Timex has been doing datejust homages for a while. They made pretty much the same watch but with Indiglo and a champagne dial since the 90s (Timex T32827)

When Rolex came to prominence in the 60s the watches were priced for every day people. That is simply no longer the case. As a normal working person Im perfectly happy to never own a Rolex and just purchase homages from reputable makers for normal prices. Enjoy the grey market for your watches that cost the same as a car. Ill pick up 4 watches from timex and satisfy my want for classic looking time pieces.
Hi Aron, In isolation this looks like a nice watch but I’d prefer to see Timex concentrating on what they do best. The beefed up Expedition at the start of the video is what I’d like to see from them. I do understand the homage bandwagon however and it’s just Timex grabbing some of the action I guess. For $120 cant go wrong for a fluted bezel day-date with quartz movement from a reputable watch company. Seiko and Casio dont have any alternatives to this as far as I can tell.

Is that fluted bezel removable?
Why would you want to do that? That’s basically the whole point of this specific watch model. Seiko and Casio may have something more along the lines of what youre looking for.
As someone who has a Tissot gentleman with a smooth bezel (basically tissot’s date-just), the smooth bezel gets knocked and scratched up way easier that you’d think. The fluting on the bezel adds way more durability and makes the watch more “masculine” in appearance.

Maybe people should pull their head out of their butt and realize there are other great brands like Omega, JLC, Cartier and Grand Seiko to name a few.

Very poor execution, the date and day window is way to the center, because a small movement, the day and date are not centered, looks like a Chinese watch, the second's hand is off ... What a mess!.
