    I had the same issues of being upside down on the Scrambler but not really using it to the potential I knew it had. I went and swapped for a T120 Black since I knew I just wasn't going to make use of the bike, but that 1200XE is such an awesome bike.

      Yeah - honestly, it might be a good thing for me. I think the delay needed to pay down the scrambler will let the reviews of the new Tiger 1200 come out and see if that's something I can consider when I'm in a better financial situation.

      Thanks Erik! Yeah, I really like this screen. There's a decal you can order for the front that hides the speedo and what-not. But I kind of like how it looks without as well. It's very un-intrusive and depending on angle you look at the bike, you can almost not even see it. The more I ride with it, the more I realize how much it's actually doing.

    Such beautiful bikes. I use the same trick with the tape anytime I take my handlebars off or want to fiddle around with adjusting levers. If they would put a monoshock on that I may consider it myself. I just don't get the dual shocks anymore it's almost 2022.

      That is definitely a tough one.
      I will say that the looks of this bike are unique and it is nice to usually be the only person at the local spots with this bike.
      Having said that though, for confident riding off-road (where the scrambler is one heavy SOB), the Tiger 900 would have been a better choice I think. I can't speak to the t7 since I've never rode one. But, if I was buying new right now and didn't have a bike, I'd probably go with the Tiger 900. I'd feel much more confident off-road when I'm on my own (as far as being able to pick it up if I fall).

    • @twowheelsandathrottle
      @twowheelsandathrottle  Год назад

      Yes that is the Tec 2 into 1. I love it because as long as you don't take the baffle out, it's not super loud. It's one of those "when you get on the gas it barks" type exhaust. I did remove the cat, but mainly due to the heat issue. I've heard the Tec exhaust actually works really well with the original cat.

      If the cat is now in the muffler, do you automatically de-cat by changing to the tech?
      BTW - to me, the biggest difference in overall power I seemed to notice was when I removed the air-filter like rubber limiter (not sure what it's actually called). I did do that at the same time as adding the DNA filter so could have been the combination.

    That screen was hopeless for me. Caused massive buffeting. Forunately the blade broke in half when I dropped the bike. So it's not a very flexible or robust material. I've recently fitted a Dart Marlin which, for me, works well and is adjustable on it's mounts for angle. It comes up about 12" from the top of the headlamp shell. I'm 5'10" with average proportions.
    Another thing to mention is that I saw a video recently where the guy had mounted his GPS on the crossbar of the frame and the frame broke. Unit Garage told him that he shouldn't have mounted the GPS there. So they didn't honour the warranty. Not good.
