Nice review. I am waiting fro my rosewood country calf boots which will be with me in few weeks. But I do have an option to pick up one in Walnut Country calf that is readily available now in my size. What's your take on the colour for these boots?
Both are lovely, I'd take both haha 🤣 but they're a bit different to my one. They're a bit more country styled vs my pair. But between them, I personally have always lusted after the Rosewood. There's something special about the way that leather ages. What are you currently thinking??
@@jessupsays . Your boots are more dressier and lovely in comparison to the Galways am looking at. Also loved the colour combination of yours. In terms of dress boots I do have the Charlton Balmoral boot from Crockett and Jones which I love. But had my eyes on Galway's for a while. Plus I am on a boot collecting journey right now. So am getting rosewood for sure as it's in making. Walnut country calf - am almost 90% there, need to convince myself for the remaining 10% :D only a matter of time. But the one which has slowly crept in my my mind is Galway boot in their nightshade antique calf London grain leather. Would look epic. thoughts? One can never really stop at one !
Thank you for saying so. I wanted something unique and dressy, which is what I got. But I can certainly appreciate the other designs they do haha. And other brands too! Enjoy the collecting journey! EG make a lot of really nice products, and the Galway is particularly iconic. And its really comfortable which is a bonus haha. The nightshade is very interesting, its got the purple tone to it. But i think the Country Calf would be more useful if you've got more casual styling. I think the Nightshade is on the sleeker last too? Maybe you get one country, one more sleek? Hahaha. Welcome.
@@jessupsays oh yes, its unique and dressy alright! l have tried the boots and they are comfy indeed. Yours is 82 last or 202 last? 82 is more sleek than 202 I believe. Have you built a good EG collection? I think one can always find use for boots, specially if darker colour :D for the sleek and defined, I lean on my Gaziano and Girling Thorpe boots.. dressy but can be dressed down too :D
Indeed, important to have a range of suitable footwear options right ;) Yes, the 82, and yes the 202 is a bit more 'English Country' as its a bit rounder and shorter looking. Perfect for the Country Calf/ any grained boot. I've just got these from EG, I've tried the Dover and a variety of loafers but never put one on that I really needed/ wanted to own. Except the Galway which I couldn't ignore. The G&G Thorpe is another lovely boot that I've often thought about hahaha. Maybe when I come North and get to London Ill come try things on. Never know!
Thank you, appreciated. I've heard it pronounced a half dozen different ways honestly haha. From the 'GAUL-Waee' to the 'gal-way' soft way I say it. But yes, i agree its probably meant to be pronounced differently
"... your signature for an undisclosed future task." 😆 Great video.
😁 Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very thorough review. Well done sir!

Nice video! Has the suede stretched at all?
6.5 UK size = 7 US size (it is not a size range).
Next pair, go for the 202 last. 🙂
WoW. You blew my mind, that makes complete sense, no idea how I didn't consider that!
The suede is incredible tight and supple.
Nice review. I believe its pronounced Gall-way (ias you said in Ireland). There is a place in Scotland called Galloway
