Some glow plugs that are bad will still glow with the igniter. The way you can tell is the motor will die as soon as the igniter is removed. This means that the platinum on the plug is gone. Good info in video. Keep burning nitro.
Good information. Now I bit understand why a lot of people wrap some type of tape heater around the heat sink. Also haven't anybody mention this, but they do sell those little fuel pump primer. This hopefully will lessen the pullstart wear n tear. I don't mind at all replacing the pullstart. It doesn't look to difficult.
Hay awesome video helped me out a lot! Couldn't see where your showing the adjustment screw that you were adjusting but I figured it out. Thanks! From G.
If you have weak compression but not terrible is there still a chance the engine won’t start or pull fuel/ won’t prime like not having pressure to pull fuel to start
@@thercgarage1443 and also one last question if a gas tank has a leak can that be the cause too and I could just do a quick gas tank swap from my other nitro

Hey, I have problems with my nitro engine. I have The same engine as shown on this video but i cant get it tuned right. It seems to be too rich (it Took 14 seconds to cut off during pinch test. I tried to Lean it out from lsn but at first it Took The same 14 seconds to cut off. Then i tried to Lean it out More but then it didn't Even start) and i wonder how much The Idle and hsn effects to it. Also when i turned The car over there was coming a lot of Fuel from The exhaust.
Yeah the reality is that these engines just aren’t good I had problems tuning one on one of my other cars there are just cheap and not well built, like I had to replace o rings on carburetor right out of the box because they were the right ones so you could try that to start and see if that helps and try to find any place that u might have a leak or a bad seal but Ultimately these engines just aren’t good
Reset the carb needles to the factory settings and try to tune from there if that doesn’t work you might need to rebuild the carb or replace it all together
My slash nitro flywheel got stuck . I barley got it today and I was trying to break it in . An out of nowhere the flywheel got stuck don't move I have to force it ? Can u help me out
I have brought a rc car of my mate for cheap but it’s a really rare one and i have made everything work receiver and all electrics but now I’m trying to start it my engine won’t start can you help
I’m sure nitro fun and all but between the gas smell, noise and all the other unnecessary bs , just to say you run nitro is far from the best idea. Try electric, I did and haven’t looked back. Electric is just as fast and just as fun without the smell or dealing with a tiny engine. Unless you are really just into the hobby for fixing and wrenching. Which is great. But for consistency I feel the switch to electric was the best move I’ve made. I hope you get it figured out. Nothing more fraud than thinking yup figured it out and then it’s midnight and have to start over.
I run both and I love electric as well but I like smells and noises so it’s just what you prefer and I started with nitro so it will always be my favorite but like I said I love electric aswell
@@thercgarage1443 if the wife wasn’t final say, I’d at least have 1. I can also admit I know nada about real engines and the way they work so hats off there. I can still smell at the motocross track as a kid and the racing environment wouldn’t have been as memorable if it weren’t for the buzz of two strokes and the smell of my youth. I’m a little jealous lol
This is the best video I've watched on how to tune step by step .

Need to adjust the camera angle cause everytime you go to show something you move the car out of the field of view.

Never seen someone do too many turns on the carb. The best way I seen is to to do 1 needle at a time. This is going to throw ppl off.
