God, imagine actually BEING there when the intro kicks in at 0.45!!! I'd have wet my pants with excitement! What EXCELLENT music!!! Where's my delorean time machine, man? Take me back to Tokyo in 1988!!!
god i never did think john oates ever soloed with his guitar until i saw this performance with to great solos of john at the end of adult education and downtown life. it is good to see him soloing instead of some other guitarist whos not in the band like G.E. Smith or Pat Buchanan who are very good guitarists
I think it is all about the hair........ the hair is what makes us feel ..... the lion that walks the stage.... the pace ..., and the mane... takes us to the edge............
THE 80S WERE AWESOME! GLAD TO HAVE GREW UP IN THAT DECADE. If you miss the 80s check out the book TEEN PREACHER on AMAZON. it is a real high school 80s flashback with music in the scenes. I guess I miss those days too and daryl hall and John oates is a flag band of that era!!!
Sorry, can't help but noticing that Daryl is so f****ing hot. Feel sorry for John. I know it's about the music and not the looks, so please don't be too critical.
Looks like they were way more pumped up in '85. Daryl just says "fuck it" at the end and Oates has to go rush off stage to see what the deal is. Oh well can you play the same song every show for 3 whole years? The rest of the band killed it tho so tight.
That is how they ended the first segment of all their shows back then with AE and then they would come back and do 4-6 more songs. The whole point is to showcase the band jamming at the end without the focus being on D&J
What a weird ending. Daryl Hall just walks off and John Oates is like wtf and stops playing lead guitar and follows him out for no good reason other than he is Hall and Oates, and the rest of the band, who are excellent, play for a few seconds like they own the show.
the bass line in this concert is absolutely great! love this song
Best live performance of this song so energetic and full of fun

Damn. John's mustache, Daryl's lion mane, T Bone Wolk, Bobby Mayo, and my youth... all gone. Rock on, friends, and long live the memories.
I love the way they walk off stage and the band keeps playing
Love this version and the jeans are the bomb on Daryl. Oh yah! Oh yah!
Daryl with his beautiful mane and that body and voice - perfect!
Eye candy, for sure.
That hair!!!!!!!! Great song 💖
Amazing performance.....Thank for posting!
I'm an atheist but God if u take me back to the late 70's & 80's I swear I'll believe again!!!!! Peace
Ya gotta love the groove this song was written in. Just makes you want to move.
Or something else...

great bass solo at the end!
Great !
Dary Hall, my ideal Man ...
Many thanks for this post.
My dream band!!! Still ove um!!!
This is how you get world class rep. Tom T Bone Burnett's playing on this is ridiculous. Never gets in the way but plays something beyond perfect.
Tom "T-bone" Wolk. T-bone Burnett is a different t-bone.
I get mixed up too, -Wolk.
THIS band was phenomenal!!!
Hall and Oates are cool, but for me T Bone is THE MAN!!! RIP
I think it is all about the hair........ the hair is what makes us feel ..... the lion that walks the stage.... the pace ..., and the mane... takes us to the edge............
Oh yeah, oh yeah!
Best hair ever...
I loved this song. It's my personal fight song when I was in school.
And the reason the mullet once ruled the world..
Great versión OMG !!!

Daryl is an awesome sounding name. The song has a great best.
The hair in this video needs it's own star on the Hollywood walk of fame
this song hits it
GOOD PERFORMANCE!
Holland Oats is the best band from the 80’s
T Bone Wolk Lives on!!!! RIP Tommy
El Dúo magnífico
Great song and album!
Amo el look de Daryl
I can swear...I hear "Add-on, Adobe" in the intro. No matter how much I read the lyrics! xD
Hey that’s the sax player fro Billy Joel’s band
Their hair is so cool

Some song are a little better when done live
This song is MUCH better live.
...….Such a good 'in concert' song
you got to put downtown life and everytime you go away from tokyo on here now!!
Notice... someone isn't playing the bass as usual.
can you tell me what the guitar Oats?
thank you for posting some good videos of hall and please please accpet my invite

It must have been an encore, or perhaps the final song of set list, and then they knew they were coming back for an encore song to end the show.
Sax player looks like a young Ron Perlman
GTA 5 :D
What guitar is oates playing ?
Hall is so f&&ked up on Coke he can barely keep his eyes open lol. Stiil sounds awesome even though he is high as a kite.
Daryl is pinned.
Who is playing the drums? Mickey Curry has already left for Bryan Adams..
British drummer Tony Beard.
mmm yes, i don't know why he vocalizes like that in this here performance..
@mattdawg83686 Pat Buchanan
Maybe Denis Leary needs a Hall wig!!!! LOL!!!!
Who is playing guitar?
Matt Edwards the bass player... Oates.
it's not bobby MAYO, it's bobby JUNIO...
