And I used to tie up rocks for weight and I used a lighter line for my weight ( so it could be broken off) . Thank you for sharing your experience and all the beautiful places that you are going to. I consider myself a avid fisherman but I have nothing on you Gido😂 no way in heck I'm scaling a couple hundred foot cliff to get to a spot. Big brass one's buddy!
Gido, many years ago, a place I worked used to get the local Journo's in a few times a week. Became good friends with a few of them, one was the fishing columnist. He used to say to keep a diary of fishing. Every time you go, how you went, time of year, wind and barometer, bait and tide and what you catch. He said that over the years you get a good, detailed fishing map. You should find the time if you have it :) and start a history and times to fish under certain conditions...
I keep a vague record but I really should note down more details. I also just go fishing when the weather allows
those worms aren't what causes Samson fish to go mushy its actually a completely different paracyte called Kudoa thyrsites and unfortunatly its a paracyte that you cant see.
Worms get the wrap for it because quite often fish will have both worms and Kudoa thyrsites, Kingies, Samson fish, Aussie Salmon, Trevally they all get Kudoa thyrsites. so fi you ever catch a salmon and go to cut it up for bait after leaving it in the esky for a couple hours and it starts to fall apart thats whats causing it it can really be just a luck of the draw (or unluck of the draw) if you get a fish with it

I'm with you mate. I also had a dangerous adventure getting a fish wrap for dinner. I had to cross a busy road to get to the local Fisho. On the way back it rained and the footpath was a little slippery. It was pretty hard core as I didn't have a tie-on or ropes.
