i just bought one without a test ride. can’t explain how happy i am. buy it. but it. just buy it. it’s awesome. it’s the best bike you’ll ever own. guaranteed.
After riding my Street Scrambler 900 for a year I test drove Triumph Bobber at MOD and damn it, Triumph should just put this 1200 and 6 speed gearbox everywhere!
This is also my bike, same model and color, until now I love it, very beautiful bike with a powerful engine and quite easy to ride despite his height and larger front wheel! I also was in love with the Speed Twin but it is too small for my height..
“Is there any better scrambler?” The BMW R9t… … is not :( LOL the memory of that day still haunts my dreams, and my wallet. Thanks for the video, great thoughts and early feedback!
Cool video! Going to test ride this & the Speed Twin on Friday, but pretty much made up my mind I'm getting the Speed Twin - & your videos have been very helpful. Cheers mate 👍🏻👍🏻
If anyone out there wants a Scrambler 1200 but is intimidated by the high seat, don’t be. I am not overly tall and I have an XE. If you are already a competent rider you will adapt to the slight changes in technique quickly and you will laugh at yourself for thinking it was going to be an issue.
How tall are you and what's your weight roughly? I love this bike but I have a short inseam 30" and weigh in at 230 at 5'11". I was on my tippy toes. I guess I need more riding experience. Thanks for the vid!
I'm curious what your inseam is. I'm 5'8 with a 30-31 inch inseam and really am thinking of trading the speed twin for one of these for some more versatility when riding. If I had to I could get a low seat but doubt it would be a necessity.
I live on Northern VA, but I'm still catching up on videos I filmed out in CO and MT during May and June. Congrats on an awesome new bike!

I would say that the Tenere, or the newly presented Touareg might be better fits for your offroanding needs.. and I bet they will have a huge discount in a year or Two...something that the triumphs seldom enjoy (it a plus for ownership, but a minus for getting one)
I’d like your perspective…I have a scrambler 1200xc on my way and can’t wait for it. But like I told you on another video I was thinking of trading my INT650 for a speed twin…based on what you said here, would it be worth it to own both the twin and scrambler? Or not that different and I should look for another bike with different riding experience? Thanks. I know opinions are subjective but would like yours
Well in my hands (and I'd argue most people's hands) a Scrambler 1200XC can do 90% of what a Speed Twin will on-road. So riding-wise you'd end up with a lot of redundancy. TBH I think a Scrambler 1200 and INT650 would make for a more versatile pair of bikes than a Scrambler 1200 and a Speed Twin. My ideal two-bike garage would be a Speed Twin and a dual sport (or Himalayan); if I were trying to cover all those same bases with just one bike, that's when I'd opt for a Scrambler 1200. That's just my opinion though, based on my riding needs & experiences; if a Scrambler 1200 and a Speed Twin are both bikes you just really dig, then I cannot discourage you from getting both!
@@VanBlamm well, test rode the new speed twin and it tugged at my heartstrings lol now the INT is gone as of yesterday and now have the 2022 speed twin black!! I love both (speed and scrambler) and they’re different enough for me to enjoy: different ergos, looks, and even HP. So whenever you’re in town, let me know and you can take either for a spin =)
Hi. I’ve got a new 2022 scrambler with only 2000 miles and it has an engine knock. As you already these engines are not known for this problem. It came out of the dealership immediately after a repair and an annual service. Wondering if you had any problems with your engine knocking or if you know anyone with a scrambler that has had a knocking on theirs? Maybe a friend of yours may know what could be causing this knocking. I gave video and a short you can listen to on my channel. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
@@VanBlamm : yes, under warranty. But you know how dealerships are…..they’ll delay until the warranty is up, the charge you big bucks for repairs. I uploaded a coupling short videos so you can hear it. Maybe someone you know might have an idea a new engine would knock.
Luis, this one's for you!
i just bought one without a test ride.

Well now I need to go test ride one. Also, the shorter format definitely gives a good mix with the longer videos. Keep it up!

Love the shorter format! Crips and precise!! Test ride Honda Africa twin, Tiger 1200, and BMW GS and Blamm!!! You'll see the difference! :D
I’ve still got my XC with Zard mufflers 😎. Bought the Speed Twin for a bit more ground clearance and sporty ride 👍🏼.

… is not :(

I really didn't care much for the BMW. The video about that one is going to be even shorter...
please tell us...what did go wrong? I am zero into off roading... but...
Same bike as mine, and I love it 😎✌🏼
Cheers from Portugal 🇵🇹
Zard exhaust is brilliant. Yes: definitely get a light dual sport 👍🤘

Thanks! You really can't go wrong with either one
love this bike, bought it 2 months ago and now get the speed twin 😄 because too hot around the leg
That is a neat little review. Zard exhaust looks a lot better than OE high pipes.

I’m a fan of the Triumph as well, but have you tried the Ducati Desert Sled?
Not yet but I really want to! As far as I'm aware, that's the only other "scrambler" that's actually good off road.

5'8, 30" inseam. To my surprise, it was not too tall at all.
Whoa! I was there yesterday and bought the thruxton RS! Btw did you move?

Sorry man, I've got no idea. If it's a 2022, is there a chance it's still under warranty?

A 4’ two-minutes’ test drive 😅😋😝😜💪🏼✊🏼
Spoiler alert: most of them are going to be closer to 4 than to 2
Makes me wonder if Himalayan with 1200 engine would “ make a better scrambler “…..🤨
Haha as long as they gave it bigger brakes & tires!
… and screw the bloody things together better. Rust in this day and age is a joke!
