shut down. The new perm invisibility also just negates all FPS basics. There is no way to know when she is coming beyond ignoring everything and shooting randomly. Just way too easy to get consistent well timed value with no risk

    That sombra change in particular is going to turn away soooo many casuals. With so many supports seeing their health pool decreased, it’s an even more egregious buff to the area of her kit that a player feels the least amount of “play around” towards. I hope we see an insta patch to that ASAP, otherwise casuals are going to just continue to turn away from this game. Everything else has felt very… meh after a few hours of playing.

      @@cassiusjoe4907 Had a match yesterday where we were getting destroyed by Sombra so I made it my mission to constantly keep an eye out for her and keep her from killing the supports. My team was equally as frustrated by Sombra, but despite this, they didn't help whatsoever in combatting our Sombra problem. We evened things out in second round push, even getting a faster time than they did, but then the final two rounds came along and they had someone actually helping the Sombra dive. I couldn't handle it without help and especially on Gibraltar Sombra has too many damn places to hide and they almost took the payload to the end whereas we just kind of consistently lost our supports to Sombra while they were too busy healing the tank to shoot the Sombra or heal the person trying to protect them from the Sombra.
      Maybe I'm just too low rank, or maybe the new placements messed up some people's ranking, but that was one of the least fun matches of Overwatch I've played in years.

      I mean since the various hero changes and health changes the difference between 30% and 25% is almost negligible. Hell the health changes did more to address damage boost issues than the reduction to 25%. (like for instance the old Hanzo/Widow bodyshot on Tracer was still possible with 25% when her health was 150)
      Pretty sure the only breakpoint that changes with this buff is Ram Punch can now 3 shot 250 heroes. Almost everything else stayed the same.

    I used to think Widowmaker was my most hated hero, but it’s actually Sombra. I’m so tired of playing against an invisible character that gets to decide when I fight her, disable my abilities, and get a free burst of damage to start off the fight in her favor.
    She’s a constant pick in most of my games and I do not care what any pro or high level player says, she’s annoying af to play against and extremely oppressive unless the team coordinates to mitigate her impact (this is not going to happen in 90% of games).
    I don’t like complaining about balance as I’ve grown tired of repeating the same things over and over but this character is single handedly ruining the game for me, just a straight up ass-hole character to play against.

      Widow actually takes skill, Sombra doesn't. She is a braindead crutch and/or counter option. Pairing her up with Dva makes the game unplayable. There is nothing you can do. Nothing at all.

      @@whambulance8607ok I agree with the first take that sombra isn’t very casual friendly, but no… sombra is very obviously a harder character that widow.
      Widow is not a “hard” OW hero whatsoever and doesn’t really require much OW skill in the first place, you play any fps game and you can play her.
      Not only that, but sombra is a hard hero. She just so happens to be good against lower skilled players. That’s more a show of their skills and not the hero they are playing against.
      Either way, she probably shouldn’t remain a noob stomper hero for very long.

      Yeah never thought I would be playing valorant. But the sombras I've been facing is the main reason why I haven't been playing overwatch fr. Then they talk so much crap in the chat too that really makes it unbearable. So I just play something else fr.

    Personally ive been an advocator of changing the way sombras hack can affect togglable abilities
    its frustrating to be completely countered because sombra can literally just undo and prevent your ball mode, or ramattras block, or pharah flight
    instead of forcing the character out of that state, keep it locked. Pharahs forced to burn out her fuel so thats an interesting way to keep it still viable, Ball is locked into his ball so he cant go tank form to do damage and cant really get out of there because hack still effects his grapple and other moves, ramattra block im not sure tho
    Tho i am aware this could probably lead to other issues surrounding ball becoming rampant and actually becoming meta perhaps

      ball can have all his buffs reverted if you are concerned about a ball meta lol, let ball stay in ball form when cced so he doesnt need his 500hp overhealth+800hp base anymore

      I’ve always felt that the season 9 changes ruined lucio’s dueling. This is basically a revert back to pre-season 9 breakpoints for lucio, which is great.

      @@Napp_ it’s in some creators best interest to react positively to patches, its opposite for others. The problem is how much the Overwatch team has let down their core audience and never addressed pain points and problematic hero design. So more and more people are thinking negatively about Overwatch, now it’s not just the general gaming, space it’s a majority of core Overwatch fans that are upset with Overwatch.

    I REALLY hate the torb change. I wish that PASSIVE armor buff he got, went back into his E. It'd literally be the same change, but instead of passive value EVERY player gets.. Which torb doesn't need more of.. Hed have a dueling decision to make. In overwatch 1 in masters, i genuinely picked torb into cass since cass gets to 2 shot most heroes in the blink of an eye. Torb would be great to duel him. If i got the timing down to activate my extra armor right as all my nornal armor was shot off, id have a chance to win. But now? Derrr just only win if the enemy is stupid and sticks around not calculating for the armor you always have. I love torb's aim style and dueling vs hitscan but changes like this tells me they want the torb players to hate blizzard, and they also want everyone facing torb to hate blizzard. So much passive value just goes around this balance team...

    So not a Mercy main by any means, but I used to play her a bit before the GA and super jump changes, the most fun playing her is playing a survival horror game where you are getting chased and have to juke/run and still keep your team alive. Even I have won team fights by avoiding death for 30 solid seconds while the other team dies. Her movement was really fun back then.

    for mercy i think it would be cool to give her season 2 movement back and then put a decay effect on the damage boost so that way u want use it for those burst of value and are punished for sticking with one person for too long and need to switch targets, I also think it would be cool to make rez faster or make it a skill shot or something along those lines but reduce the time mercy has to rez the soul before it dissapears this way if mercy wants a rez she has to predict the rez before the teamate dies to actually get it off

    This patch is a 4/10 for me. They addressed very few of the design issues of each of these characters, didn't touch pylon, nerfed the part of Juno's kit that requires mechanics and buffed the auto lock ability.
    What I find even more infuriating is that even their arguments to justify some of those nerfs are simply wrong and can be easily disproved. They said that Echo "has been a top performing damage hero recently" when in reality her winrate this month has been 50.34% for 1.33% pick rate in GM. Her stats across all ranks are 50.72% for 1.52%. In fact she is in the bottom half of the DPS category in terms of BOTH PICK RATE AND WIN RATE. They claim to base their balancing around stats (which is not always smart), but even their main source of information actually proves their comments to be wrong. This balance team is truly a disgrace.

      ​@@StellaKwon-k2fI gave it 4/10 because some changes like Junkrat, Sojourn and Lifeweaver were undeniably good from a design point of view. Even most of the Juno changes (including quality of life etc) were good if only they didn't nerf her left click only to buff her right click, taking power away from what takes skill and shifting it to the auto aim ability.
      However the rest of the changes go from mediocre to complete garbage.

    I honestly think the new direction of making highly mobile heroes, ESPECIALLY SUPPORTS, having 225 instead of 250 will be immensely healthy. Though the highly mobile supports tend to be the healthier ones for the game (thinking lucio and likely juno), I think the distinction is great. Im worried about the return of 2shot on kiriko, but yeah B is fair.

    here's a wild idea for Sobra change, although a pointless once since they reworked her just recently...
    There's this charcter in Dirty Bomb called Phantom, his shtick is that he can cloak himself with partial invisibility cloak. The partial invis lasts like 10 seconds, it gets more invisivble if moving slow or stationary, emits a humming sound, and most importantly gives him some overhealth. If he shoots the invis cancels and overhealth disappears. I think it would be interesting if sombra has some of those elements, especially the overhealth thingy since it could be used dynamically for closing in on enemies or disengaging. Partial invis or sound effects could be tinkered with too, although it could be an accessibility issue and is tough to balance. With that she would be more suited for direct combat and you could ditch the perma invis and translocator that's so annyoing

    Bc Tanks are so resistant I was convinced some overall DMG output decrease was incoming!

      Dont think its moved the needle much on genji at all and Hanzo is arguably worse because they changed him to only be "passable" in certain scenarios against certain people. Those people hes better against being heroes that are not the easiest to shoot in the first place. Now he just needs to land one headshot but they also dont need to land much on him to kill him now.

    A cool change for sombra could be to put invis on something like a 12-second cooldown and make it last for 10 seconds and make it so when you get a kill the cooldown of invis gets reduced by 6 seconds. They could do that or rework hack if they do one or the other i think she'd be fine

    Having played for a a bit I think you're the only content creator I've seen calling everything fairly and pretty accurately... Especially the Sombra changes. She's not fun to play against right now.

    I agree that the way the changes encourage her to hide isn't great more but reality is... she's just really fun when she's moving. I think a lot of Mercy enjoyers would be happy to see her kit be given more depth, and for her to be more skill intensive so long as she kept what makes her so fun: her mobility. Drop res, and give her an ability that gives us back the moth meta movement... totally not biased

    I'm really enjoying Juno, I play her a lot like wifeleaver as I mostly sit back and heal, and can do a lot of work with a well-timed torpedo volley. I think she's one of the most balanced heroes on release, and I'm excited to play her more!

    I think your reading of the changes presented here would be better if you remember that the overarching theme is a general increase in lethality for everyone.
    The Torb changes are a response to Tracer's indirect buff. Torbs are used to counter Tracers and Sombras. Making him tankier is a compensatory balance nerf to the cute lil flankers that are gonna be hunting 225 squishies.
    So this patch isn't really oriented around changing character identity, rather almost all of it is oriented around a brand new damage/health sandbox.
    On that note I wouldn't be surprised to see Tracer eat a nerf really soon. She stayed the same while a huge cross section of powerful heroes got brought into very easy one-clip range.

    I very much dislike Zarya's change. Not cause she didnt need buffs, but because i wanna value her tracking more than her right clicks. Her right clicks already felt stronger than the left click. Theres just not a lot of mid-long range tracking options, and in overwatch i kinda expect them... I wish right click got more self boop for more mobility whilst left click was the stronger damaging tool. I think itd be super fun if her right clicks were like a 3rd of junkrat's mine on himself.

      And yes I know soldier exists but the 18 second HEAL doesn't feel good at all vs let's say, ashe with dynamite and coach gun. But let's think about the other tracking options on tank... Ramattra? No, he does 2 DMG after 10 minutes with that thing. DVa? Mauga? They're point blank, I could just play tracer or Sombra. I want ranged tracking to come back somehow... They refuse to let soldier be strong tho and everyone else doesn't count. And zarya is a right click spammer she tracks as an extra it feels like. Maybe soj?

      Her burst damage is roughly same as it was from 2018 to 2024 of both OW1 and OW2.
      7 damage missiles (3 direct, 4 splash) *18 missiles in total + 30 melee + 15 (10 in OW1) booster damage = 171
      171/200 health = 85.5% damage relative to total health
      8.5 damage missiles (3 direct 5.5 splash) * 18 missiles in total + 40 melee + 25 booster damage = 218
      218/250 health = 87.2% damage relative to total health. If you want to get hyper technical and they really wanted to make it comparable to previous burst damage then Booster Damage should be 21 I guess (214/250=85.6%)
      But even then you had 29 health left for the 2*11 damage primary fire to get through before S9 and 32 health left for 2*11 damage primary fire to get through since S11
      She was just much weaker in S9 and S10, so they buffed her...by making her the same thing she used to be.

      @@ellibean321 Perfectly agreed. She shouldn't be able to burst down a squishy ALL BY HERSELF. She does that pretty consistently all alone. With damage from her teammates and any boost applied she can melt anybody in SPLIT SECONDS. No character should be able to just see someone below 70% and go "Poof, they're gone now", back to protect the team for 3 secs before I go do that again. Rinse and repeat until the team dies in seconds.

    I personally think they should turn sombra into an assassin. Completely remove hack and make invis not permanent. Give her an assassin Ike playstyle that is super squishy 200hp but super lethal so she is easier to spot and kill but if you don’t see her she can kill you.

    The Sombra change simply isn't it. I don't even think we need to remove perma invis, but she must not be able to pefectly pick and choose every engagemwent she takes.
    The 20m detection range from a hacked mode was pretty decent of an idea to work with. They should consider going into that direction instead.
    I honestly do not care if virus becomes better so long as sombra cannot freely pick her fights anymore - like every other hero.

    14:40 This Sombra buff (yes it's a buff despite the health change) is 99% of the reason I'm skipping out on this season. My two most beloved heroes to play, Sigma and Zen, both get completely and utterly annihilated by Sombra. Her increasing prevalence in matches has been driving me further away from the game ever since her rework. I have other heroes I can also play but I hate being forced out of my absolute favorite heroes just because Sombra exists in the game. She's overtaken Widow as the #1 worst hero to play against in the entire game by an extremely large margin.
    One of the worst feelings when I play OW is having to hold ult with Sigma until the heat death of the universe just because a Sombra exists on the enemy team. And if I hold ult until Sombra dies, the team fight might be over by that point. Looking out for cooldowns like punch, sleep, javelin, rock etc. is fun because I can actually dodge or anticipate them intuitively, and I don't feel frustrated if I get outplayed by those abilities. But an ulta fast cockroach Sombra is going to be able to get in position to hack me out of ult 99% of the time and that it is insanely infuriating. Sombra can also easily hack you out of grasp and Sigma's primary fire is really badly suited for "spy checking" her. And with this movement buff, spy checking is less advantageous because she'll be able to scurry away to a health pack and come back much quicker than before this patch.
    And then there's Zen, my absolute staple hero from OW1 days. IMO he doesn't get dumped on by Sombra as hard as Sigma but he just disintegrates to EMP, and you have to put in 10x the effort to win the 1v1 compared to Sombra spraying her SMG and tossing virus towards an enormous hitbox hero. I do not play at high enough ranks where people will consistently have the awareness to peel before I die to a Sombra no matter my positioning.
    This hero is of course not omnipotent and can be beaten. The most important thing is that any match she's in has all the fun sucked out of it. Sombra and Widowmaker are the two heroes that ruin matches and always make the match a chore to play at best, and hopelessly frustrating at worst. Even Mei is more tolerable to play against than Sombra, at least I can try and predict her ult and eat it with grasp. I've done it a few times and it feels insanely satisfying to pull off.
    I have so many other games to occupy my time with that the thought of even a slim chance of facing Sombra in OW makes me not want to fire up the game in the first place.

    Sojourn's rails have never been the problem, mercy damage boost is. 195 dmg rail headshots would be perfectly fine in current overwatch if dmg boost didn't exist. Having a basic ability that can change breakpoints with 100% uptime is so incredibly bad for the overall balance of overwatch it rly needs to be reworked into something else.

    sombras not good enough to remove infinite stealth. even last patch she wasnt top tier. this doesnt make her top tier either. shes always gonna float around b tier (just as an example) and trust me you dont want her to have more damage on primary fire or else shes going to be too strong on correct engagements. every character has unfair things about them and shes not breaking games.
    She also has the dilema where you cant do too much with her or else it would be too drastic in either direction, like tracer.
    Reduce size of translocator hitbox, it collides too easily with architecture too often

    I’m not getting Kiriko’s change. They just made her damage input better, no? 45 damage body shot times 2,5 is 112 damage headshot, and 60 damage body shot times 2 is 120 damage headshot.
    The multiplier is gone, but… she’s more of a dps now than before. Isn’t it bad for the character?

    I'm sorry but how can we like the Kiri change?? She does way more base damage per kunai, and her peak crit damage is also higher than previously.
    Before she did 45dmg x 2.5 = 112.5
    Now she does 60dmg x 2 = 120
    Either way Kiri two-taps are back regardless, she does more raw damage overall from Kunai spam even if she hits body shots only, but also if its crit shots. Body+crit before was 157.5, now it's 180. Thats a MASSIVE buff and the recovery time does basically nothing except probably just help players not reload as often and gain a passive benefit to their accuracy, slightly. She also now kills squishies in 4 body shots flat, whereas before this change she'd need 6. MASSIVE break point changes overall.... actually just became an all out dps character now.
    You're actually rewarded more for spam now because it's much more consistently going to lead to elims cus even with body shots you deal so much damage now, and crits still deal more damage than before the patch. Your potential benefit from spam is much higher cus you only need to hit 4 generic shots on a target compared to 6 before so the investment is much smaller and consistent reward from spam will go through the roof.
    Kiri didn't need raw damage buffs and nothing else.... These changes need to be reverted or she needs to get equal nerfs to her mobility -like TP requiring LOS or Suzu not being a damage immo on top of cc immo.

    I was literally just learning to play Echo then got hit with a HP nerf. It honestly feels like she has no HP to do what she was good- Trades. That feels nigh impossible due to how strong hitscan is and her big hitbox.
    I thought hutscan dominated last season but they'll definitely destroy now. Ashe, McCree, 76 as far as the eye can see. On top of that they buffed Sombra 😭. I wanted her HP to get nerfed but not all of that

      Echo is technically good but feels awful because hitscan is so insane that she’s just not worth it.     I honestly felt like they were going to nerf Juno's primary. IMO it felt easy to do a lot of healing and damage without much effort. As Spilo said, Moira is the best example of why stats dont really matter, but remember Moira has life steal from her autolock, so she conflates her healing and damage, especially with the "skill" orb. Juno doesn't have those mechanics. And, she is the only hitscan healer that can heal from all ranges besides ana who has to scope in and make herself vulnerable to do so. Her speed and mobility allow her to access angles and highground to do more damage and healing. Her fire rate might feel sucky rn, but maybe we just need to get used to it?

    A lot of people are flaming the LW changes without valid points. Raising DVA bombs on a petal can still be done. Even before this patch you have to manually activate it by stepping on it, and even then the drop down is after two seconds. In most cases you want to raise the dva bomb at the last second so the enemy team have no time to react. So that argument doesn’t make sense.
    In the case of raising a winston Winston bubble with petal, the time it takes to raise the petal plus the two second fall down time is still a long period where you can get a lot of damage in on a winton, it’s not as much as a nerf as it’s been made out to be. Even then you can get back on the petal at keep the bubble raised.
    Overall it’s a net buff because it provides more operability and strategy for an elevator type system of attack and manoeuvring :)

      Mercy’s problem is she has to healbot right now. The first thing any Mercy main would tell a new player before season 9 is not to be a healbot, and to focus on damage boosting. With the larger health pools and DPS passive though Mercy is forced to healbot most of the game, and if Mercy is healbotting she’s basically worthless compared to any other support since she’s like bottom 3 raw healing wise. No matter how much they buff her numbers on healing or dmg boost the problem will remain that she just doesn’t have the heal output required to keep a team up in modern ow.

    I would have liked to see more hp nerfs. Cassidy, Ashe, Illari, symmetra, venture, reaper, lifeweaver, sojourn, and all tanks could lose 50-100 hp. I’d even be down to see Junkrat, Baptiste, Ana, and zenyatta receive hp nerfs.

    I think the patch is mid a best. The only tank nerf we got was dva, which was the bare minimum. Characters like hanzo will still feel shit to play and I think it was more of a nerf to him as he has bad matchups with 225 hp heroes, where he gained the headshot and worse up against anything else. I think nerfing him to 225, especially with his relatively wide hitbox, is just not very good as he is not very powerful and in most situations it's just better to pick widow. I mean at least they didn't nerf genji (yet)

      @@matheus_brunelli The character's don't have uniform footsteps. Have you ever heard Widow's footsteps? She's supposed to be an eloquent patient ballerina/sniper, and yet she stomps all over the damn place. I don't think Sombra's need to be as loud as Widow's, but given that she's basically sprinting and already has the stealthiness of being completely invisible forever, I don't think slightly louder footsteps for balancing would be the worst idea.
      As a stealthy character, being stealthy should be a large part of your play style and strategy. In her current design, stealth is less a part of her play style and more just something she is given for free. Like I'll play sneaky on Tracer who's okay at that kind of thing, but I have to be super careful the entire time.
      Spy in TF2, you've gotta be really good at using your invisible optimally, disguising quietly and at the right time and avoiding suspicion and spy checks constantly. With 60% invisible movement speed, it almost doesn't matter because they can't see you, can barely hear you, and you're fast enough that you'll soon be somewhere else entirely anyway

    Not the chat 60 damage for Kiriko is too much i can nobody honestly play's Kiriko & saying it should be 55 while the hitscans get's away with murder every patch/mercy damage boost getting buffed is wild.
    I'm sure y'all have way more to worry about than a measly 60-120 damage

    I think overwatch 2 would be a lot better if it found a good baseline. Find a character that is well balanced and balance the rest of the character roughly around their level. Then, have roatating season updates that buff two different comps. Carefully curate a meta where two different playstyle stand out as slightly more powerful. Next season, one or both go back to baseline and two new theoretically fun meta comps get micro buffed for the next season. When a new hero is released, make them a viable member of one of the hypothetical season meta.
    The only problem with this is I honestly don't think they can even approach a baseline without skipping a hero release

      Imo, Rein or Monkey make a lot of sense for tank. DPS: I'm not sure. Support: Lucio or Ana.

    To the comments hating on Samito. I agree he’s babyraging. But that doesn’t invalidate his arguments. He sees the bigger picture, not just the current patch. While it might look good in the short term, it is very much a step backward when you look at the bigger picture.

      How is he looking at the bigger picture when he doesn't have full context. He has no access to the data the higher ups see and bases his own OPINIONS on a part of rank that 99% of players won't see.

      He doesn’t need full context in terms of data, he’s been playing this game since it came out. And being good at the game doesn’t mean he can’t see what players struggle with. He’s very aware of what most others find fun, and not fun about overwatch.
      And Samito is a very passionate person when it comes to this game, more passionate than any player I could name. His rage doesn’t come from a place of hate towards the devs, it comes from his love towards the game, and he doesn’t like seeing it get mistreated by the balance team. He wants the game to be better, and he’s fully justified in being emotionally invested in something he loves doing.

      @orbtalkz No. He is not able to say what is fun for all and does need data. I've played this game since it came out as well, but I don't armchair dev or flame the devs over a change I don't like.
      Why? Because it's irrational and passing it off as passion or a love for the game does not make it acceptable. You can't tell what other people find fun. There is no metric for that full stop. High levels also have hated every meta after a while because it's stagnant.
      They shout that they want high skill heros in the meta. Now we have Winston, Bap, Kiri, Lucio, Illari, Echo, and Tracer topping the charts, but that still isn't acceptable.
      A change applauded by the community at large was the removal of one shot from Hanzo and Junkrat, but he's upset at that saying they lost their identities. Like, what are we talking about here? So now he doesn't know best, and no, he's doesn't speak for the community.
      He's an immature baby who complains when he doesn't get his way turned hypocrite because he flames on stream and then pretends like he's reformed.

    My initial reaction to the Hanzo nerf was that it's awful for a hero already struggling, and the nerfs to HP on other heroes doesn't make up for it.
    My reaction to it after playing several games is still that it's way worse than it is helpful. It's better into very specific scenarios more than I was expecting, but overall I've just been dying way too easily. The fact that Hanzo got the nerf but Genji didn't is also absurd to me.
    Hanzo doesn't have the ability to survive engagements that other HP nerfed heroes have. He already really struggled into even a semi-coordinated dive. I'm not even back up to GM yet (or wherever this new rank distribution lands me) and I'm already noticing my deaths/10 increasing.
    I'm not sure how it will impact him in lower ranks, where comments I've received from other players seems to indicate that he's been possibly the best counter to Winston in the game prior to this - with storm arrow allegedly insta-breaking Winston bubble according to these player... but at least in masters so far he's been frustrating, but still playable.
    I suspect that's partially because a lot of players are trying out Juno and the Hanzo mirror, which I don't think will last when the meta stabilizes. We'll see how it pans out when I'm back up to rank and people figure out the new maps and balance changes, but my reaction is not positive.

      Hanzo is a sniper and the only other sniper in the game is at 200hp.
      He needs something that makes him less spammy and more nuanced, right now noone is happy!

      as someone who picked up hanzo again recently after a couple years he feels a lot worse after the 225hp, he was already such an easy target to dive, echo storm arrows are already better than headshotting, hanzo vs moira feels like the most benefitted matchup now but it almost doesnt feel fair to oneshot her but not an ashe for example idk maybe skill issue

    I wish that they actually took the time to properly scale the different HP levels from season 9. The 300 HP characters got screwed over the most with 200 HP characters (previously 150) got the most. This whole 225 change would be so different if they actually cared about making sensible changes.

    meanwhile playing rein junker winston doomfist ball into sombras, mercy-pocketed hitscans etc. is going to be total cancer for sure.

    Ive been playing Season 12 and holy moly its bad. No close games at all. I either steamroll the enemies or they deatroy us.
    Also this new game mode is ass. I just want 2CP back tbh. I miss those maps.

      Think that’s more because of rank reset than the patch.. give it a day or two
