Beautiful choices! Can't wait to see them blooming in. your garden. In Kansas City, zone 6a/b, we bury the bud union about two inches below soil level.
This was interesting to me! I really want to have more roses this year. I've had to fight off the critters (moles or voles) and lost one last year. We are planing on getting some wooden planter boxes and I want to put a couple rose bushes in one of them. I can't wait to see what your roses look like when they bloom!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! We have a large deer problem in our yard… They tend to think my garden is an ‘all you can eat buffet’ with all my roses. You’ll see my roses bloom this season in my ‘what’s blooming in mistaken garden’ series ❤️🌿
Love it! Great for me who doesn't know what I am doing at all with roses. I think I made a few mistakes watching your video. What is the reason for the crown needing to be above the soil? Thanks so much, great video!
They are classed tall shrubs and small climbers here in England two of which this Lady has required l also have growing one of them 12 ft the other 11ft.
@spurstrex SW UK here. My Lark is HUGE! They make such a great informal hedge and I have one which just throws herself around the back of a border. Great rosehips too, as does Malvern Hills. I'm a Ghislaine and Phyllis fan myself.
Hello -- I enjoyed your video re: your new rose varieties for 2024. I recently moved to Victoria and am in the process of establishing my new garden and have a handful of David Austin roses I'm looking to expand. I think DA roses are my new obsession. Can I ask the name of the supplier you used?
Oh this is so exciting!! DA roses are nice, but there are many other roses out there, like Weeks roses that are really stunning. I buy my roses from a wonderful lady in Parksville, however there is a nursery I love in north saanich called ‘Russell nursery’ and they have lots of DA roses. You’ll have to invite me over this summer for a little tour of your garden ❤️
Hi I'm willow and new here❤ I'm in Victoria b.c! Drop by if you'd like and bring a cuppa tea, see the play list, lots to look at So neat meeting another Islander❤❤❤
Yes they are.... these are noway the latest David Austin Roses they have been around for years. There are newer and arguably far better ones been released in the last 3 years

Congrats in the new roses! Can’t wait to see them in bloom. (Love that they are fragrant!)
Are you buying any roses this season?
@@TheMistakenGarden probably not in the cards this season. Too many other projects ….but who knows lol

Oh that’s interesting! Here, our soak gets very wet in the winter, so by keeping the crown above the soil, it doesn’t get too wet 🩷
Beautiful! I love the climbers. 🌹
Thank you! I don’t know where to plant mine yet lol. We also bought our house in 2021 too. You get so many views on your videos, way to go ❤️
New sub #73 😊
@@BellasWhisperFarmstead you are too sweet. Thank you 💚

@@TheMistakenGarden I enjoyed my roses for awhile each summer and then I come out one morning and they're all stripped- deer.
I’m waiting for mine first ones in the mail as we speak🙌🙌 the more I buy the more I want!
I know…. I bought a bunch last year and now I’m hooked!

Nice❤
Thank you!
mill on the floss and lark ascending are not climbers , they are just very tall shrubs.
Yeah, it should be interesting to see how they grow in my yard. I might just plant them against the chainlink fence and let it kind of cover it.
