    Triumph certainly is proud of their branded accessories (here in the US they get $270 for their factory plug-n-play heated grips kit). Also, it's nice to see I'm not the only guy that will occasionally sacrifice a no-name tool (like an Allen wrench) to make one more useful to me.

    I have to admit that looks better. Derrick you have got me using this paint. Done loads to my bike. Mainly subframe. Excellent stuff.

    How's the paint holding up? I'm currently thinking of painting a lot of parts on my bike. I'd also like to do the mud guards and the crash bars (sorry, "dresser" bars) and I'm wondering if I should get them powder coated. Those things will get scratched. I think a power coating might be more durable, but regular paint is easier to fix?
    Would you do it the same way again?

      It's referred to commonly as a 'Guardian Bell', it is traditional gifted to you and is a lucky charm!

    Great video Del, the painted parts match well and provide a better look. Here’s an alternative thread sealer suggestion, for those tight areas. The no drip Loctite 248 Blue Threadlocker 19gm Stick.

      Hi buddy, I do have a tube of that somewhere, it's like the old fashioned Pritt Stick but blue and it does work really well in tight areas, thanks for sharing, always great to hear from you!

    Now you gotta replace your Allen wrench!! Lol I’ve modified many of my tools and my wife not happy bout replacing it … told her we made it work didn’t we?? Grin.

      Yes, almost once a week i have to modify a tool for some job or another.. makes life easier and cheaper then buying specialised ones.!

    OK, Del, I like the blacked out look myself as it's easier to keep clean than brightwork is. If you want to give the engine fasteners that blacked out look, I can recommend Carbolts UK in West Yorkshire, they have a massive range of black stainless steel fasteners in metric sizes.

    Great video, I have been using the spray on my bike and the centre stand, had a tour of Scotland and it's all chipped off, am I doing something wrong on prep

      Certainly if it's just chipping off.. maybe clean it a little more thoroughly with thinners and apply a proper tack coat for a good key.! a main stand lives in a really filthy area, lots of oil and chain lube.. perhaps you didn't clean it all off..?

    Awesome video, would love to do this to my XC. Could you tell me after the washing process do you wipe them with thinners before applying tack coat. And also I'm guessing no lacquer or clear coat needed after the tough paint?

      Thinners is ok carefully, too much and you can melt the old surface.. you could use a panel wipe wax and grease remover.. it's just to thoroughly degrease it first... and No, you don't need anything over the top of Tough paint. !

    hi - i tried your method, worked out great! i want to spray paint some parts in gold, like the supension fork. i couldn't find a comparable gold color from simomiz. can you give me a tip on which color i can use?

    That heatshield for the 2-1 exhaust, which one is that? I've been looking to get that exhaust myself but the heatshield you have there looks a lot better than the default one! :D

      It's a paint term mate, referring to a quick evaporation of the carrier spirits allowing the paint surface to go tacky!

    A Polyurethane 2k is far better than that.
    And it is not so hard to spray either.
    It goes on bare metal, it is very resistent (used to paint frame), looks good and last way longer that spray can

      Not all spray cans are the same, and yes indeed of course 2K paint is always very good, but perhaps you should try this exact product before you slate it... you may even find it useful for the smaller jobs.

      @@Moonfleet41 the thing with spraycans is Always the same, regardless on what is the kind of paint (1/4): 3/4 of the bottle are thinners and solvents (and gasses to put up pressure), and the paint results weaker.
      Yes of course for small Jobs is good, but a small HVLP detail gun could do the job

    100% improvement Del. I love the way Penny speeds up the motion sometimes. Like when you are turning a bolt, or in this case watching paint dry. Keep up the good work my friends. Yours is my #1 favorite RUclips site. I have spent a fair sum of $$$ on some of the same equipment and tools that you use.
