- I’ve started this year 2021 with a loan of the bike, that it will be hard to beat!
TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER 1200 XC ticked absolutely all the boxes to me, riding nearly a month in UK in a middle of winter.
It’s snowing here, and I wish this BIKE still in my garage so I can go out to play! Or better, pack my bags and disappear where my wi-fi does not reach me.
Lots of FILTHY English Country lines for you to virtually ride with me and a beautiful Sudbury, the Market town. Hope you will enjoy the views in nice and warm with a big cup of tea.

In the 80's I had a Triumph Bonneville 650 at one time that was given to my sister to pay a dept. It took me a while to get it running. I rode it for a few months until I found a buyer for her. It was and older one with the shift on the right and brake on the left like my Montesa Scorpion. I tried sitting the new 2006 Triumphs at the time and like most motorcycles I cannot lift my feet off the pegs once in the ridding position, I am hopelessly trapped. I later rented a 2004 Harley 883 Custom with forward controls and found out I had the leg room I needed.!
My bike! I bought it May of ‘21. Love it! I have the green tank/brown leather seat edition. Enjoy!
I love the xc. 89hp 81ft/lb torque 1200 engine. The torque of this bike is amazingly.
Nice video, Deimante. You did well on those dirty roads. The conditions aren’t fun but the Scrambler looked like it coped without any problems! 😁👍

One thing - if you do want to use the bike as a winter rider - avoid the high-level front mudguard - this causes dirty road water to be flicked up over the headlight and rider (and visor!) making it quite simply dangerous on a fast a-road or motorway and quickly covers the headlight at night - the accessory high-level front mudguard is for dry weather posing only!

I think you are lucky having the Xc in the UK in Winter as that engine gets sooooo hot. I bought one out here in Thailand and off road in 42c is no fun...... Great bikes though and such a feel good factor. Nice video by the way 👍
I’m not that lucky as I don’t have it. Only for a few weeks, but yeah that heat here in UK mid winter was a blessing. Not sure if I’d enjoy it in Thailand. Other ways it would be a perfect bike there in that crazy scooters packed traffic. What do you ride there?

I haven’t tried Ducati Scrambler 1100 yet, unfortunately.

Not too expensive to get dirty and well protected if I should unexpectedly kiss the mud.
