As you can guess I am partial to WindRider. Of the boats I have owned it is my favourite, except for the two boats I built. Check my channel next fall for the latest Elbow Rum video. We expect to have several WindRiders again and one Getaway, along with some other cool boats.
Enjoyed the Admiral's thoughts : ) The flying ama shots and under tramp action was cool. Nice sailing. Was that a suzuki 2.5 on the starboard mount? I have mine on the port side and it is a gem. Very happy with the WR 17 and that kicker motor. Tell the admiral we say WOOF ; )
+Dean Hockenberry Thanks, Dean. Yes, that is a Suzuki 2.5. It is a replacement for the Honda 2.3 that was stolen last fall. Great little motor - I love it. And I will pass on you message to the Admiral!! :)
I would love to get our dogs to enjoy our Hobie. And just a side note, not sure a prong collar is a good choice on the boat in case the dog falls out. A nice wide smooth collar would be safer I think.
Yah, its sort of like that, I guess. But you know, I enjoy sailing on what ever happens to be available. I loved my WR17 - I expect if I had bought it as my first boat, I may never have bought another one. But last year I built a new boat - the second catamaran I have built and I also love it. I still get to sail with a bunch of WindRiders each summer when we do the Elbow Run, and I love to see them sailing because I remember how much fun they are.. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Hobie can't mess with a windrider.
It all depends on conditions. I have seen some very fast Getaways.
@@RodMcLaren yeah. Conditions definitely play a part, but I am partial to the windriders. It's just a cooler boat.

@@RodMcLaren I will check that out.

Excellent video! Good stuff. I sure wish our water looked like that!

A very fine beast.
