Thank you for helping me and my peace lily I overwatered, put her in new soil and relocated her now I will just wait. And the little person in the video is so sweet and gentle as she was like holding the leaf so carefully. I didn’t see her kiss the plant but I kiss ALL MY PLANTS even the prickly ones I want to be a great plant mom for my greenery family. Thank you again
I recently transplanted my lily and she is stressed to the max! This will be my third or fourth time resuscitating her. Clearly I'm not good at this, but my husband is tired of buying me a peace Lily every March just for me to throw it out by the end of the year. I'm really hopeful she pulls it together again for me so we can continue this bond we share.
Thank you! My girl was so pretty! Had outgrown her pot so I changed her and she has been sad for A few days now. I won’t water her, I’ll just let her adjust to her new home. The new pot is only two inches bigger than the previous one. Hopefully, she’ll come back. Rhanks again!
My plant 🪴 baby looks just like this after a repot. I took her to the nursery and now I’m just patiently waiting on her to bounce back. She is very sentimental to me as I was given her at my sister’s funeral! 😢🫶🏽🕊🪴
I love your soothing voice. I received my peace Lily after my mom died on Christmas. At first she was dry so i started watering her frequently. Then i thought she needed more light so i moved her to the window and began watering her daily. Oh nooo she drooped sadly. Thank you for sharing, I've moved her again and will check the soil this weekend and re-pot her if she doesn't recover
GREAT INFO!!! You explained ALL the possible problems so well. I did NOT know about the "too much light" issue. After transplanting, I installed a 5000K, 5500L light bar--OH!!! My poor girl!!! I was BAKING HER TO DEATH!!!
You plant looks great. I have the same problem with my own. It has very sentimental value so I am doing all I can to help it survive. Thanks for all your tips. Happy New year.
Thank you ! It’s made my mood up now. I was so upset that my favourite plant was dropping leaves. Probably I over water it and after seeing it’s dropping leaves I added more water 😢.
When I bought the peace lily a week ago, I washed all leaves and the flower, and it started dropping. I let it dry outside and blow dry. It just seemed dead, but your peace lily looked dramatically dropped as well. I was about to take it out or throw but will wait one more week quitely after hearing it isn't dead. Thank you for the hope haha...
GURL! You just made my mind at ease! I've been trying to figure out why mine started drooping BIG time, and it's most likely because I divided it, repotted them, watered them, and left them out overnight and day on my shaded porch. I am assuming TOO much sun, and Transplant Shock, as well as Shock from being in a different not-so-warm place?
Such a great video. I was given a peace Lilly after my grandmother passes. It started to wilt, I put it outside and it recovered. I brought it back in to keep it away from the sunlight and she started to wilt again. So then I put her back outside and she's wilting even further. I am going to perform all of your diagnostics to see if I can bring her back. Thanks again for the video.
I am having issues with one of my peace lilies. I have done everything to restore her. Replanted, dry her out , move her to other areas in the house but of no avail. I talk to her, flanked her with two other plants for company, I sang to her but still nothing. Last summer I had them on my front porch and they did very well, even bloomed. I brought it in for winter and the trouble started after I gave it some fertilizer. It had a wick in it to indicate when it needed more water.
Thanks for this my peace Lily is struggling and is still drooping. I reckon it could be overwatering and Transplant shock. Hopefully she rises in the next few days without water
Wow! Great Job! I have a question- I have a peace Lilly that smells really bad, and dying, I notice that the pot had plastic inside so the plant couldn't breathe. My question is, should I repot it? Take the old soil out and put new soil in it?
I repotted my lily three months ago (my wife got the plant on her father’s passing and I have cared for it neither of us are green thumbs), I was assuming it was root bound but it is not coming back I had used advice from another video but missed something I love the knowledge you bring and am thinking about pulling it out to look for rotting.
Thank you so much for explaining. Mine is droopy as I changed location and it had too much sunlight. How long does it take to recover and stand up back. Please suggest
Thank You I have a problem like that because of repotting. I will just leave her alone for some time so she can recuperate from the stressful transfer to her new environment.
I have recently repotted my peace lily and I added fertilizer and now it's drooping. The roots were white and firm when I repotted. I've moved it away from medium bright room but now a couple of leaves are turning yellow. Any advice?
Peace lillies are gorgeous. Am worried I ruined mine though :( The revival capacity in plants is amazing though! Plants are such a precious gift to mankind.
Yes, you can trim peace lily leaves to promote healthy growth and keep the plant looking its best: Remove damaged leaves: Trim leaves that are yellow, brown, or have brown tips. You can also remove old outer leaves. Cut at the base: Cut the leaf stem as close to the base of the plant as possible. Cut at an angle: It's best to cut at an angle instead of straight across. Trim to improve air circulation: If leaves are too large or crowding other leaves, trim them back to improve air circulation. Trim to prevent pests and diseases: Pruning can help prevent pests and diseases from taking hold in dense foliage. Use clean shears: Clean your shears with alcohol to avoid spreading any potential pathogens. Wear gloves: Wear gloves for your own safety, as the sap can be irritating to the skin. (Source: Google)
I have a peace lily I received 2 years ago (from my sister's funeral) and it has been re-potted once. Recently, it started to droop & now all the leaves are drooping. Some of them are yellow. I don't want to lose it but I am afraid that once I start trimming the leaves I will do more damage than good. Any suggestions or advice?
Ive never had mine droop that bad. Also wouldnt let it get that bad. Even with my one that was in a teracotta pot that got root bound and the top of the soil got compacted so needed water every dew days. it looked sad but never that level. Think i just was aware of mine needing more water so i checked it every day or every second day.
I didn't realize my peace lily was drooping because of too much light. I recently got two daylight led bulbs 5000k and it started drooping after I left the light on for 12 hours. I also think I need to repot it because the stems are too close together.
My peace Lilly was drooping earlier.I put it in my window sill where it was getting direct light plus the roots were sticking out and I haven't watered her since I got her a week ago.Watered and moved her to my kitchen (no direct sunlight) and hopefully my baby will bounce back.lol
Thanks for the info. I just transplanted my peace lily into a bit smaller pot as I thought her pot was too big for her and its been a couple of days now her leaves still drooping. I can't water her as her soil still damp. So I just misted the leaves, now we have a little rain tonight, I leave her there. I hope she can comeback to life soon.
I think the mother stem still alive as she is still trying to produce small leaves but died before it grows. I'm still trying to survive her. I hope she can make it.
My plant was doing well my co worker gave to when my pass in April. It was doing well. Till I repotted the plant I gave to much water in my apt it get very hot around .3pm Now it dropping so bad that my blood pressure went up. I love that plant. I change the soil due the wer soil. Now I'm leaving it alone. In one wk not better put in vase with water. Help
I got mine about a month ago so I repotted and put some fertiliser and she was looking happy and all but I realised a bit of fungi was growing where the fertiliser was so I put the the plant outside for some air and the fungus disappeared. Last week I gave more fertiliser and some water. the fungus came back and the leaves and flowers started dropping. Initially thought it was too cold so I increased the heating a bit . She’s still not happy ad I don’t know how to fix her. Help 😥
I have my dad’s funeral peace lily. I repotted it almost 4 weeks ago and he’s been drooping for 3 weeks now. I have drainage holes, but I think I put him in to big of a pot. The soil on the bottom is really wet too, and he hasn’t been watered in a week and a half. I spoke to a local nursery that said the soil just needs to dry out, and don’t try to put him in a smaller pot until he’s perked back up. I’m just afraid he’s going to get root rot, and die. I’ll be devastated if he dies!🥺
I'm on my second peace lily. It's much smaller than the first one. Now the leaves keep turning black like it's been burnt!! I've moved it to indirect sun, water then don't water. I've pruned over half the black leaves out. It looks awful. I'm about to ditch it. Any tips??
I just got a peace lily and man is she temperamental! Lol. I’m still extremely new to plants and I’m hoping I can save my peace lily! I think she’s been overwatered. 😕
Yes! Mine is too. I have to water mine about every other day for her to be happy. If you think you’ve overwatered her just let her sit for a couple of days and see if that helps. Good luck!!
@@ShamoniqueMattox just following up! I repotted my peace lily, gave her a little haircut and she's good as new! I've learned that she likes being watered every 3 days or so. Thanks for the tips!
Hopefully she comes back up! My leaves start drooping about every 5 days. Once I give her water she pops right back up. Hopefully some of the tips in the video can help 😊
