I just joined and signed in... This channel is so loaded with practical information about the trucking business. The channel is fair and factual. Have been a fan ever since the Pandemic lock-down (nothing else to do for months on end, home-bound, haha!)... Btw, I am and am currently viewing this from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.
I agree.. Allot of good company jobs out there paying really well compared to the grind BS of an O/O one man band business. Hell, small fleets are going bankrupt all the time with this environment we're in at the moment.
Fuel: What I do now as company driver is purchase only enough fuel for the load and every once in a while I make sure I have reserved money for a reserve which is not spent unless needed. That means, my company gives me an open card with no gallon restrictions, but I don't use the card and just fill up. I also do not run the engine at night unless temperature requires comfort. I will also shut down after I air up the trailer during drop and hook, in a traffic jam, waiting for a long train, stuff like that - I shut down as much as possible and first quarter this year was 9.23MPG in an 2019 (POS) International LT Day Cab - am a local driver. Do you hire American drivers?
Hi Ronen, Is it a Good time for a New driver to purchase a Truck worth $50K today to become OO? How do i join a big fleet as OO and what things to consider? Please advise. Thank you.
Cannot join you live - not enough time when you advertise your plan to go live. I will just go with the replays and will try to go live with you if possible - but am busy at the job! and can't just stop. One day though ... I'll catch a live one !
Hi, I'm bus owner oporeter since 2004 in Dubai, and I really want to be a truck owner Oporeter. And my plan is to visit us truck industry. So can I meet you, and give me some ideas, My plan is next year, can you tell me which city is your office. Please. Thank🙏 you
Why in the world would someone do that??? I wouldn’t even work for a company that offers that option! Figure out how much you want to make and go work for a company that pays that much. Everyone wants to take all of the fun out of trucking
@@NorthAmerican-Trucking-News I get what you’re saying but there are plenty of jobs with time off. Figure out how many days off you want and work for a company that gives that much time off. IMO being an OO is probably not the best way to have free time. The bills don’t stop when the truck does.
Sir, Please support me in getting my dream of becoming a trucker. I would be grateful to you for whole life. I emailed for sponsorship but I didn't get any reply yet.
Hi ronne I been listening your vlog from day one 1 st time I am messaging you how can I contact you really want to talk to you if you don't mind thanks

Much appreciated.
Thanks for joining! We're happy to have you!
With the political climate in America and Canada plus green agenda, as a former owner operator my advise is DON'T DO IT 😢

Thankyou for real advice for to become an owner operator.
We can buy a truck with the trailer and put drivers on it ? the will work with Et
I had both the same APU’s and I like TK because the sound better when your trying to sleep. Carrier really have a bad sound to them
Became an o/o in late 2022, been rough out here. Don’t do it, stay company!!!!!!! It’s still bad out here!
Better to wait until you're absolutely sure you can make your breakeven point at the very least

Do not become an owner operator otherwise you will go broke trust me. Be happy as a company driver
Can you provide me with the list of insurance companies you recommend.

Hi Ronen, would you ever buy a used APU? Also, what are your thoughts on shore power?
We try to avoid buying used but as long as it's been well maintained, it shouldn't pose too much of a problem
Is renting a rental truck worth it as a owner operator ?
ET doesn't hire new AZ drivers. Nobody does. Yet everyone wants 2yr experience...
Here's a list of companies that hire newly licensed drivers that we curated ourselves! truckingacademy.us/products/recruiting-contact-information
@NorthAmerican-Trucking-News thank you. I have applied to literally everyone.. Canada Cartage, KAG, triple K.. etc.. much appreciated!

Thank you, I appreciate❤
this is the worst year to become an operator
Best to wait it out until the moment is right

I think people just want to have more freedom to enjoy trucking rather than be tied down to a company

Cascadias are dogshit and aren't even comparable to the old school trucks. You're wrong on that note.
We are with you
Thank you very much!
